World's 'most expensive number plate' goes on sale for £15,000,000 – here's what it says

Demand for personalised registrations is at its peak in Britain, with the DVLA selling 374,968 private registrations last year.

This was an increase of 12 per cent over a 12 month period.

Now, what is believed to be the most expensive personalised number plate is set to go on sale.

Afzal Kahn, a British automotive designer once dubbed the ‘king of customisation’, is putting his prized ‘F1′ number plate up for sale.

Kahn purchased the “F1” registration plate for £440,000 in 2008, which set a UK record for the most expensive plate sold at auction.

However, the Kahn Design founder will be looking for considerably more than he paid for it.

It is listed for sale on Plates4Less at £12,250,270.83, which will increase to £14,700,405.00 once compulsory Government Charges are added.

Previously, Kahn was offered £6million for the plate, which currently resides on his Bugatti Veyron.
