Epic Games confirmed at the end of March that they had been forced to diable the Fortnite Stats Tracker and Leaderboards features.
This was due to several concurrent issues affecting the back-end health of the game, which were affecting Fortnite core services.
These problems were fixed, although Epic Games were forced to keep the Stats Tracker and Leaderboard features offline.
And unfortunately for those players who are itching to see how they are doing, they have continued to be disabled in-game for the past week.
WHEN WILL FORTNITE STATS AND LEADERBOARD INFORMATION RETURN?
The good news is that Fortnite Stats are still being properly recorded, so players won’t see a scrub of their recent progress.
The Stats and Leaderboards from Fortnite have been temporarily hidden to reduce load until some of those additional improvements are made.
The official Epic Games sites says that there are not any workarounds to seeing your stats, so fans will have to continue being patient.
The Epic Games issue tracker suggests that a fix could be ready for one of the game’s next patches, although it’s unclear if we will see anything changes this week.
The “Stats not displayed in-game” ticket currently has a “Fixed In Future Release” label, so we might not be too far off their return.
However, while this all looks good it should also be noted that Epic Games do not have a release date confirmed for this new bug fix.
The site currently provides this information on the issue, stating: “We don’t currently have a time frame of when they will be displayed again, we’ll update you once we do.”
It should also be noted that Epic have labelled several other bugfixes as being ready for the next Fortnite patch, while the Stats Tracker issue is not.
Epic Games will likely announce the launch of a new patch on there social media feed, so it will be worth checking there for the latest news this week.
Fans can of course use other outside third-party websites to track their stats in the meantime, or those of their favourite players.
It follows the news that the development team may be about to change the Fortnite map in a big way.
Fortnite fans recently spotted a comet floating in the skies above Tilted Towers.
This has led to speculation that Epic Games is getting ready to level the region in a bid to balance the game.
One popular theory is that the comet will strike Tilted Towers at the end of season 3 on April 30.
This is based on a morse code message linked to newly discovered controller rumblings.
According to one Reddit user, the rumblings translate to “SOS D 5 418”, which supports the Tilted Towers theory.
Tilted Towers is located at D5 on the map, while 418 could be a reference to April 2018. The SOS, meanwhile, is pretty self-explanatory.
