Veronica on Netflix: Spot the huge BLUNDER after viewer watches ‘scariest horror ever’

Touted by some as the “scariest movie of all time”, Veronica is a Spanish-language horror that has been making waves on the streaming service since its release last month.

Based loosely on a true story from Madrid in the 1990s, it follows a young girl who uses a Ouija board – and the terrifying supernatural events that unfold afterwards.

So it’s a little strange, then, that one very different movie popped up in Netflix’s “Because you watched Veronica” carousel after one user watched it.

Yes – it seems Finding Dory, the cutesy Disney Pixar family comedy, is in the same vague wheelhouse as Veronica.

“After watching the horror movie Veronica, Netflix had a few suggestions…,” read the caption on the picture.

“Lol I’d say Finding dory. It’s super scary and dark,” quipped one person in response.

Who knew the adorable Ellen DeGeneres-voiced fish had so much in common with the notion of contacting the deceased?

No English dub or version of Veronica currently exists, but it remains to be seen whether Hollywood will be tempted to recreate Paco Plaza’s magic.

The movie has had surprisingly mixed reviews, despite initially scoring a very high Rotten Tomatoes score upon its domestic release.

Veronica is streaming on Netflix now.
