Celebrity Big Brother only burst back onto screens a few days ago and the celebrity housemates are already making waves on the popular Channel 5 reality series.
Look Who’s Talking star Kirstie, 67, is the only American actress residing in the Borehamwood bungalow in this year’s edition, and as such she has plenty of stories to tell about her time in the industry.
But while the actress regaled her apt audience with tales of A-list royalty Robert De Niro and Tom Hanks, it was her next admission that resulted in the group bursting into hysterics.
Kirstie revealed she was left utterly stunned to come face-to-face with the next in-line to the throne during a visit to Courtney Love’s house.
In a clip for tonight’s episode of the show, the Cheers actress began: “Method actors can be brilliant, but they’re not brilliant to work with as far as humans you know.
“You’re lucky if you get someone who’s like a genius actor, and is someone like Tom Hanks.”
Hanging off her housemate’s every word, former Love Island contestant Gabby Allen chimed in: “They can’t switch it on and off yeah…”
Joining in the conversation, Hardeep Singh Kohli suddenly asked: “De Niro’s not very nice is he?”
Taken-aback, Kirstie said in reply: “I’ve met De Niro many times, he’s really nice.”
Seemingly rowing back from his blunt comments, Hardeep admitted he was glad because he thinks the Meet the Fockers star is a “brilliant” actor.
Hooked on their housemate’s celebrity encounters, Hardeep and Gabby proceeded to grill Kirstie over Oscar-winners Al Pacino and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Attempting to explain her thoughts on the Titanic superstar, Kirstie said: “You know a lot of times you meet actors briefly and… he was great, he was nice.”
Remembering one of her favourite moments, the actress continued: “I’m friends with Courtney Love, and one time we went for dinner and what’s his name, oh my god, Elton John was at dinner and there were only four of us.
“And then another time she asked me round to her house for snacks, and Prince Charles was there!”
Aware of the unbelievable nature of her tales, Kirstie burst into laughter as the rest of the group joined in with her.
“What?” Gabby asked incredulously, before the contestants moved on.
So far the series has seen Kirstie become President of the Big Brother house alongside her Vice President and Neighbours actor Ryan Thomas, 34.
Married at First Sight contestant Ben Jardine was told to have freezing cold showers until further notice, while fitness fanatic Dan Osborne was instructed by the duo to eat only liquefied green vegetables.
