WATCH: Dramatic footage of Seabourn Encore cruise ship CRASH

The giant cruise ship went rogue in New Zealand after coming loose from its moorings.

Seabourn Encore drifted away from the shoreline and headed straight for a much smaller vessel.

The luxury liner smashed into the Milburn Carrier II, a boat that was sitting nearby.

A witness at the port of Timaru captured the terrifying event on her phone.

She could be heard in the video saying: “Oh, this is not good.

The onlooker then said: “I can’t stop shaking… he’s going to hit that Milburn, oh my God!

“Look at these guys running on the ship!”

There were more than 600 passengers and crew on board at the time of the crash last week, but luckily no one was injured.

Harbour master Jim Dilley told Radio New Zealand: “There were mooring issues with the ship and a strong southerly wind blew it away from the wharf.”

The ship is travelling around Australia and New Zealand for a two-month stint.

Seabourn Encore is due to return to Europe in May.

The liner is the largest of Seabourn’s fleet and has the capacity to hold a third more passengers based on double occupancy.

Seabourn operates across the globe, from short seven-day Caribbean cruises to exotic trips around the world that last over 100 days.
