The legendary crooner, 90, has been advised not to travel or perform for “the next few days”, his publicist said.
According to Page Six, his health wobble can put down to a bout of mild flu.
He was scheduled to perform at Sands Bethlehem Event Centre tonight, but yesterday it was announced that it has been postponed.
“On behalf of Tony Bennett, we want to express his appreciation to all his fans in the area who purchased tickets for the concert,” the venue said.
Another show – slated for Caesars Atlantic City – has also been called off tomorrow night, while last night’s performance at Maine’s Merrill Auditorium in Portland was postponed as well.
Bennett’s career has spanned 65 years and won him 19 Grammy Awards.
Born and raised in Astoria to an Italian-American family in 1926, he had his first number one popular song with Because of You in 1951 after fighting in the final stages of World War II.
He has sold over 50 million records worldwide and won a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2001.
He notably collaborated with Lady Gaga recently on their joint album Cheek To Cheek, which hit No1 in the US and No10 in the UK.
His most recent record – The Silver Lining: The Songs of Jerome Kern – came out in 2015; a team-up with Bill Charlap.
