The 47-year-old braved a virtual reality headset, which simulates sliding down the monumental London tower after footage of a particularly terrified participant went viral.
After delivering his daily showbiz report live from the notoriously tall building, Richard hurled his dignity out of the window and put on his head gear.
Yelling non-stop for minutes, Richard clung on for dear life, and Good Morning Britain viewers were in absolute hysterics.
“Omg! I am so sorry but seeing @RichardAArnold on @TheShardLondon VR ride is just awesome brilliant! @GMB lets stick #jeremykyle on it too,” chuckled one hysterical audience member, as another giggled: “@GMB thank you sooo much you have really made my day…. that was sooooo funny haven’t laughed like that in ages. Richard you’re a legend.”
A third wailed: “@RichardAArnold @GMB I know I shouldn’t laugh but oh Richard!! What are they doing to you! Thank you for awesome belly laugh!”
“Funniest thing ever laughing hysterically @RichardAArnold @GMB he made my morning,” laughed one joker, while this particularly impressed fan cried: “@RichardAArnold @kategarraway @gmb that’s the best TV I’ve seen in ages sooo funny well done Richard, I hate heights too!”
During Richard’s anguish, Kate Garraway, 50, teased Jeremy Kyle, 52, her Good Morning Britain co-host for the week, after he started mocking the showbiz reporter.
“It could have been worse,” she grinned. “It could have been pictures of you naked.”
The amusement came after Jeremy was slammed by viewers, after they noticed his very unusual habit.
The controversial chat show host’s addition to the GMB line-up has divided audiences, especially after he claimed the Brexit-backing Brits didn’t know what they’re voting for.
