The Dirt on Netflix release date, cast, trailer: How to watch Mötley Crüe biopic online

The Dirt is already being touted as the next Bohemian Rhapsody. The biographical musical comedy-drama film was directed by Jeff Tremaine from a screenplay by Rich Wilkes. Netflix‘s new musical biopic is based on Mötley Crüe’s collaborative autobiography.

When is The Dirt out on Netflix?

The Dirt was released globally on Netflix on Friday, March 22, 2019, and is available to stream now.

But The Dirt has been languishing in development hell since 2006.

Film rights were first bought by Paramount and MTV before being dropped, then by Focus Features, and then dropped again.

Finally, Netflix bought the rights in 2017 and filming began in February 2018 in New Orleans.
