The first two episodes of Vikings season six saw Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) settling into life as king. Meanwhile, Ivar The Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) who fled Kattegat in the season five finale, is making connections all the way in Kiev, Russia. However, Prince Oleg (Danila Kozlovsky) doesn’t seem to have the best influence over Ivar.
After travelling through the ice and snow, the exiled warrior finds himself at the mercy of newcomer Prince Oleg.
Their newfound friendship is certainly set to be a complicated one if the trailer is anything to go by.
Both Ivar and the Prince are both as ruthless as each other, and this became clear when the two began to talk.
To the horror of fans, one scene even sees the pair bond over murdering their wives.

Fans will remember the season five scene that saw Ivar strangle Freydis (Alicia Agneson) after she betrayed him, siding with Bjorn in the siege of Kattegat.
Viewers were reminded of the character’s ruthlessness as he appeared to meet his Russian alter ego.

“It’s about time you said you were sorry, Ivar. #Vikings6”, added a second.
One fan tweeted: “Yeah I like the Rus king. He’s intelligent, passionate, and he scares Ivar. Which it is about time someone did.”
Moreover, it seems Ivar could be set to undergo a huge transformation this season.
In an interview with gamespot, creator Michael Hirst began: “When I first introduced Ivar into the show, I knew that he was going to do bad things.
“I mean, historically, he did bad things. But it was in the context of his clinical condition, his brittle bone disease.”
“Even with the idea of Ivar lashing out and doing bad things, I never lost total sympathy for him because I understood his condition. I understood his psychology.”
He explained: “When he took over Kattegat, it was that other side the thing that got control – the bad side, the dark side.
“I kind of wanted to pull him out of there and to show him again, as someone who you could have sympathy with. To show him in a much more decent life.”
