PUBG Mobile LIVE in UK: How to download Battlegrounds on iOS, Android

PUBG Mobile has finally made its iOS and Android debut in the UK.

After a gradual rollout that started in Canada and then the US, Battlegrounds has now made its way to the UK.

You can download PUBG Mobile for free from the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android.

In terms of storage space, PUBG Mobile takes up just 890.5 MB on iOS and 706 MB on Android.

The mobile version is developed with Chinese company TenCent, and is a pretty faithful recreation of the battle royale blockbuster.

The biggest changes are the touch controls, which can be a problem for most mobile and tablet ports.

Much like Fortnite Mobile, one side of the screen is used to move your character, while the other side is assigned to actions and weapons.

PUBG Mobile is developed using the Unreal Engine 4.

“The powerful Unreal Engine 4 creates a jaw-dropping visual experience with rich detail, realistic gameplay effects and a massive HD map for Battle Royale,” reads the App Store description.

“Feel like you’re in the thick of the action as you play with high-quality audio, immersive 3D sound effects and 7.1 channel surround sound.”

With voice chat and messaging, players can also invite and team up with friends.

“Survive the battle with your friends. Invite and team up with your friends, coordinate your battle plan through voice chat and set up the perfect ambush.”

The news comes as PUBG gets a brand new update on Xbox One.

In addition to graphical optimisations, fans can expect a redesigned user-interface, as well as an improved selection of weapon slots and attachments.

One of the more useful additions is the release of a new counter that shows how many players are left in the airplane.

From March 22, Xbox One players will be able to pick up the Varsity jacket for free.

Once live, the brand new cosmetic item can be found in the customisation tab of the inventory.
