WATCH: Debbie McGee do the Tango on Strictly Come Dancing and get perfect score

The 59-year-old was left startled after she got 10s all round from the judging panel for her incredible Tango with professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

They performed the fierce Latin dance to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas, getting rave reviews from the judges for the routine.

As well as breaking a record on the BBC series with her score, Debbie also got a first from tough judge Craig Revel Horwood after he got up from the judging panel to kneel down before her and bow in worship.

As he walked back to the panel and resume his place on the panel, the 52-year-old just was heard muttering “amazing”.

Debbie and Giovanni, 27, were left shocked by Craig’s unusual behaviour as were the rest of the judges.

Giovanni asked: “Craig, is that still you?” before being hugged by the Strictly judge.

Host Tess Daly was stunned as she told Debbie: “That is an absolute first. We’re speechless – literally. Craig has just worshipped Debbie McGee everyone.”

“Well, that was strange, wasn’t it?” Darcey, 48, told them as she burst out laughing and began her assessment of the Tango.

But once she composed herself, she told them: “Straight to the point, you gave me tingles down my back. That was extraordinary. You are on par with your professional. I don’t think I’ve ever see a Tango like that from a celebrity. Amazing.”

Shirley, 57, also praised the widow of Paul Daniels, telling her: “Debbie McGee, that was a beautiful international Tango.

“You had fast feet, you had soft legs and guess what – you had no rise and fall. So for me it was outstanding. Every week you’re just flying high and that was just unbelievable.

“Just congratulations, that’s one of the most difficult dances to do and you just executed with first class.”

Bookmakers have now slashed Debbie’s odds to lift the Glitterball Trophy from 7-2 to 2-1 and she’s now the frontrunner in the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One tomorrow at 7.15pm.
