Xbox One Backwards Compatibility UPDATE: Is Xbox One's BEST feature getting even better?

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility could make the transition to Windows 10 PC.

That’s according to  boss Phil Spencer, who told one Twitter follower that Microsoft hasn’t ruled it out.

However, fans probably shouldn’t get too excited, because Microsoft would have to overcome a few hurdles to make backwards compatibility a possibility on PC.

“Running BC reliably on all the different PC HW configs would be a lot more work than XB1, but never say never,” Spencer tweeted.

As for backwards compatibility support on Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft has confirmed that it will indeed be available on the high-spec Xbox One.

“The same 360 games that work on XB1 will work on Scorpio,” Spencer confirmed.

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility recently expanded with three games, including Xbox 360 versions of Stuntman: Ignition, Mad Tracks and JUJU.

That was preceded by the likes of TEKKEN 6, Midway Arcade Origins and Mutant Storm Empire.

According to the official Xbox One Backwards Compatibility voting site, Tekken 6 was the most popular of the bunch with 6,000 votes.

If you already own Backwards Compatibility titles, then they’ll automatically appear in your games and apps list. Alternatively, you can buy digital downloads from the Xbox One store and Xbox website.

As for Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft has given the console a holiday 2017 release date, and is expected to reveal more at E3 2017.

And fortunately, when the launch date does finally roll around.

Some  fans are concerned that the Scorpio would make the original console obsolete.

However, Xbox boss Phil Spencer told Twitter followers that both the Xbox One and Scorpio would be around for years to come.

“Xbox One and S will be supported consoles for many years,” he told one fan on Twitter.
