Man Utd crisis: Paul Pogba giving Jose Mourinho ‘silent treatment’ amid Old Trafford row

Pogba and Mourinho have been embroiled in a feud since the end of January when the midfielder was hauled off in Manchester United‘s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.

The 25-year-old was then dropped for the win over Huddersfield and after starting the next game against Newcastle, he was once again subbed off.

He was named on the bench for the 0-0 draw against Sevilla but came on due to an injury to Ander Herrera.

Then in the second leg, Pogba was yet again named on the bench by Mourinho and failed to make an impression as a substitute as United crashed out of the Champions League.

And according to The Sun, the relationship between Pogba and Mourinho is at rock-bottom.

It is claimed Pogba now only communicate through assistant boss Rui Faria and the backroom staff.

Speaking last week, former France international Emmanuel Petit claims the split was due to Pogba losing motivation working under Mourinho.

“Pogba’s problem is that he lost some of his motivation with Mourinho,” he said.

“They are really cold. I remain convinced that the cold is still persistent, that Paul is very disappointed with this relationship that is deteriorating as is the club’s playing identity.

“We are talking about the most expensive player in the history of Manchester United, who does not play!”
