ITV This Morning: ‘It’s not appreciated’ Eamonn Holmes reveals secret about co-hosts

, 59, regularly presents the Friday and Sunday edition of This Morning, alongside his wife and co-host , 58.

As well as interviewing guests on the , the pair sometimes get involved with the live cooking segments while also indulging in the culinary delights.

However, presenters of the show, including Phillip Schofield, 56, and Holly Willoughby, 37, are always positive about the food they taste.

Not all as it seems however, as Eamonn has now revealed how the presenters manage to keep a straight face, even if they dislike what has been prepared.

“Basically, 99 per cent of TV is fake,” the presenter admitted to Radio Times.

“Everybody assumes a role that they’re not in real life, so all we do is pull back the curtain a bit.”

Speaking specifically about the live cooking segments, Eamonn added: “No one ever tells the truth.

“When do you ever hear someone say, ‘That’s not very nice?’ I’ve learnt that when you tell the truth, it’s not often appreciated.”

However, not everything is an act, as Ruth revealed on working with her husband: “There are lots of presenting duos, but we’re a genuine couple.

“You can’t fabricate that, can you?”

The couple were on hand once again this weekend as the second of ten episodes of This Morning Sunday aired, but viewers were somewhat distracted.

As it was a Sunday, the presenters were seen wearing more comfortable attire instead of dressing in smarter clothes.

Eamonn was wearing a seemingly oversized v-neck knitted jumper, with viewers less than impressed and took to Twitter to react.

One viewer wrote: “Eamonn – who dressed you today?? #ThisMorning.”

Another added: “#ThisMorning who has put that jumper on Eamonn? It’s way too big!! I know you’re going for relaxed Sunday but please wear clothes that fit!!!”

Commenting on the dress code, a third stated: “#ThisMorning What’s the story with Eamonn’s jumper? It’s way to big for him.”

Following on from presenting Dancing On Ice on Sunday night, Phillip and Holly were back on hand to present Monday’s show.

However, Phillip wanted to point out an error Holly had made on the dancing show the previous evening.

After Phillip recounted the mistake via a snapchat video, it was revealed Holly had accidentally said “Dancing on a***,” instead of “Dancing on ice”.

Horrified after watching the clip, Holly admitted: “I don’t think anyone noticed. You can see my eyes go really wide after I said it.”
