The DC follow up to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad isn’t released until June, but fans are still wondering who will play the main antagonist.
Last month Ares, the Greek god of war, was confirmed as the villain during a Wonder Woman set visit.
However whoever plays him has been keep well underwraps, until possibly now.
Comicbook.com have noticed that DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and Wonder Woman director Patter Jenkins have suddenly decided to follow Arnie on Twitter.
What with the social media move appearing quite the coincidence and Ares being the kind of role the former Terminator would play, it looks like there could be more than meets the eye.
Assuming Arnie has been cast as Ares, this will be his second time playing a DC villain after portraying Mister Freeze in the ill-fated Batman & Robin.
The Wonder Woman set visit description, summarised the film’s plot with Ares right at the centre.
It said: ““Now, it turns out that this is precisely the goal of Ares, the god of war.
“He is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus.
“[Zeus]… was killed by Ares when he rebelled against his son, despite the help of the Amazons.”
Wonder Woman’s epic origin story will chart the superhero’s beginnings and adventures with Chris Pine’s WW1 pilot.
The superhero will next appear in Justice League with Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman this November.
Wonder Woman will be released in UK cinemas on June 2, 2016.
