Duchess of Cambridge wears DARING cleavage baring pink Marchesa gown and Queen’s diamonds

Kate, 35, wore a rose pink custom-made Marchesa gown for a state banquet held in honour of the King and Queen of Spain.

The dress was much more revealing than the Duchess normally chooses, and featured a deep v neckline which showed of a hint of her cleavage.

The dress was fitted to the waist and came out in a full skirt.

It also had sheer lace full-length sleeves to balance out the skin showing neckline.

In keeping with royal tradition, Kate wore a tiara for the state dinner.

The diamond and pearl Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara was a piece much loved by the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Kate first wore the tiara last year for another state dinner.

To complement her daring neckline, the Duchess wore an opulent necklace owned by the Queen.

The Ruby and Diamond Floral Bandeau, was a wedding gift from the Queen’s parents.

Bought by Margaret Greville, a close friend of her mother’s, from the jeweller Boucheron in 1907, it was given to the Queen Mother on Greville’s death in 1942.

The intricate piece is set in silver and gold, in an unusual V-shape and features several sizeable rubies.

The Queen had the necklace shortened by removing two small floral pieces from the sides – something she often does with necklaces so that they fit her slim shoulders.

The Queen wore the piece often during her youth, and was photographed in it at notable events such as the Royal Variety Performance in 1962.

Kate is known as a style icon around the world, and one person she inspires is her mother, Carole.

Carole wore a dress very similar to one owned by Kate as she stepped out at Wimbledon yesterday.

Kate’s dress cost £4,000 from Alexander McQueen, and Carole wore a blue version for her day at the tennis.
