On Friday night, fans of the BBC One soap feared for Kush Kazemi’s (played by Davood Ghadami) life as he underwent life-changing heart surgery after being told he was suffering from Brugada Syndrome.
However in the latest instalment, Kush appeared to have made a miraculous full recovery as he was next seen sitting in the cafe with his new fiancée Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
Those watching were even more baffled when the market stall holder went to visit his mother Carmel (Bonnie Langford) in the hospital as many thought it should have been the other way round.
Flocking to Twitter, viewers couldn’t get over Kush’s remarkable recovery as one person wrote: “Is it just me or has tonight’s Eastenders got loads of gaps. I’m so confused right now.”
Another person thought they had memory loss and commented: “Had a couple of drinks on Friday night, didn’t think I was that drunk that I forgot a whole episode of #eastenders #confused @bbceastenders.”
“Deffo aired the wrong episode #eastenders,” a third said.
Another confused fan wrote: “So last time I watched #eastenders Kush was on way to surgery and Denise proposed, Now he’s sat in cafe and mum in hospital @bbceastenders.”
But one fan assured viewers there wasn’t a continuation fault as they wrote: “Kush had an ICD defibrillator put in him. Hour op max and you go home same day. Not major surgery. #eastenders.”
