EastEnders spoilers: Karen Taylor’s EXPLOSIVE secret about Keanu’s dad Shane exposed

Little is known about Keanu’s (played by Danny Walters) dad, and there has rarely been a mention of the character since the Taylor and Baker family arrived in Walford.

However, Karen Taylor actress Lorraine Stanley revealed that the family will be plunged into turmoil after a family secret is exposed.

Karen explained the truth to Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) about her past, with Keegan (Zack Morris) eventually finding out that Shane attacked and almost killed her off-screen years ago.

Lorraine told how repercussions from the off-screen scenes will creep up in upcoming storylines.

Could Shane turn up in Albert Square in a shocking twist?

If so, Lorraine believes that there could be a huge threat against the Taylor family.

She said to OK!: “It’s something really dark that could change Keanu’s life forever if he finds out.

“If the secrets of the past are unleashed, trouble could turn up on his doorstep and there’s huge potential to threaten the Taylors.”

While a new actor could join the soap to fill the role of Shane, it has been confirmed by bosses that another character will leave.

Blue star Lee Ryan will be written out of the popular BBC soap after less than a year of playing his character Harry “Woody” Woodward.

Lee, 34, joined the soap in 2017 and made his first appearance on April 18.

The character was involved in various storylines while in Albert Square and was mainly linked with Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) and the rest of the Carter family.

Gaining a job as a barman at the Queen Vic, Woody was involved in the sale of the freehold to Weyland & Co.

He made his exit shortly after joining on May 19. However, he returned a month later in June 2017 and announced that he and Whitney (Shona McGarty) were engaged.

Woody was then offered a job in Spain as a barman and decided to accept. Worrying about breaking the news to his fiancée, Woody and Whitney initially argued before she eventually agreed – believing that he would return.

He later left a note saying that Whitney would be better in Walford and without him, and that he has left without her.

An EastEnders spokesperson confirmed Lee’s exit from the soap, saying: “We can confirm that Lee will be leaving EastEnders when his storyline concludes this spring.”
