  • Milo Yiannopoulos’ former editor ripped the initial manuscript he submitted to Simon & Schuster.
  • The editor took issue with Yiannopoulos’ sense of humor, logic, and writing style.

Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos’ book deal fell through after a tape revealed that he appeared to endorse sexual relationships with teenagers.

But according to a manuscript revealed as part of Yiannopoulos’ $ 10 million lawsuit against Simon & Schuster, editors had “substantial concerns” with the book’s tone and message to begin with.

Simon & Schuster editor Mitchell Ivers, who has edited books by conservative figures including President Donald Trump and Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, criticized Yiannopoulos’ writing at length, pointing out logical fallacies in arguments, and saying that Yiannopoulos’ “ego gets in the way of authority” in certain passages.

“You can’t cite ONLY the one study that proves your point,” Ivers noted. “You have to offer it as a counter to the studies that DISPROVE your point.”

Ivers took issue with how Yiannopoulos covered subjects he was supposed to have some authority on.

He described Yiannopoulos’ section on the Gamergate controversy as “a mess of low-context writing, in which you assume the reader shares your previous knowledge and point-of-view, and muddled thinking,” and summed up Yiannopoulos’ chapter called “Why Ugly People Hate Me” as “terrible.”

Moreover, Ivers seemed to find Yiannopoulos to be an un-humorous subject, urging the former Breitbart News blogger to cut jokes that Ivers repeatedly said were not funny, and telling him not to make cruel analogies like comparing liberals to school shooters.

“Three unfunny jokes in a row. DELETE,” Ivers said after Yiannopoulos joked about putting a warning label on a Bikini Kill record that Yiannopoulos referred to as “Bikini Kills.”

And a pretty good summary of the book I imagine. pic.twitter.com/2kPESxAlA9

Yiannopoulos has undoubtedly had a difficult year.

Yiannopoulos was forced out of Breitbart News following his comments about pedophilia, and was forced to cancel a major event he planned at the University of California-Berkeley.

BuzzFeed News later published embarrassing leaked emails that exposed Yiannopoulos’s deep ties to white supremacists. Just weeks later, hedge-fund billionaire Robert Mercer, a major former Yiannopoulos backer, acknowledged the right-wing provocateur has “caused pain and divisiveness undermining … open and productive discourse.”

  • Leaked emails show Twitter’s own executives were confused about the firm’s policy towards verification, and how to apply its rules around harassment and abuse.
  • Twitter’s de-verification of far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos triggered an internal debate about whether he should be on the platform at all, and how users should be verified.
  • Twitter has since changed its policies around harassment and suspended its verification programme.

Twitter executives had an internal debate last year after removing verified status from the far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos from its platform, according to leaked emails obtained by BuzzFeed.

The chain of emails show divisions inside Twitter about the nature of verification and what it means. Verified accounts appear on Twitter with a blue tick mark next to their names, and usually belong to celebrities, writers, journalists, politicians, academics, and high-profile business people among others.

Yiannopoulos, tweeting as @Nero, was initially verified, but had that verification removed in January 2016 without explanation. He was banned permanently from Twitter about six months later — but the cache of emails deal with the internal debate around his deverification.

Here’s the exchange about Yiannopoulos, as reported by BuzzFeed:

Twitter’s general counsel Vijaya Gadde: “I thought that he wasn’t qualified for verification under current guidelines – is that not true? I want to make sure we are doing the right thing here and not responding to external pressure or attacks from him. We’ve already taken the PR hit, so let’s make sure we are focused on getting this right!”

Tina Bhatnaga, VP of user services: “If he is as bad as we think on abuse, why don’t we just perma-suspend?”

Adam Sharp, head of news, government, and elections: “To my understanding, none of the violations taken individually warrant permanent suspension and while we have escalations for repeat offenses of some types, we don’t have a blanket ‘three strikes you’re out’-type policy.”

Gadde: “I’d like to understand the verification policy and whether or not he is eligible or what would make him eligible. That should be an objective criteria in my view.”

Sharp, in a later email: “One challenge is how verification has morphed into something so much more than a well-intentioned identity check. It has become a cultural status symbol. It influences search ranking. It exempts a user from some spam filters. It gives them priority support treatment.”

The issue became so thorny that, several months later, Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey told staffers to stay calm with a quote from Gandhi: He wrote: “‘You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.’ Let’s make sure we continue to remember that.”

Twitter did not respond to a request for comment.

The cache of emails date from January 2016, and Twitter has spent the subsequent 23 months sharpening up its policies on hate speech, abusive behaviour, and accounts belonging to real-life hate figures. The firm began throwing extremists off its platform this week, starting with the leaders of British far-right organisation Britain First.

It has also suspended its verification service, with European policy boss Sinead McSweeney describing the programme this week as “broken from top to bottom.”

McSweeney also suggested Twitter had moved away from a policy of ultra-free speech, telling British politicians on Tuesday: “[We’ve] realised it’s no longer possible to stand up for all speech in the hopes society will become a better place because racism will be challenged, or homophobia challenged, or extremism will be challenged.”

Milo Yiannopoulos pulled from ‘Free Speech Arizona’ event after “violent threats” https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-pulled-from-free-speech-arizona-event-after-violent-threats/ https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-pulled-from-free-speech-arizona-event-after-violent-threats/#respond Sat, 28 Oct 2017 20:21:57 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-pulled-from-free-speech-arizona-event-after-violent-threats/

A Free Speech Arizona symposium is going ahead in Phoenix Saturday despite dropping its headline speaker, right wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, due to threats of violence.

The event organised by United Liberty Coalition is taking place in Glendale despite a week of “violent threats” and “security concerns”, according to organisers.

The group said it was forced to drop the controversial former Breitbart editor because of security concerns.

“This decision was difficult for us to make but ultimately the safety of both our speakers and guests are of the utmost importance to us,” the group said.

Yiannopoulos confirmed on Facebook that he had been asked not to come to Arizona due to a series of threats.

“I’m as irritated as you are,” he told fans promising to work with new agents and promoters to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

United Liberty Coalition’s Facebook post included a quote attributed to Yiannopoulos blaming liberals for blocking free speech.

“The contrast between my tour in Australia, which has grown from 5 to 7 venues, and my tour in America, where 3 venues have cancelled due to safety concerns, should serve as a wake-up call to the guardians of free speech in this country.

Left-wing bullies continue to use the threat of violence – and, often, deploy real violence –to suppress conservative speakers.”

The exact location of the symposium was keep secret until the day before the event. Some 62 venues turned down the group, according to the Phoenix New Times citing organiser Shelby Busch.

Yiannopoulos is closely associated with the “alt-right” movement. His appearances on college campuses have spurred protests and even violence.

Last month, Yiannopoulos’ planned Free Speech Week at Berkeley was cancelled after the group of students planning to host him backed out, citing “threats” and actions of University staff.

A trove of documents and excerpts from conversations within Breitbart, an alt-right news website once edited by former counselor to President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, shows seemingly deep ties to modern Nazi figures in the US.

Uncovered by Buzzfeed News’ Joseph Bernstein, a series of communications, leaks, and a video establish how the website’s former tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos often trafficked with ideological extremists on the right to fight a culture war under Bannon’s instructions to “go help save western civilization.”

Though Yiannopoulos often defends his work as being satire and provocations that offer counter points to what he considers liberal-dominated college campuses across the US, Buzzfeed’s reports uncovered damning ties between Yiannopoulos and Nazism.

For example, Buzzfeed uncovered that Yiannopoulos used as passwords to private accounts references to the Kristallnacht, or the Night of Long Knives, a purge of German Jews and gays by the paramilitary organization that helped Adolf Hitler rise to power.

Yiannopoulos himself identifies as gay and Jewish, and denied being a racist to Buzzfeed.

Also in the report, Buzzfeed published a video of Yiannopoulos signing an overblown version of “America the beautiful” as avowed Nazi Richard Spencer and other alt-right figures gave Nazi salutes.

Berkeley ‘Free Speech Week’ cancelled, Yiannopoulos to hold rally anyway https://briefnews.eu/berkeley-free-speech-week-cancelled-yiannopoulos-to-hold-rally-anyway/ https://briefnews.eu/berkeley-free-speech-week-cancelled-yiannopoulos-to-hold-rally-anyway/#respond Sun, 24 Sep 2017 19:41:56 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/berkeley-free-speech-week-cancelled-yiannopoulos-to-hold-rally-anyway/

Milo Yiannopoulos’ planned Free Speech Week at Berkeley has been cancelled, but the right wing troll announced he intends to hold a rally instead. The cancellation has fuelled suspicions that the event was never meant to go ahead.

Yiannopoulos was working with conservative Berkeley student group, Berkeley Patriot, which announced the event’s cancellation in a letter to the university Saturday.

“This cancellation is solely because of the actions, as well as threats made, against our clients by the administrations and your employees,” the letter, signed by attorney Marguerite Melo, read.

In an “emergency” Facebook announcement Saturday, Yiannopoulos said he’d been “blindsided” by the decision, but added that, while they’re unable to hold an official university event, a rally would be held “come hell or high water,” without the support of the student group.

“I can’t promise you’re going to be safe. It’s not an official event,” Yiannopoulos warned from a hotel room flanked by anti-Islam writer Pamela Gellar and YouTuber Mike Cernovich. Yiannopoulos also promised a “huge surprise.”

A set up?

Bay Area News Group obtained an email chain that suggests the Free Speech Week was nothing more than a publicity stunt by Yiannopoulos, who perhaps thought the university would object to the event, and thus rile up his supporters.

The emails reveal one of the planned speakers, Gateway Pundit writer Lucian Wintrich, told Berkeley spokesman Dan Mogulof that the event was intended as an attention grab. Wintrich removed his name from the speaker list last week.

“It was known that they didn’t intend to actually go through with it last week, and completely decided on Wednesday,” Wintrich said.

Mogulof responded, “Wait, whoah, hold on a second. What, exactly, are you saying? What were you told by MILO Inc? Was it a set-up from the get-go?”

Wintrich responded, “Yes.” RT.com has reached out to Wintrich to confirm these details.

The LA Times reported Friday that only four speakers had confirmed their attendance at the event, and that at least four others said they were surprised to find themselves on the schedule.

Ann Coulter, who was supposed to be speaking, told the LA Times she “never planned to speak” and that “no contract for me to speak existed.”

Former White House strategist and Breitbart chief Steve Bannon was also listed as a speaker, but would not respond to requests for confirmation of his attendance.

The Hill reports speakers like Charles Murray, Heather Mac Donald, James Damore and Blackwater founder Erik Prince either dropped out, never confirmed they would attend, or, in Damore’s case, said they were added to the list without being told.

Berkeley reportedly expected to spend about $ 1 million on security and other elements for the event.

Clashes between Unite the Right protesters and counter demonstrators in Charlottesville in August led to the protest being cancelled. It was then that white supremacist James Alex Fields rammed his car into counter protesters, killing Heather Heyer.

The Berkeley Patriot said it had been “fully prepared” to move forward with the event.

The group claimed it had been “subjected to extraordinary pressure and resistance, if not outright hostility” by the administration. The group said it filed a complaint with the Department of Justice accusing the university of “a pattern and practice of systematic suppression” of First and Fourteenth Amendment rights.

The school, however, said the group missed many deadlines to secure the location for the event.

Mogulof told Mercury News that Berkeley had no intention of restricting conservative speech.

“Claims that this is somehow the outcome desired by the campus are without basis in fact. The university was prepared to do whatever was necessary to support the First Amendment rights of the student organization,” he said.

Milo Yiannopoulos blasted for calling US pop star Ariana Grande ‘pro-Islam’ https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-blasted-for-calling-us-pop-star-ariana-grande-pro-islam/ https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-blasted-for-calling-us-pop-star-ariana-grande-pro-islam/#respond Wed, 24 May 2017 15:23:38 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-blasted-for-calling-us-pop-star-ariana-grande-pro-islam/

Ultra-right figure Milo Yiannopoulos has sparked uproar on social media for labeling singer Ariana Grande “pro-Islam” a day after 22 people were killed in a Manchester bomb attack claimed by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).

The right-wing British media figure posted a series of comments on his Facebook page suggesting that the perpetrator who blew himself up at the Arena on Monday evening had acted in solidarity with Grande, who holds “pro-Islam views.”

“Sadly, Ariana Grande is too stupid to wise up and warn her European fans about the real threats to their freedom and their lives.

“She will remain ferociously pro-immigrant, pro-Islam and anti-America,” his Facebook post read.

“Makes you wonder whether they bombed to attack her or in solidarity,” he added.

Following the suicide blast, which occurred minutes after Grande had finished her gig on Monday, the pop star tweeted that she felt “broken” and extremely “sorry.”

Responding to the tweet, Yiannopoulos said Grande should “stop feeling sorry for herself” and “condemn Islamic terror.”

He also suggested that the 23-year-old singer is more terrifying than US President Donald Trump.

It is the second time in a matter of months that Yiannopoulos has come under fire for making controversial comments.

He was recently attacked after apparently endorsing sex between “younger boys” and older men, which cost him not only a lucrative book deal, but also his job as editor of right-wing media outlet Breitbart News.

Twitter users have again flocked to social media to hit out at his provocative comments.

One said the far-right provocateur has lost his “credibility” and made the remarks in order to return to the spotlight.

Another echoed this view, questioning whether his comments were a bid to attract attention or if he is just “ignorant.”

MattyKaye called Yiannopoulos a “pederast supporter” who is just trying to stay “relevant.”

Another said Yiannopoulos’ should show some “respect” for those affected by the tragedy.

Steven Leser, a Democratic pundit appearing on several TV shows, defended Grande’s talent while accusing Yiannopoulos of being “pro-pedophilia.”

Grande has not been the only subject of Yiannopoulos’ reproaches, however.  He also took a swipe at London Mayor Sadiq Khan for failing to condemn Islamic State after the attack at Manchester Arena.

Conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos announced that he was planning to launch a comeback tour after his abrupt resignation as editor from the far-right website Breitbart News earlier this year.

The multi-day event, which he called “MILO’S FREE SPEECH WEEK,” is scheduled be held in Berkeley, California — one of the cities known for its promotion of free speech since the 1960s — sometime later this year. He said the event would presumably draw activists, YouTubers, veterans, and more “from across the ideological spectrum.”

“We will hold talks and rallies and throw massive parties, all in the name of free expression and the First Amendment,” wrote Yiannopoulos in a statement on his Facebook page. “All will be welcome, regardless of political affiliation.”

Berkeley has recently been embroiled in controversy after the University of California at Berkeley campus attempted to schedule an appearance of Yiannopoulos for a book tour in February. The event was eventually canceled after violent protests erupted on campus.

More recently, the conservative best-selling author Ann Coulter was also scheduled to appear at UC Berkeley later this month. She said she was facing restraints and “burdensome conditions” from campus officials on her scheduled appearance.

“I’m speaking at Berkeley on April 27th, as I was invited to do and have a contract to do,” Coulter wrote in a series of tweets. “Berkeley just imposed an all-new arbitrary & harassing condition on my exercise of a constitutional right.”

Yiannopoulos appeared to acknowledge Coulter’s current situation with campus officials and included conditions for his event.

“If UC Berkeley does not actively assist us in the planning and execution of this event, we will extend festivities to an entire month,” he continued. “We will establish a tent city on Sproul Plaza protesting the university’s total dereliction of its duty and encourage students at other universities to follow suit.”

Milo Yiannopoulos Calls Abuse Victims “Whinging, Selfish Brats” In A Newly-Emerged Video https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-calls-abuse-victims-whinging-selfish-brats-in-a-newly-emerged-video/ https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-calls-abuse-victims-whinging-selfish-brats-in-a-newly-emerged-video/#respond Sat, 11 Mar 2017 13:50:56 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-calls-abuse-victims-whinging-selfish-brats-in-a-newly-emerged-video/

Following the scandal last month that engulfed Milo Yiannopolous over his remarks about sexual abuse, another video has resurfaced showing the former senior editor at Breitbart News attacking survivors of clerical abuse as “whinging, selfish brats”, and erroneously claiming that a disproportionate number of gay men are paedophiles.

In an interview with Gavin McInnes on his eponymous US internet chat show – originally aired in 2015 on Compound Media – Yiannopoulos, responding to a remark by the host regarding priests who abuse children, said: “The real problem I have is all these people who suddenly remember they were abused 20 years later and suddenly decide that it was a problem – whinging selfish brats.”

He added: “I mean, my God, it’s really not that big a deal. You can’t let it ruin your life – so someone fiddled with you, so what?”

In the video, shared by the Reagan Battalion Twitter account, which identifies itself as a conservative news source, McInnes, a Catholic British-Canadian, interjected by saying Catholic priests are “not fucking two-year-olds, they’re fucking pubescent boys – they’re gays.”

Yiannopoulos did not refute this, but instead agreed that “in many cases they are gay”, adding, “Although I’m reluctant to hear a bad thing about the Catholic church, you know, if it hadn’t been for Father Michael I would have earned a fraction of what I did in my twenties.”

The “Father Michael” in question was also alluded to by Yiannopolous in the now notorious video that emerged in February – from January 2016 – in which he appeared to suggest that underage adolescent boys might benefit from sexual relations with older men. The video, from the podcast Drunken Peasants, was released by the conservative website Reagan Battalion, which appears to be behind the release of this latest video.

The remarks, widely condemned, led to the commentator losing his $ 250,000 book deal with Simon & Schuster, being disinvited to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), and to his resignation from Breitbart, the far-right news website.

In response to the outcry Yiannopoulis denied defending paedophilia, calling it a “vile and disgusting crime”, and tried to clarify his remarks by saying he was referring to boys over the age of 16.

Earlier in the video that resurfaced most recently, in response to McInnes asking about Britain “Isn’t everyone a paedophile over there?”, Yiannopoulos said: “Well no, I mean, there’s this great taboo against conflating homosexuals with paedophiles and you’re not allowed to say that of course these things exist on a spectrum and that there is of course a huge disproportionate overlap between homosexual men and paedophiles versus heterosexual men.”

At the end of the video, he added: “I wouldn’t give nearly such good head if it weren’t for my priest. I just don’t see the big deal.”

Yiannopoulos had not responded to BuzzFeed News’ request for comment at time of publication.

The video has already cost Yiannopoulos his book deal and his speaking slot at CPac, and now New York Times media writer Michael M. Grynbaum has posted a screencap of a press release, apparently issued by Yiannopoulos himself, announcing his resignation from Breitbart News. This is as yet unconfirmed by any other source, but we’ll update this if we hear anything more concrete.

Milo Yiannopoulos Just Tasted the Hypocrisy of the American Right https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-just-tasted-the-hypocrisy-of-the-american-right/ https://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-just-tasted-the-hypocrisy-of-the-american-right/#respond Tue, 21 Feb 2017 18:08:54 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/milo-yiannopoulos-just-tasted-the-hypocrisy-of-the-american-right/ We’re not overly given to schadenfreude here at Flavorwire, and even if we were, there’s not that much to celebrate in the ongoing downfall of Milo Yiannopoulos. He’s a sad little man who, judging by the comments on pedophilia that have finally brought him down, has years of therapy ahead of him. He’s certainly worthy of contempt, because everything he’s done over the past couple of years has been a cynical, calculate ploy for attention: before he managed to become an icon for the equally sad kiddies of Gamergate, he ridiculed gamers, and before he reinvented himself as a right-wing annoyance, he wrote earnestly about the need for civility on the internet.

There’s a special circle of hell reserved for people like Yiannopoulos, people who know their “cause” and their rhetoric are nonsense — and know that both of those things hurt real people who have done nothing to them, but choose to proceed anyway because doing so brings them fame and riches. But pandering to the right is a dangerous game, because your new friends have as much concern for you as they do anyone else, which is to say very little. If you become a liability, they’ll throw you straight under the bus without a second thought.

So it has proven for Yiannopoulos, who has been kicked to the kerb by his new conservative friends just as quickly as they embraced him. (If you missed the news over the weekend, a video emerged of him apparently condoning relationships between older men and young boys, and as a result, his book has been cancelled by Simon & Schuster, CPac has rescinded its invitation for him to speak, and most hilariously of all, his colleagues at Breitbart are calling for his resignation.)

Good. The world is in enough trouble as it is without cynical toads like Yiannopoulos building careers off its woes. No-one will miss him or his stupid book. But the real question is: why did this take so long?

Alt-right types — along with children on Twitter who don’t have any particular ideology but love Milo because he says naughty things that upset their mothers — have spent much of the past two years defending Yiannopoulos’s schtick on the basis of, yes, freedom of speech. It’s long been a point of bipartisan consensus that freedom of speech isn’t absolute — the classic example is shouting “fire” in a crowded theatre, and subsequent cases have established further scenarios in which First Amendment protections do not apply. These include fighting words and incitement to violence. (They also include false statements of fact, which Milo’s employers would do well to take note.)

Let’s be clear: while some of the things Yiannopoulos has said and/or enabled have been thoroughly obnoxious, it’s doubtful that any of them would be examples of speech not covered by the First Amendment. But then, neither would his statements on pedophilia. Until now, Milo’s fan club have cited the First Amendment and painted him as a martyr for free speech every time he’s been slapped down, no matter how tokenistic and overdue those actions have been. Nothing, it appeared, would cross the line, perhaps because there wasn’t one.

Except, whoops, nope, it turns out there is a line! Over the weekend, we found out where that line is drawn: pedophilia! Racism? Totally fine. Sexism? All good. Transphobia? No problem. But endorsing grown men having sex with underage boys? Nope. That, apparently, is where conservatives (and book publishers of questionable morality) draw the line. Pedophilia is such a toxic subject that any hint of association with it is too much.

There’s a whole separate essay to be written about the question of why this is where the line is drawn — there’s something peculiarly American about the combination of pathological obsession with children and complete disregard for any other human beings — and I’m sure psychologists could write entire textbooks about both Yiannopoulos and, indeed, his supporters.

But the more relevant point, at least in the context of this piece, is that free speech has limits. Of course it does. This might seem like an obvious point, and to some extent it’s exactly that. But in a country where sanity and common sense are in increasingly short supply, re-stating the obvious is important and necessary.

With that fact (re-)established, then, it’s instructive to look again at what Yiannopoulos’s supporters have been happy to tolerate. If their commitment to free speech is not, in fact, absolute, then they have made a choice as to what speech is acceptable and what is not. This means that a refusal to censure Milo over his enthusiastic racism, sexism, etc, reflects a thought that those statements are acceptable. This is a case in which a refusal to condemn is essentially an endorsement.

Here’s an example of exactly that: apparently a bunch of Breitbart employees is calling for Yiannopoulos to be fired from the site because of what he said in the video over the weekend. I mean, do these people read their own fucking site? Assuming that, yes, of course they do, then they’re presumably perfectly OK with everything else that Milo has written in his column on Breitbart, including such gems as “Why Cyberbullying Isn’t Real,” “Trannies Are Gay,” “The Solution To Online ‘Harassment’ Is Simple: Women Should Log Off,” “There’s No Hiring Bias Against Women In Tech, They Just Suck At Interviews,” “Fat People Should Absolutely Hate Themselves,” and on, and on, and on. There are two common threads in these pieces: first, they are the bleatings of a man who desperately wants to be looked at, and second, the man in question’s strategy for getting attention is to shit all over groups of people less fortunate than he is.

None of these pieces, of course, fall foul of the First Amendment, and I’m not suggesting that they do. I am suggesting, however, that when you finally decide that your commitment to allowing this dickhead to say anything he wants isn’t absolute, then you need to look very carefully at what you are fine with him saying. The fact that it’s taken this long for Yiannopoulos’s conservative friends to turn on him says just as much about them as it does about him, and the truth that this sorry episode has revealed — that conservatives care about hypothetical children more than they do about flesh-and-blood women, people of color, trans people, immigrants, refugees and pretty much anyone else who isn’t an unpleasant white man — will remain relevant long after Milo has been consigned to the shitheap of history, his 15 minutes well and truly over.
