Coronation Street spoilers: Ken Barlow threat has fans in hysterics – can you guess why?

The vicar (played by Daniel Brocklebank) was recently revealed as the culprit behind Susan Barlow’s (Katie Heannau) death, with Peter (Chris Gascoyne) taking it upon himself to sort Billy out once and for all last night.

Billy plunged from the edge of a cliff but miraculously lived to fight another day – much to the disbelief of the viewers at home.

During the latest instalment of Coronation Street, Ken (William Roache) put Billy in his place with an impassioned speech.

As Billy scrambled over this words, Ken snapped: “I don’t want to hear it. She was my child. You have no idea of the pain of losing something so precious.”

He continued: “You don’t only owe me. You owe Peter and Adam (Sam Robertson) as well, and now I’m calling in the debt.

“Whatever Peter put you through, it’s nothing compared to what you put us through.”

“He nearly killed me,” Billy cried, which was met with a brutal unsympathetic: “But he didn’t.”

“If anybody asks [what happened on the cliff], you fell. Anybody. You understand?” Ken finished.

While Ken may have terrified Billy, viewers were in stitches as they compared the soap patriarch to a string of gangster icons.

“Friday’s episode Billy wakes up with a horses head next to him #corrie,” chuckled one audience member, as another teased: “Ken’s gone De Niro.”

“Is Ken Barlow the Godfather of Weatherfield?” asked a third, which was followed by: “Ken Barlow acting like Tony Soprano.”

“Who does Ken think he is, The Godfather?” added one more.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV
