Who is Chris Mason?
Chris was born in Liverpool, but now lives in Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old has racked up an impressive acting CV despite never formally training as an actor.
Chris says that one of his “biggest lessons” was watching his Legend co-stars Tom Hardy, Christopher Eccleston and Paul Bettany.
Chris played Ronnie Hart in the Kray twins biopic, which starred Hardy as both Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
“I never trained at drama school so for me I think that was one of the biggest lessons,” Chris told Liverpool Echo.
“Especially watching Tom Hardy, I was so lucky to go from doing that to my first lead role [in Between Two Worlds] because I took on board what he was like on set and how he handled himself, and how he cared for the script.”
What has Chris Mason been in?
Chris’ acting debut was in British legal drama Justice, in which he played a drug pusher named Peter.
His next role was in the BBC Three supernatural drama The Fades, which he followed with stints in ITV’s Lightfields and US fashion drama Model Woman – which was never ordered to series.
After Legend, Chris won the lead role in Between Two Worlds, a British film which also starred Lucien Laviscount and rapper Example.
The film was shot in Chris’ native Liverpool. He called the part a “gift”, explaining: “It’s a young Scouser who moves to London and finds it tough.
“I know what it feels like to go back to Liverpool, when you go home and step off at Lime Street and you see the Liver Birds in the distance – it’s a lovely city to come back to.”
Chris has also starred in films such as Vampire Academy and Break opposite the late Sir John Hurt.
In 2016 Chris played the lead role in Wonderkid, a short film about the inner turmoil of a young gay football player.
The film won praise from LGBTQ charity Stonewall and gay magazine Attitude, with Chris calling the short “important”.
Does Chris Mason have a girlfriend?
Chris is engaged to marry skincare consultant Spencer Locke.
The pair have reportedly been an item since 2015, and got engaged in 2016.
Chris and Spencer reportedly plan to marry later this year, and regularly share pictures of their lives on Instagram.
