The Global Citizen Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 24 with live musical performances in New York City and Accra, Ghana. The event is meant to bring awareness to global poverty and other issues impacting the international population.

Viewers are encouraged to take a pledge to end extreme poverty, and the festival's website also provides information on how to help activists and defend women's rights around the world. 

If you can't make the festival in person, don't worry, you can still catch all of the action online through multiple platforms. 

How to watch Global Citizen Festival 2022

The Global Citizen Festival will be broadcast internationally on several platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter. A stream will also be available via the Global Citizen app on Android and Apple devices. The broadcast will run for 10 hours, beginning at 4 p.m. ET in New York City on September 24. 

ABC News Live will also broadcast the event in the US; other international partners include Albavision in Latin America, Canal+ and TimesLive in Africa, Bis in Brazil, and 9Now in Australia.

Two highlight shows will air on TV in the US the following day, September 25. FX will have a two-hour special airing at 5 p.m. ET, and ABC will air a one-hour primetime special at 7 p.m. ET.

Who is playing at the Global Citizen Festival?

Global Citizen Festival 2022 features musical performances by artists at two stages, with one in New York City and the other in Accra, Ghana. Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas will host the festival in New York, while Danai Gurira of "The Walking Dead" will host the festival in Accra.
