The highly anticipated second season of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel is due for release next month. Episode one will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 5. Rachel Brosnahan returns as Midge Maisel fresh from cleaning up at this year’s Emmy Awards.
Who is in the cast of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel season 2?

Midge Maisel – Rachel Brosnahan
Rachel Brosnahan returns to the titular role for season two.
The second season sees her career start to blossom when she and her manager Susie (played by Alex Borstein) go and tour resorts in Upstate New York.
Speaking to reporters including Express.co.uk in London last month, Brosnahan said returning to season two was like coming home.
“It’s always nice to come back having spent an entire season, a whole six months intimately learning the ins and outs of the character,” she said.
“I can speak for all of us when I say it was like coming back home.”
She added: “It was like putting on a comfortable sweater, to step back into these characters
as you can imagine, Midge learns a great deal more about stand up in season two and I’ve always felt like we get to learn about that world together.
“It’s not a world that I’m personally familiar with or was before this show and the same is true for Midge.
“The world is getting bigger and I feel like a lot of growth happened for both me and Midge throughout the season.”
Susie Myerson – Alex Borstein
Alex Borstein returns as Midge’s manager Susie Myerson for season two.
Susie will mostly be on the road with Midge in season two after she leaves her job at the Gaslight cafe to be a manager full-time.
Joel Maisel – Alex Zegen
Alex Zegen returns as Midge’s estranged husband Joel for season two.
The two reunited in the season one finale leading Midge to introduce herself as Mrs Maisel on stage for the first time.
So it looks like Joel could be in for something of a redemption arc in the upcoming out.
Speaking about the role, Zegen said: “Despite the fact that we all loved the script I personally had no idea how big the show would be.
“Like the scope, and how much money was in the show cos it’s big and season two gets even bigger.
“So that was a pleasant surprise.”
Rose Weissman – Marin Hinkle
Marin Hinkle returns as Midge’s mother Rose for season two.
Midge’s parents were not happy when she and Joel separated so they will no doubt be pushing for a reunion in season two.
Speaking about the upcoming series, Hinkle said that Rose is a “dream to play”.
Other major cast members include Tony Shalhoub as Midge’s father Abe and Bailey De Young as Imogen Cleary, Midges best friend.
