Tommy Fury: Love Island heartthrob drops recoupling bombshell

Maura Higgins sashayed into the Love Island villa with her sights set on the boxer and he’s reciprocated her attention.

However, he’s currently coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague and there’s been a frosty atmosphere in the house as the trio are caught in a love triangle.

Tonight, there will be a recoupling on the island and Tommy has already admitted he may not be sticking with Molly-Mae.

Friday’s instalment of the ITV2 programme saw Tommy torn between the two girls, and he admitted the “tables had turned”.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Tommy confessed: “So basically, it is what it is.

“It’s a hard decision to make, because basically Molly-Mae and I have a really good connection, there’s no disputing that.

“But now, tables have turned. My head’s in bits.”

With a recoupling looming tonight it looks like Molly-Mae is at risk of becoming single as Tommy is struggling to make up his mind.

Tension looks to increase in the villa as viewers will see the girls take on a Bridezilla challenge that leads to Maura and Tommy locking lips in this evening’s instalment.

The girls have to pull their boy up the aisle on a sledge before sharing a kiss at the end.

However, because Maura, Elma Pazar and Anna Vakili aren’t in a couple they get to pick their boy, and of course Maura plumps for Tommy.

The pair end up smooching but Molly-Mae is unimpressed as she watches on the sidelines.

Later on, Elma receives a text about the recoupling which says: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with. #nomoreshapes #girlproblems #standbyyourman.”

Maura, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury all turn to the Beach Hut to share how they’re feeling about the situation.

“Obviously, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive,” Molly-Mae reveals. “I just want to get tonight over and done with. I just want to know what Tommy is going to do.”

Meanwhile, Maura says she’s not sure how it’s going to go either.

“I don’t know what that man [Tommy] is thinking. He’s very hard to read,” the ring girl admits.

Tommy reflects on the complexity of the situation as he says: “It doesn’t get more fifty-fifty than this.

“It’s crazy because Maura and Molly-Mae are both beautiful girls but I’m sure my final decision will be the right one.”

But who will he choose when it comes down to the recoupling?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
