Good Trouble Video: The Fosters Fam Returns for a Going-Away Party — Plus, You’ll Never Guess Who Else Is Back! https://briefnews.eu/good-trouble-video-the-fosters-fam-returns-for-a-going-away-party-plus-youll-never-guess-who-else-is-back/ https://briefnews.eu/good-trouble-video-the-fosters-fam-returns-for-a-going-away-party-plus-youll-never-guess-who-else-is-back/#respond Tue, 16 Feb 2021 20:12:39 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/good-trouble-video-the-fosters-fam-returns-for-a-going-away-party-plus-youll-never-guess-who-else-is-back/

Talk about a blast from the Fosters past! Most of Callie and Mariana’s family will, once again, return to the spinoff Good Trouble in Season 3. But there’s also another familiar face making a shocking appearance in TVLine’s exclusive promo (spoiler alert!): Jude’s friend-turned-love interest Connor (played by Gavin MacIntosh)!

“The episode is Brandon and Eliza’s going-away party,” ahead of their move to Amsterdam, executive producer Joanna Johnson previews. Eliza’s parents, Jim (Robert Gant) and Diane (Susan Walters), are hosting the themed shindig, which features “a lot of fun surprises.” You don’t say! In the following video, Brandon and Eliza have a bombshell that they’re planning to drop at the very last minute. The biggest gasp, however, comes courtesy of Connor, who was last seen during a Season 3 installment of The Fosters in 2016.

Viewers can also expect “a lot of humor, because we always love to have fun with our Foster family,” Johnson adds. And Stef’s reaction to her required party attire is definitely guaranteed to make you chuckle.

Elsewhere, there’s some definite tension between Callie and her (ex?) beau Jamie as the two navigate the latest woes in their relationship. (Get more scoop on that here.)

Good Trouble Season 3 premieres this Wednesday at 10/9c on Freeform; the eventful Fosters reunion takes place in Episode 4. Press PLAY below to watch the promo, then hit the comments with your thoughts on the unexpected comeback!

Let’s block ads! (Why?)

Search Party Bosses on That Wild Season 4 Finale: ‘We Discussed More Endings Than You’ll Ever Imagine’ https://briefnews.eu/search-party-bosses-on-that-wild-season-4-finale-we-discussed-more-endings-than-youll-ever-imagine/ https://briefnews.eu/search-party-bosses-on-that-wild-season-4-finale-we-discussed-more-endings-than-youll-ever-imagine/#respond Thu, 28 Jan 2021 22:19:24 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/search-party-bosses-on-that-wild-season-4-finale-we-discussed-more-endings-than-youll-ever-imagine/

It’s been a rough season for Dory Sief. After her hellish experience of being abducted, drugged and tortured throughout, Search Party‘s finale once again found a way to turn her world completely upside down.

The season’s last four episodes hit HBO Max Thursday, delivering even more psychological trauma and identity crises than any one person should ever have to endure. But in the final installment — MAJOR Spoiler Alert here! If you aren’t fully caught up, you know what to do — we followed Drew, Elliott and Portia as they spoke at Dory’s funeral (!) and grieved for their friend who perished in the fire set by Chip’s Aunt Lylah (oh, hey, Susan Sarandon!). And for the entire episode, Dory was dead… until she woke up screaming in the back of an ambulance, lungs filled with smoke and ash darkening her face.

Naturally, we had a lot of questions for co-creators/EPs Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss, who talked to TVLine about that twisty (and twisted!) ending; Portia, Drew and Elliott’s grief; and what a potential Season 5 could look like.

TVLINE | That finale! Did you always plan to have a pump-fake of an ending, in terms of Dory actually being alive? Did you discuss any other endings?
ROGERS |
We discussed more endings than you’ll ever imagine. We’re really excited about what the ending we arrived at says. The one thing that kept coming up when we were trying to figure out where we wanted Season 4 to go was the idea of a near-death experience. Dory had done so much to her own brain and so much had been done to her brain by the time Season 4 was over that we really liked the idea of taking it all the way to: She’s dead. Lo and behold, by the end, you realize it was a temporary experience.
BLISS | …But we wanted to really sell it, so it felt real.

TVLINE | Oh, I bought it hook, line and sinker! What can you tell us about the multiple Dorys we saw at the funeral and again at the very end?
ROGERS | In this near-death experience, we were able to speak to the idea that Dory has been either integrating or denying different aspects of herself throughout this season. Some of that is intentional and some were ideas we found along the way as we were writing each season. Looking back, it felt like a safe creative thing to say, in terms of how she’s evolved. She was able to collect all of herself in this death experience.
BLISS | This whole season, there’s a lot of themes about identity. Portia plays Dory [in a movie], and Chip dresses up as Lylah, Dory turns into Stephanie when she’s brainwashed… every character is playing with their identity. We’re playing with this idea that you can have these fractured versions of yourself and you can sort of shift who you are based on what you want the world to see you as at any given time. Throughout the season, she’s had to see herself in a certain light, and that was coming together in that final scene.

TVLINE | I’m always torn on how I should feel about Portia, Drew and Elliott. Should I pity them? Do I feel for them? Do they deserve everything that’s happened? Or maybe none of that matters because ultimately, it was all in Dory’s head. What’s the takeaway there?
ROGERS |
The idea we were drawn to in portraying this funeral was that this is truly how it would go. So in some strange way, what Dory saw — and of course this isn’t explicit in the show at all, but so far as we understand it — what Dory saw as her own funeral isn’t necessarily through the lens of Dory. We added scenes where the friends are not with Dory, they’re on their own… when they get the box from Chip and stuff like that. There are elements that are supposed to feel objective in showing the friends’ experience. Your takeaway for how you experience them is however you experience it, of course. We liked the idea that you’re seeing how they actually would feel and act at her funeral.

TVLINE | So Dory wakes up in an ambulance and is all, “I was dead! I saw everything!” What can we expect from Dory going forward? How will she deal with this trauma? [Editor’s note: Search Party is not yet renewed.]BLISS | We hope we get a Season 5!
ROGERS | We like that there’s a conclusive energy about Season 4 that, as an ending, exists on its own. If the story was to continue, there’s definitely something to find meaning in about what it would be like to be on the other side of having died.

TVLINE | If the renewals keep coming, how far do you plan on taking these characters?
ROGERS |
I think it’s safe to say that the show has gotten more and more extreme, but we don’t want to write it past its welcome. Whether that means Season 4’s the ending or it continues, we want to make sure we always have something smart to say about these characters.

Piers Morgan humiliated by Jeremy Clarkson moments into WWTBAM: ‘You’ll never make it!’ https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-humiliated-by-jeremy-clarkson-moments-into-wwtbam-youll-never-make-it/ https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-humiliated-by-jeremy-clarkson-moments-into-wwtbam-youll-never-make-it/#respond Sun, 27 Dec 2020 14:02:54 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-humiliated-by-jeremy-clarkson-moments-into-wwtbam-youll-never-make-it/

Piers Morgan, 55, was the first of two celebrities who took part in the festive special of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Host Jeremy Clarkson, 60, welcomed him to the stage and took swipes at the Good Morning Britain star as the pair joked about their rivalry. The journalist was playing for his chosen charity and he was hoping to win a good amount of cash to donate, though the ITV quiz show presenter humiliated the broadcaster when he said he wouldn’t scoop £1million.

Introducing the journalist, the host said made a jibe about Piers, saying: “The next contestant is someone with whom I have had a few disagreements over the years.

“Come on, it’s Christmas so let’s put all that behind us and play nicely as we welcome the simply awful human being, Piers Morgan,” he joked.

When the player then entered the studio, Jeremy told his guest: “I’m just reading what it said on the autocue.

“It did not say that on the autocue,” the broadcaster hit back as he laughed nervously to which the quizmaster replied: “It did say that on the autocue.

“You should have seen what I wrote, it was way worse,” the former Top Gear star remarked before going on to inform viewers of who the player was.

Refereeing to his job, the game show master said: “You’re a daytime television host,” but his colleague disagreed.

“I’m a breakfast TV star, yes,” the journalist declared as he tried to put the former Top Gear star in his place.

“Um, daytime,” the host replied, then going on to inform the broadcaster of how proceedings were going to play out.

“I need to talk you through the rules because you’re usually in bed when this show is on,” the quiz show presenter said.

The quiz show presenter asked the journalist: “Which of these world champion racing drivers has not been a teammate of Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1?”

There were four options for Piers to chose from, which included Kimi Räikkönen, Nico Rosberg, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.

Unsure as to the correct answer and having used his lifelines, the broadcaster went for the latter as he made a complete guess.

Unfortunately, Kimi Räikkönen was the correct answer and this meant the Good Morning Britain star had to leave the table.

Before he did, Jeremy told the outspoken journalist: “You’ve humiliated yourself. And you’ve cost yourself £15,000.

“But actually very nobly, credit where credit is due, you’re going to make up the difference. I’m trying to think of a positive.

“You did make it to £4,000 all on your own, then everybody else helped you the rest of the way. You were brave to come on and I was brave to have you.

“We’ve embodied the Christmas spirit,” the host continued before showing Piers the way out of the studio.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is available to stream on the ITV Hub.

David Boreanaz on SEAL Team Finale’s Final Scene: You’ll Be ‘Very Surprised’ by What Follows in Season 4 Premiere https://briefnews.eu/david-boreanaz-on-seal-team-finales-final-scene-youll-be-very-surprised-by-what-follows-in-season-4-premiere/ https://briefnews.eu/david-boreanaz-on-seal-team-finales-final-scene-youll-be-very-surprised-by-what-follows-in-season-4-premiere/#respond Thu, 07 May 2020 05:13:45 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/david-boreanaz-on-seal-team-finales-final-scene-youll-be-very-surprised-by-what-follows-in-season-4-premiere/

SEAL Team‘s makeshift Season 3 finale found Bravo braving some very close calls while operating without its leader, then closed with an encounter that portends to have a surprising outcome.

The first stretch of Wednesday night’s episode saw Jason serving as Mandy’s admittedly overqualified security detail as she paid a condolence call to the widow of the local vendor, Samin, who served as an informant — and was murdered for said alliance. “I think Jason had to take care of what he needed to take care of,” series lead David Boreanaz tells TVLine of Bravo 1’s decision to escort Mandy into town. “The two of us have hinted that they have somewhat been involved in the past, and while we don’t know really what happened, they just have this strong connection.”

That said, Jason was disappointed to discover, upon returning to camp, that Ray had been dispatched with the rest of the team on a time-sensitive operation that could give them a bead on new HVT Asim al-Hazred’s location. “He was concerned, knowing that they were still out there,” Boreanaz says of Jason’s initial reaction. “He wanted to try to control that and get back out there [to help], but he couldn’t.”

Luckily, Ray, Sonny (fancying himself a bit of a bomb defuser), Clay et al were ultimately able to get close enough to their target that Davis could track the courier’s future movements, which promise to lead them to al-Hazred. And while seeing the team succeed under Ray’s command could have nudged Jason to believe, as Lindell would want him, that Bravo can do fine without him — and possible steer him into a funk of accepted mortality — instead we saw Jason celebrate everything that they have overcome and accomplished.

That warm group huzzah, Boreanaz says, illustrates that Jason “is a lifer, man, and it’s what he loves to do. You can’t put him behind a desk, you can’t put him in charge of something that he doesn’t want to be doing. He’s a pure instinct guy, and he likes to be with his brothers on the field, leading them. That’s his M.O., and we’ll find out how that unfolds in, especially, what would’ve been [Episode] 22” — aka the planned season finale that hadn’t completed filming at the time the coronavirus pandemic shut down the entertainment industry.

Coming off of Bravo Team’s close call … knowing that Clay is going STA-21, and hearing Ray talk about how he could never be Bravo 1… and coupled with the less-than-warm welcome that Mandy got from Samin’s widow, the ersatz finale ended with Jason knock-knock-knocking on Mandy’s trailer door. Without saying barely a word (aside from Mandy’s “You OK?”) and after three full seasons, the two gravitated toward and pulled each other into a heated, hungry embrace.

“Like I said, they have a connection, and they understand each other,” Boreanaz says of the hook-up. “They both operate in a world that is all about getting what they need to get done and where the odds against that are extremely high. There’s always a bullet for somebody.”

As for what “the morning after” might look like for the like-minded colleagues…. “I think that people will be very surprised by what may happen in the next episode,” hints Boreanaz, who was in the midst of directing Episode 21 when production shut down. “I’ll tease that.”

SEAL Team viewers can rest assured that they will get answers, about the above and so much more, now that the CBS drama has been renewed for Season 4.

The drama played out as the host said: “Also coming up, we’re meeting the stars and creators of the West End hit play, Magic Goes Wrong.”

“Good morning guys,” Holly said, with the camera panning to the guests before one of them forcefully dropped a cup on the table.

However in doing so, they smashed through the glass top and it’s fair to say, the hosts were shocked by what had happened.

“Does that follow you everywhere you go? Does everything go wrong?” Phillip asked, to which the trio apologised.

This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby welcomed the actor onto the show today to chat about what’s next for Succession and his career. But as the interview came to an end, Brian addressed Phillip praising him for coming out to the public.

After their interview with Brian came to an end, the actor reached out to Phillip before he could move onto the next segment.

“And by the way, well done,” he said.

Phillip seemed visibly moved by Brian’s remark as he replied: “Oh, thank you Brian.”

“Really, really well done,” Brian continued. “I was really proud of what you did.

“I thought that was a remarkable thing. And, really, that’s something.”

“I’ve had to deal with this in my head for quite some time and so we’ve gone through this together.”

He added: “We’ve been honest and we’ve been open and Steph, as I’ve said, I can’t write in any statement what I feel about that woman.

“She is amazing. She is incredible. I never, in my life, there is no one in my life who would have supported me the way, as a wife, she has supported me. She’s astonishing, literally astonishing.”

Holly was on hand to support her friend with Phillip revealing how she had been so “kind and wise” to him as he thought about revealing his sexuality.

“My friends are the best, especially Holly, who has been so kind and wise – and who has hugged me as I sobbed on her shoulder,” he said.

At the end of the chat, Phillip added: “I couldn’t have done it if it hadn’t been you.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.

Someone then pushes Graham to the ground and when he looks up, there is an unidentifiable hooded figure standing over him.

But who is it?

It can be presumed, Charity isn’t the murder judging by his lack of care and response when he sees her, that could also apply to Jamie.

However, when Andrea was noticed, his body language changed and he started to run, the same with Marlon, Al and Jai.

Does this mean the almighty Kim Tate could be innocent once and for all?

Google Maps Street View: Unusual security breach spotted – you’ll never guess who’s guilty https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-unusual-security-breach-spotted-youll-never-guess-whos-guilty/ https://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-unusual-security-breach-spotted-youll-never-guess-whos-guilty/#respond Sun, 27 Jan 2019 15:50:54 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/google-maps-street-view-unusual-security-breach-spotted-youll-never-guess-whos-guilty/

Google Maps Street View has photographed an incredibly odd image in Australia. It appears to show a security breach underway – but the perpetrators are not what one would expect. The snap, taken on the Canberra Centenary Trail, shows an outpost for emergency services. The small building comes with the sign “ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Emergency Services Agency” and then added underneath: “Unauthorised access prohibited.

“Warning” signs in red can also be seen on a door into the Agency’s building.

However, some travellers to the area are showing a blatant disregard for the regulations.

They are brazenly flouting the rules by standing on the steps of the outpost as well as on top of a large container.

These intruders are not human, however – rather a herd of white and brown goats.

The placements of the animals under the “unauthorised access” sign adds perfectly to the comedy of the photo.

A selection of slightly less brave goats can be seen behind the building – clearly not as bold as their two comrades.

This is far from the first time animals have been caught in hilarious situations by Google Maps.

One on occasion, Street View captured an idyllic image of a cow grazing on some grass by the River Cam in Cambridge, UK.

At first glance, there is nothing out of the ordinary about the bovine animal as it feeds.

However, on closer inspection, a viewer can spot that the cow’s face has been blurred out.

This is the same privacy measure Google always takes with human faces, vehicle registration numbers and house numbers.

So why has Google decided to blur this cow’s face out? Did they intend to protect its privacy or was it a simple technological error?

Google showed a sense of humour when responding to queries about the mysterious cow.

A spokesman for Google told The Telegraph: “We thought you were pulling the udder one when we herd the moos, but it’s clear that our automatic face-blurring technology has been a little overzealous.

“Of course, we don’t begrudge this cow milking its five minutes of fame.”

Another Google photo from Rome, Italy captured a cat in a very funny close up.

This Is Probably the Only Top 25 Movies of 2018 Video You’ll Need https://briefnews.eu/this-is-probably-the-only-top-25-movies-of-2018-video-youll-need/ https://briefnews.eu/this-is-probably-the-only-top-25-movies-of-2018-video-youll-need/#respond Tue, 04 Dec 2018 14:00:26 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/this-is-probably-the-only-top-25-movies-of-2018-video-youll-need/ Best Movies of 2018

We’re coming up on the end of year and that means film critic David Ehrlich has put together another video to countdown what he deems as the Top 25 Movies of 2018. We’ve been following his carefully edited videos for a few years now, and while Ehrlich’s taste may not be for everyone, we simply can’t deny that he meticulously puts together these year-end videos with a passion for cinema and a love for storytelling. So which movies made the cut this year? Find out below.

David Ehrlich’s Best Movies of 2018

What’s great about watching this video is that it focuses on some of the most beautiful and significant moments from these movies that stuck with Ehrlich and resulted in their landing on this list. In fact, if you’d like to know a little more about how this list came together and why these movies were the best according to Ehrlich, he has a full write-up over at IndieWire that provides some more details and impressions.

My taste consistently differs from David Ehrlich, who often finds himself attracted to arthouse cinema and foreign film fare. And while I’ve found myself to love plenty of the movies he does at the end of a given year, I also find myself discovering a few titles that fell under my radar over the year. If anything, maybe you’ll seek out some of these movies and broaden your horizons a little bit. It’s always good to venture out of your comfort zone, even if you learn that your tastes still don’t align with someone else’s.
