How can anything take on the Mad Titan with all six Infinity Stones?
Well, Thor actually showed it can be done. His new Stormbreaker axe actually withstood the full blast of the Infinity Gauntlet and could have killed Thanos if only the proud and boastful Asgardian god had “gone for the head.”
Now Thanos is injured and the Gauntlet is seriously damaged, fans are hoping Tony will finally reveal and unleash a huge fan-favourite.
The device was first spotted in Infinity War and then again in the recent enigmatic Russo brothers’ tweet. Now a new clear image has leaked.
Is Iron Man, or more likely War Machine or even Hulk, about to wield the mighty Proton Canon?
The leak posted a clear photograph of the machine with the caption: “New Avengers 4 set photo gives us a closer look at what appears to be the Proton Canon.”
The incredible weapon has already been seen in use in the Marvel vs Capcom video game.
The massive metal contraption resembles a jet engine and it has also been suggested that it could be some sort of device to open or stabilise a gate to the Quantum Realm.
The device definitely looks more like some form of jet engine and was first shown in the background of the workshop at the Avengers headquarters when Rhodey was talking to Thunderbolt Ross just before Captain America, Black Widow and the others burst in.
It was then spotted on the far left of the cryptic tweet by the Russos with the tagline “Look hard.”
Surely that is no coincidence?
