THIS airline offers the MOST legroom to economy passengers

With many airlines shrinking seat sizes and pushing seats closer together just to squeeze in more, it can make travelling in economy rather uncomfortable.

Especially if you are over 6ft tall and your knees are knocking against the seat in front of you.

But there are some airlines that still do offer that much needed extra space.

According to seatguru.com data, here are the airlines which offer the most legroom.

British Airways tops the list for most legroom on short-haul flights.

There aircrafts currently offer between 29 to 34 inches of space for your legs.

However, the flagship carrier recently announced that from 2018, its will be reducing the legroom on its Airbus aircrafts used on short-haul flights to 29 to 33 inches.

Other types of planes in BA’s fleet for economy passengers will remain the same.

Also near the top of the list were Air France, Lufthansa and Swiss airlines, who all offer up to 32 inches of legroom.

While EasyJet offers passengers in economy just 29 inches of legroom.

In long-haul, airlines have also been reducing their legroom spaces to fit in extra seats.

Particularly those flying with BA, Emirates, Etihad and Air France on their Boeing 777s, will find their seats have been reduced by an inch in width.

But if you after a comfy long-haul flight with ample room, then the airline to go with is West Jet.

The Canadian carrier offers passengers in economy up to 38 inches of legroom space.

Air Canada, Delta and KLM are also very roomy, offering up to 35 inches of space.

At the bottom of the list is British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Thomas Cook, who only give passengers around 31 inches of legroom space.
