Mass Effect Andromeda patch: New update, cosmetic items and BioWare notes confirmed

The new Mass Effect Andromeda patch was confirmed by the studio yesterday, revealing that more of the game’s lingering problems are set to be tackled.

Series producer Michael Gamble revealed the news on Twitter, telling fans to expect a new game update around 5pm UK time.

“The next patch comes out tomorrow 10 AM MDT. Then we roll right onto creating the next one for you,” he wrote.

Gamble also confirmed that a full list of Mass Effect Andromeda patch notes will also be released alongside the new update.

One of the confirmed fixes is for the Nomad shield crafting quest, while another launch for owners of the Deluxe Edition was also revealed.

According to Gamble, those who bought the special version of the game will be the first to get access to new cosmetic items for main Character, Ryder.

There was also mention of a new casual outfit and additional Nomad skins, although fans will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to have a full list of new content.

There is currently no word on whether there will be any news released this week on additional Mass Effect Andromeda DLC, which is likely being saved for the EA PLAY event during E3 2017.

With Mass Effect Andromeda receiving a few negative review scores, BioWare promised to make a series of improvements to single and multiplayer.

In a recent blog post, the studio said: “Since launch, our team has been poring over your comments and feedback, looking to discover what you like about the game, as well as areas we can evolve or improve.

“Over the next two months we’ll be rolling out additional patches which will go even deeper and look to improve several areas of the game.”

This includes more options in the character creator, improvements to the appearance of characters, more romance options for Scott Ryder and changes to conversation options for Hainly Abrams.

Needless to say, fans can also expect additional performance and stability fixes, although the extent of this has yet to be revealed.

Fans will also be hoping to hear more about new APEX missions soon, so far the game has received a total of five from BioWare.
