This Morning: Holly Willoughby text Piers Morgan asking THIS after Donald Trump interview

Holly Willoughby revealed she text Piers Morgan last night after his interview with the President of the United States aired on ITV at 10pm.

The 36-year-old blonde was having a chat with Good Morning Britain star Piers on This Morning today about his interview with his old friend POTUS.

She said: “I text you last night – I thought it was a very open interview – but I was like, ‘what stuff was off limits then?’”

Piers quickly said “nothing”. He explained there was no subject that was banned during his interview with Donald Trump

He replied: “Nothing. [Trump] didn’t ask me for anything – what I was going to ask him.

”I’ve interviewed him many times and there is a trust there. He is someone I consider to be a friend of 10 years.

“I wasn’t going to stamp on his head and bring a club out, as some people wanted me to.”

Piers explained he believed the interview showed a balance between “being firm with the Britain First retweets – and then a bit of lighter stuff”.

The journalist also said he did have a conversation with Donald about his views on gun laws and control in America.

He said: “His people began to wind up. You have to do those deals with yourself in real time. I got enough from him about guns.

“He is a gun lover propped up by the NRA. I felt we’d taken that debate as far as we could go with him.”

Holly quizzed Piers, who is famously friends with POTUS: “Did you notice a change in him?”

Piers said: “He’s not changed a bit. He can be charming and very funny. We saw glimpses of that last night.”

Holly and Phil were clearly very interested in how Piers and Trump’s friendship worked now the latter had been made the President of the US.

“Do you DM him?” Phil asked. Piers revealed he speaks to his old friend via his press secretary.

The Good Morning Britain journalist said: “[Trump] walked in the room and the first thing he said was ‘Man, I’ve missed you’.

“I do like him, I find him very frustrating. He reacts very badly to being poked and attacked – and he’s constantly being poked and attacked by the media.

“I wanted to give a slightly more rounded view of him. He’s an incredibly loyal guy – one of the few who called me when I came home.”

It comes after Judi James, a body language expert, analysed Donald Trump’s body language during his interview with Piers Morgan last night.

Interestingly she picked up on the President’s steepled fingers tapping together in a metronomic gesture – but what did it mean?
