Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert returns to London after THREE years

Final Fantasy Distant Worlds is finally coming back to London after a lengthy absence.

The official orchestra for the Square Enix JRPG series will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall this November.

It comes three years after the last Distant Worlds concert, held in the capital on November 2014.

The concert will be held on November 4 and Final Fantasy’s famed composer Nobuo Uematsu will be in attendance.

The Japanese musician, known as the ‘Beethoven of the video game industry’, was behind Final Fantasy’s most iconic scores – including fan favourite Final Fantasy 7.

The iconic JRPG featured Aerith’s Theme, which in 2012 was voted 16th in Classic FM’s annual Hall of Fame chart.

Tickets start at £25, while the most expensive package will set you back £145. This includes a meet and greet session with Nobuo Uematsu and conductor Arnie Roth.

“There will be a limited capacity meet and greet reception held at Royal Albert Hall after the performance,” a spokesperson said.

“Meet composer Nobuo Uematsu and conductor Arnie Roth in an exclusive signing event!”

Other bonuses includes…

  • Premium seating for the performance in the Stalls, Section K
  • Post-show standing reception in a Royal Albert Hall room
  • Beer, wine and soft drinks served with refreshments
  • Meet with composer Nobuo Uematsu and conductor Arnie Roth
  • Tour booklet including images from Yoshitaka Amano
  • Autograph session and photo opportunity

At a separate upcoming event, the London Symphony Orchestra will be performing Uematsu’s work at another concert at the Barbican in June.

The news comes as Square Enix are marking the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy this year.

They recently revealed new artwork for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 remake and are expected to release a collection that features the first nine games in one release for the PS4 and PS Vita.
