Tin Star season 2 Release date news: Will Tim Roth be back? Latest cast updates revealed

When will Tin Star season 2 start? 

The next season of Tin Star was confirmed by Sky Atlantic before the  drama had even made it on to air. 

“When Tin Star launches this week, Sky Atlantic viewers will not only experience a hugely powerful tale of revenge with captivating, uncompromising characters, but will be left in no doubt as to why a second series was an absolute must,” said Anne Mensah, head of drama at Sky.

Tin Star creator Rowan Joffe and executive producer Alison Jackson added: “Rowan and I are thrilled to have another opportunity to delve deeper into the world we have all started to create – there is so much more to reveal about our fantastically complex array of characters.”

While a release date hasn’t been announced, with Sky clearly keen to get the ball rolling, it’s likely to return in 2018 at a similar time to season one, which was September 2017.

How many episodes will be in Tin Star season 2? 

Tin Star season one kicked off with 10 episodes and it will presumably follow suit in season two. 

Will Tim Roth return to season two? 

After the nail-biting cliff-hanger form season one, which saw Tim Roth’s rouge police chief Jim Worth appeared to have been shot down by Whitey Brown. 

Whitey somehow managed to seduce Jim’s daughter Anna, despite confessing that a he killed her five-year-old brother Peter – the catalyst of the family’s turmoil. 

The pair fled Little Big Bear to find refuge in alone cabin in the rockies, until Jim, who retorted to his violent alter-ego Jack Devlin, and his wife Angela, arrived to salvage his daughter and murder his son’s killer. 

Following a headed stand-off, Jim put two bullets in Whitey’s chest, before the season one finale closed with a barrel pointing right at the sheriff, 

While fans wait to see if Jim survived, it’s almsot certain he’ll be leading Tin Star once again in season two. 

Tin Star season 2 is expected to arrive on Sky Atlantic in 2018.
