
Speaking on her self-titled ITV show today, host Lorraine Kelly, 57, implied that the Northern Irish actor thinks the sequel is “rubbish”.
Discussing his appearance at the BAFTAs last night alongside wife Amelia Warner, she praised their romance – but went on to slate the films.
“Now that’s a good looking fella and a beautiful woman too,” she said.
“But that movie’s rubbish. Fifty shades of nonsense.”
The broadcaster added: “But he knows it’s rubbish as well.”
Fifty Shades Darker has an appalling score on aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, clocking in at just 9% – one of the worst mainstream scores of all time.
Its audience score, however, is a much more favourable 64%.
In contrast, Fifty Shades of Grey had a 25% rating from critics and 41% from audiences.
