How old is Meghan Markle? Prince Harry’s wife will be oldest royal bride ever

Meghan Markle is set to marry Prince Harry on 19 May 2018.

The Suits actress has been dating the Prince for 18 months, and has a fairly successful acting career behind her.

The LA-born US native starred as sexy paralegal Rachel Zane in cable network drama Suits before her life with Prince Harry began.

She also worked as a briefcase girl on the US version of Deal or No Deal, and practiced calligraphy to support herself between acting jobs.

How old is Meghan Markle?

Meghan Markle is 36-years-old, and her birthday is on 4 August.

Being born in 1981, the future royal is three years older than her fiance.

Meghan is also a divorcee, having previously been married to long-term beau film producer Trevor Engelson.

The actress played a bartender in one of his more successful movies Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson.

Meghan is set to break with tradition in a number of ways when she marries Prince Harry, 33, by being a divorcee, American and the first person of mixed heritage to marry into the royal family.

But there is one more way in which Meghan makes an unusual royal bride.

Meghan will be one of the ‘oldest’ brides to marry into the royal family.

Kate Middleton was also in similar position when she married Prince William in 2011 age 29.

Despite Camilla Parker-Bowles, very few women over 30 have married into the immediate royal family.

In 1152 Eleanor of Aquitaine married future King Henry II aged around 30.

It is also thought that famous Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife could have been as old as 32 – however this is not known for sure.

Prince Harry’s wedding date is on 19 May 2018, but why did they choose this day?
