Selling Sunlight Offers Faceless Merchants And Fluffy Bees

We all make mistakes, some of them big, some of them small. That being said, having your face stolen by the sun must be the result of some pretty awful life choices. And yet here you are, a faceless person, trying to get by as a wandering merchant – and to get your old life back. Face included, I presume.

Made with “watercolors and love” and hatched as part of Failbetter Games’ incubation program, Selling Sunlight is a narrative RPG where “everything will be okay eventually”. That’s one hell of a sales pitch. Instead of the usual RPG trappings, you’re not traveling the world to kill monsters and level up, but to make friends, trade, or just explore. Apparently there will be giant fluffy bees, too!

“You are trusted. You are hated. You are a mysterious, charming mess of a merchant. You mostly confuse people a lot.”

All of this looks utterly charming and unique. If you want to see Selling Sunlight become reality, consider backing the game’s Kickstarter campaign or trying the demo. You can also follow developers Cose Belle on Facebook and Twitter.
