And, sure enough, the show eventually began accusing her of being a witch. Because she was such a good friend to Claire, she eventually admitted to being a witch, absolving Claire of any accusations. It is later revealed that Geillis has been killed off after giving birth to her child. Just before she died, though, she sent a message to Claire, which read: “1968.” It may be the season to be jolly but that’s not going to stop witches wanting to get a piece of the press pie to tell President Trump to stop using his beloved ‘witch hunt’ mantra. The community of wiccans are utilizing the festive season to share what means the most to them – and that’s criticising Trump for using the offensive term ‘witch hunt’. Of course, the politically correct mainstream media has felt obliged to listen to their plight. So where are all the missing Text messages between fired FBI agents Peter S and the lovely Lisa Page, his lover. Just reported that they have been erased and wiped clean. What an outrage as the totally compromised and conflicted Witch Hunt moves ever so slowly forward. Want them! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 16, 2018 The witches say Trump’s repeated use of the term throughout his presidency, and most recently to describe the Russia investigation, fails to recognise the “worst period in our history,”according to witch Kitty Randall. ….care how many lives the ruin. These are Angry People, including the highly conflicted Bob Mueller, who worked for Obama for 8 years. They won’t even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side. A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 15, 2018 READ MORE: Mueller again? Trump bashes ‘disgraceful’ Russia probe “If Mueller’s investigation were truly a ‘witch hunt,’ then Donald Trump would be hanging naked from chains in a cold barn somewhere, being tortured into admitting his pact with Satan, before being burned at the stake … Instead he’s golfing at Mar-a-Lago,” Randall adds. ….The Russian Witch Hunt Hoax, started as the “insurance policy” long before I even got elected, is very bad for our Country. They are Entrapping people for misstatements, lies or unrelated things that took place many years ago. Nothing to do with Collusion. A Democrat Scam! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 16, 2018 It appears their endeavor to clear the good name of witches has been somewhat of a success. Their plight has been covered by CNN, The New York Post, USA Today, Fox News, The Daily Beast and, yes, now RT. Trump has reportedly used the phrase more than 60 times on Twitter alone, leading some witches – including this Brooklyn coven – to take the drastic step of casting a spell on the president. Some may not realize that Trump could in fact be referring to the McCarthyist sort of witch hunts rather than the actual bloody medieval practices, but then again, the 45th president is not always helping his critics with the context. Cordelia’s efforts took her to Dinah Stevens’ house, where a cool $ 100,000 earned her a visit with that shadowy slice of man meat known as Papa Legba. But the voodoo daddy wasn’t the only familiar face awaiting Cordelia — it turns out that Nan is now working as Papa’s little mama. “I really like hell,” she told Cordelia. “It’s fun! … I make trouble.” (God, I’ve missed Nan.)
The Supreme’s request was for Papa Legba to open the gates of the underworld long enough for her to lure Michael inside, trapping him forever. Simple enough. But in order for him to betray Satan’s spawn (aka the boss’ kid), he required a hell of a price: each and every one of her girls’ souls. Unwilling to sacrifice those she vowed to protect, Cordelia rejected his offer, returning to Miss Robichaux’s Academy defeated — not to mention, you know, she’s out a hundred grand.
The coven’s second (and far more successful) plan involved getting in touch with Joan Collins’ new character, witch-turned-movie star Bubbles McGee. Fortunately, her magical prowess proved far more impressive than her latest acting gig, a Christmas-themed horror movie in which she tells her dying husband, “I f–ked your business partner every year since 1972!” You know, just another classic holiday film for the family.
Anyhoo, Bubbles has the ability to read into a person’s very soul, to “detect the truth in any situation.” (She also, according to Myrtle, has the ability to go down like no other, but I don’t want to talk about that right now… or ever.) Myrtle put her newly acquired human lie detector to the test over dinner with the warlocks, during which Bubbles learned that they murdered John Henry — and the witches were next.
From there, it was only a matter of resurrecting John Henry (via Zoe and Mallory), kidnapping Ms. Mead (via Coco… though she was basically just a distraction), and catching Ariel and Baldwin in the act of plotting to eradicate the witches. What came next was a deeply satisfying triple execution, as the witches burned their enemies alive — and looked damn good while doing it.
Also worth discussing…
* I’m so unsure how I should feel about Coco. I’d like to believe that she’s more than just a “human Weight Watchers,” but I also distinctly recall Madison mocking her uselessness after waking her in Outpost 3. One thing’s for sure: I’m not unsure about how much I love Leslie Grossman’s performance in the role. Brava.
* While we’re talking about strange powers, what the actual fork did Mallory do to stop Coco from choking? (That’s rhetorical, of course. We all saw her unzip Coco’s neck and pull the damn Hostess snack from her throat. But how? And while we’re at it, what is Mallory, anyway?)
* Can we take a moment to appreciate all the faces in the promo for next week’s episode? I mean, Sandra Bernhard? Harriet Harris? Ryan Murphy is really bringing in all the queens this season.
Your thoughts on Wednesday’s Apocalypse? Any new theories as we — gasp! — begin to approach the end of the season? Whatever’s on your mind, drop it in a comment below.

Disney wants to beat Netflix at the streaming game, and they know just how to do it: by bringing MCU characters to TV. A new report reveals that the House of Mouse is planning to offer streaming shows devoted to Loki, Scarlet Witch and possibly other Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. Both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are expected to reprise their respective roles. More on the latest Disney streaming service news below.
Variety has the news regarding the Loki and Scarlet Witch shows on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Play. The plan is to create shows based around MCU characters who have yet to have their own standalone movies, with Loki and Scarlet Witch coming first. Bigger characters, like Iron Man and Captain America, will remain firmly in the world of film, while the streaming shows focus on “second tier characters.”
That’s not to say these prospective shows are going to be cheap. Variety says “budgets are expected to be hefty rivaling those of a major studio production” – which makes sense, because both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are likely to play their respective characters. Each show will run six to eight episodes, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is expected to have a an active role in their development.
This is big news, and only bolsters Disney Play’s power. Disney is also developing movies – like a live-action Lady and the Tramp – and a $ 100 million Star Wars series from Jon Favreau. All of these items put together will surely inspire viewers to sign up for Disney’s service. And what of Netflix’s Marvel shows? They will likely remain, produced under the Marvel TV brand, while the Disney Play shows will be considered the property of Marvel Studios. This possibly puts Netflix’s Marvel shows at a disadvantage – all the might of the Marvel/Disney empire could be going towards the Disney Play Marvel shows, leaving the Marvel Netflix titles out in the cold.
There was a time when something like this would seem unthinkable, but Disney has the power and the money to make it a reality. Streaming is the future, and Disney is tired of letting Netflix get all the glory. Will Loki and Scarlet Witch shows carry enough weight to hook viewers? Absolutely. Both Loki and Scarlet Witch have enough of a fan following to draw audiences in, and when you throw in the fact that Hiddleston and Olsen are reprising their roles, it sweetens the deal. Anyone who has wanted to see more of these characters will finally get their wish. And hey, who knows – maybe they’ll give Hawkeye his own series next. Remember Hawkeye?
There’s no word when we might see these shows, but Disney Play is expected to launch sometime in 2019.

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is the only chapter in the horror franchise that doesn’t feature the iconic slasher Michael Myers. Though it was disregarded for years, the film has earned a loyal following in horror circles, and those fans will undoubtedly be happy to see the film’s soundtrack composed by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth get the vinyl treatment by Mondo, complete with an incredibly designed package featuring art by Alan Hynes, and a special magic trick to astound your friends.

Mondo teamed up with Death Waltz Recording Co. to created a new pressing of the remastered soundtrack that Death Waltz issued in 2015, taken from the original 2-inch master tapes. As you can see, there are three different vinyl offerings: 180 Gram Pumpkin Mask vinyl (Orange and Black color-in-color), Skeleton Mask vinyl (Cloudy Clear and Black color-in-color) or Witch Mask vinyl (Green and Black color-in-color).
The artwork by Alan Hynes was designed to resemble vintage, novelty Halloween toy packaging while still fitting with the overall aesthetic of the movie itself. Plus, the special packaging fits inside of the specially designed Halloween vinyl soundtrack slipcase that holds all of the Halloween franchise vinyl releases coming from Mondo this year. Plus, it includes three cards to perform a special magic trick with instructions includes in the slipcase.
If you’re not quite as familiar with the music of Halloween 3 as you are the rest of the franchise, here’s how Mondo excitedly describes the electronic score:
“John Carpenter and Alan Howarth completely jettisoned their previous work and deliver nothing short of an electronic masterpiece. The lead track ‘Chariots Of Pumpkins’ is an epic 4/4 beat-driven synth-banger that has regularly been played by DJs over the last 10 years. The rest of the score features lush pads, Linn drums aplenty and veers from beautiful blissed-out ambient drones to sinister stinger-driven mood pieces. Absolutely outstanding stuff.”
If you need anymore convincing, here’s a teaser video:
Maybe it’s time to revisit Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. You can pick up the Halloween 3 vinyl soundtrack from Mondo starting Wednesday, August 29 at 12pm CT.

Being a witch seems like it comes with some handy magical powers, but when you have to hide them from your fellow campers while also trying to make friends, enjoy activities, and solve mysteries, things can get a little hairy in adorable adventure game Camp W.
As a little witch at her first sleepaway camp, things are probably stressful enough, but for whatever reason, you’re being sent to a camp for regular humans who have long forgotten what magic is. As such, you’ll want to deal with awkward friendships, trouble with bullies, and weird events without making your powers known, so you’ll have to carefully choose when to make use of your magic abilities. These do make things easier, but only if you don’t get seen using them. Camp life is hard enough without folks seeing you talking to a squirrel, after all.
Not that when and where to use magic is your only choice. You have to pick which activities to take part in with Camp W, as well as who you spend your time with. You can’t become friends with everyone, so you’ll want to pick your pals carefully. On top of this, there are some mysteries surrounding the camp you can solve if you dedicate the time and effort to them, as well as a number of collectibles to track down. Players only have time for a handful of activities during each run, so they’ll have to explore the story in various ways to find all the game has to offer. Still, Camp W‘s charming story of trying to fit in when you’re different is one that’s well worth a few runs.
Camp W is available for $ 12.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Psyop, you can head to the game’s site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, and Twitter.

Cassie Nightingale has conjured herself another season.
Hallmark announced on Thursday night at its Television Critics Association summer press tour soiree that Good Witch has been renewed for Season 5.
It was also revealed that the cabler’s When Calls the Heart is getting a spinoff called When Hope Calls, to launch in 2019 on the Hallmark Movies Now streaming service. No details were immediately available.
Good Witch, in which JAG alum Catherine Bell plays the titular spellcaster, closed Season 4 on July 1, after which Hallmark aired a teaser for a two-hour Halloween special (to air in October).
Good Witch‘s most recent run averaged 2.1 million total viewers and just over a 0.2 demo rating (in Live+Same Day numbers). That was right on par with its previous two seasons (which were both up a tick from Season 1).
The TV series, which premiered in February 2015, was of course born of a TV-movie franchise which spanned seven installments from 2008 to 2014.

We’ve cast our nets into the sea of content and hauled in a fresh batch of movie trailers, just for you. In this trailer roundup, you’ll see trailers for the new season of Orange Is The New Black, the Korean supernatural action flick Witch, the documentary McQueen, the courtroom drama The Children Act, the Idris Elba-directed Yardie, and Insecure season 3.
Bye bye, Litch. pic.twitter.com/Y9tWQtIO37
— Orange Is the New… (@OITNB) June 5, 2018
Orange Is The New Black season 6 will leave Litchfield behind for a whole new prison. And based on this trailer, the show is going to only get more intense. The series has already been renewed for a seventh season as well, so you’ll have a whole lot more of Orange Is The New Black in your life. This teaser doesn’t really offer any new footage of the upcoming season, but it does confirm the Netflix premiere date: July 27, 2018.
I Saw The Devil director Park Hoon-jung is back with Witch, a Korean supernatural action film that looks all kinds of awesome. This Witch trailer doesn’t have English subtitles, so it might be hard to make out what the film is about. But based on the visuals alone, it’s going to be one hell of a movie. Witch tells the story of a teenage girl who “lost her memory and then was raised by an elderly couple. She runs runs into mysterious people one day and there the adventure begins.” There’s no official release date yet, but keep your eyes peeled.
The life of controversial fashion designer Alexander McQueen is explored in McQueen, a new documentary from Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui. Many aspects of McQueen’s caused controversy, often giving collections names like “Highland Rape.” McQueen committed suicide in 2010, but his designs are still worn today. McQueen opens in limited release July 20, 2018.
Exploring the life of British fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who started his career in his teens before gaining notice as designer for Givenchy and launching his own label, which continues to this day. He took his own life in 2010.
The Children Act, based on a novel by Ian McEwan, is “a compelling and powerful drama telling the story of Fiona Maye (Emma Thompson), an eminent high court judge presiding over ethically complex cases. As the demands of her job cause her marriage to Jack (Stanley Tucci) to reach tipping point, Fiona is asked to rule on the case of Adam (Fionn Whitehead), a brilliant young boy who is refusing a life-saving blood transfusion on religious grounds. With her private life in turmoil, Fiona finds herself drawn into the case, taking the unorthodox step of halting proceedings in order to visit Adam in hospital. As the two form a profound connection and powerful emotions come to light, Fiona’s judgement is put to the test with momentous consequences as she must ultimately decide whether Adam lives or dies.” I’m not big on courtroom dramas, but this looks promising. And any movie that has Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci acting their heads off is worth seeing. The Children Act opens in UK & Irish cinemas August 24, 2018.
Idris Elba makes his directorial debut with Yardie, a film set in ‘70s Jamaica and ‘80s London that “centers on the story of ‘D’ (Aml Ameen) who embarks on an explosive quest for retribution following the death of his brother.” ““I’ve been vocal about how much Hackney and that part of east London influenced me as a young man,” Elba said of the film, “so making a film about someone I can relate to made it easier for me. I could put a lot of myself into it. I could almost imagine the audience who might respond to the film.” Yardie opens in the U.K. August 24, 2018.
Issa Rae’s Insecure is back for a third season on HBO. The series “explores the black female experience. Rae stars as Issa and Yvonne Orji stars as Molly. Over the course of the season, Issa attempts to figure out what she wants out of life and how to take control of it, while fumbling her way through this journey. Molly, a corporate attorney who appears to have everything together professionally, struggles inside as she looks for external ways to fix her life. Meanwhile, Issa’s boyfriend, Lawrence (Jay Ellis), who has fallen victim to complacency, works to get his own act together. Frieda (Lisa Joyce), Issa’s overeager white co-worker, whose enthusiasm is both annoying and endearing, is at the crux of Issa’s racial frustrations at work.” The series returns Sunday, August 12 at 10:30 on HBO.

#Riverdale has Vegas, #Sabrina has Black Narcissus. What a wonderful night for a dark baptism. pic.twitter.com/ynz2OrkzCR

I’ve yet to watch Riverdale, but I’m very excited about the upcoming Netflix take on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The show is currently filming and as a result, new behind-the-scenes images have arrived. First off, here’s a look at Black Narcissus, a very Black Philip-esque goat that will appear on the supernatural-themed show. In addition the goat, below you’ll see an on-set image of Sabrina herself, played by Kiernan Shipka. Sabrina is seen here with her boyfriend Harvey Kinkle, played Ross Lynch. Netflix’s take on Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be far-removed from the Melissa Joan Hart sitcom, and have a dark, supernatural bent. Can’t wait.
Well, it’s out there. A 1st look at Harvey and Sabrina from the “Chilling Adventures of #Sabrina.” ADORBS, right? pic.twitter.com/9n8cznpv2c

Nightflyers, an adaptation of a novella from Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin, is coming to Syfy in the U.S., but it’s coming to Netflix internationally. So here’s a Netflix First Look for the series, which blends horror and sci-fi and is “set in the future on the eve of Earth’s destruction, a crew of explorers journey on the most advanced ship in the galaxy, The Nightflyer, to intercept an alien spacecraft. One that might just hold the key to their survival.”
Showtime’s The Affair is about to return for its fourth season. The show stars Dominic West, Ruth Wilson, Joshua Jackson, and Maura Tierney, and “explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship. Noah is a New York City schoolteacher and budding novelist with a wife of twenty years and four children. Alison is a young waitress and wife from Montauk at the end of Long Island, trying to piece her life back together in the wake of a tragedy. The provocative drama unfolds separately from multiple perspectives, using the distinct memory biases of each character to tell the story.” A new trailer for season 4 has arrived to hold you over until the show returns on June 17, 2018.
Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is pretty much done with ABC. THR reports that after clashing with the network, Barris “is actively trying to get out of his overall deal with ABC Studios, his creative home since 2015.” Barris has not been pleased with ABC. Last month, the network pulled a politically charged episode of the series off the air. As THR puts it, “ABC called the decision to scrap it a mutual one between the network and Barris, though sources say otherwise.” Barris is now apparently talking with Netflix, with hopes of landing a deal similar to the deal Netflix signed with Shonda Rhimes and Ryan Murphy.
Netflix is adding another animated series to their ever-growing line-up of original material. The new series is Paradise P.D., an “adult animated series” with the following synopsis:
They’re bad cops. Not bad like no nonsense. Not bad like cool. Bad like shitty. Paradise PD: They’re the worst responders. From the creators of Brickleberry comes this take on a small-town police department.
The series will feature the voice talents of Dana Snyder, Cedric Yarbough, Dave Herman, Tom Kenny, Sarah Chalke, and Kyle Kinane. Look for Paradise P.D. later this year.
During a recent panel at WonderCon (via Comic Book), Star Trek: Discovery showrunners Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts said that the second season of the CBS All Access series will be more “Trekian” – as in, its tone will feel more like the classic Star Trek than the first season. “I think that we are aware of the fact that it is a different era and it’s a different format for the show,” said Berg says, with Harberts adding:
“This was an interesting season because it was set against the backdrop of war. One of the things that we are looking forward to in season two is a tone that we can now be in a more of an exploratory phase, a more diplomatic phase, maybe a bit more of a ‘Trekian’ chapter of this. But everything for us – like Gretchen said – is really driven by character and we felt that that was a great way to…and you’ll learn more about Saru this season, and we had to lay some pipe early on too. What are those threat ganglia? What do they do? What do they represent in the Terran Empire? And a lot of that stuff will fold back in when we’re back on the air.”
Expect to see more Gendry in Game of Thrones season 8. Speaking with Digital Spy, actor Joe Dempsie says the upcoming season will give audiences a lot more time with the bastard son of Robert Baratheon:
“For me personally, the only real hope I had for the character was just that he would be there when the reckoning came. You got the sense – even back in season 3 – that this was a show that was building towards some incredible climax, so you just wanted to be there when it all happened. Not even necessarily just from a character point-of-view, [but] from a personal point of view – to be stood there on the set when they’re making that ending… that end game. So yeah, I’m very happy to be involved and be on set for season 8.”
Game of Thrones won’t return to HBO until 2019, so you’ll have to wait a while to see just how much Gendry is featured in season 8.
Netflix’s big, Hollywood-ized reboot of Lost in Space arrives on April 13. It’s pretty good! As I said in my review, “Irwin Allen’s somewhat cheesy 1960s sci-fi program gets a cinematic upgrade for the Netflix age with Lost In Space. Employing production design that would be right at home in the rebooted J.J. Abrams Star Trek franchise, Netflix’s Lost In Space takes the raw materials from the original show, and molds them into an episodic drama featuring surprisingly complex characters.” As you await the series, feel free to check out the show’s title sequence above. It’s interesting that they released this, since several episodes of the show actual forego using it for a shorter title sequence.
The BBC has just begun filming on a new take of H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds. Unlike the big budget Steven Spielberg film adaptation, the new BBC film looks to be set in the same time period as Wells’ book – the late 1800s. The BBC War of the Worlds will feature Eleanor Tomlinson, Rafe Spall, Robert Carlyle and Rupert Graves. Craig Viveiros, the director of the adaptation, says: “H.G. Wells’ seminal novel has been adapted for the screen many times but it’s always had a contemporary (and American) setting, this is the first version to be set in London and the Home Counties during the Edwardian period. Peter’s scripts manage to honour the source material with great skill, but we aim to provide a thoroughly modern thrill ride for the audience, delivering an alien invasion story that will shock and awe audiences across the globe.”
Steven Spielberg is teaming with documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney for the docu-series Why We Hate. Deadline says Why We Hate will be a “six-part television event series the probes the human capacity for hatred and how we can overcome it.” This sounds intriguing, and Spielberg and Gibney are both at the top of their respective fields. I’m curious to see how they work together. “This is not a series that simply documents something that’s happening, it’s an inquiry – an attempt to understand why we hate, through the science, and through a sense of common humanity,” said Gibney. “Hate is in our DNA. If we begin to understand this, that’s how we begin to get to a point of being able to hope that we can overcome hate.” Spielberg added:
“Getting to the root of the human condition is something I find not only fascinating, but absolutely necessary in understanding who we are…With the team in place, we delve into historical and modern-day stories of hate, traveling around the globe to uncover its mystery in others and in ourselves. If we understand why we act the way we do, we can change the way we act. That is what we are uniquely capable of as human beings.”
The series will be produced for Discovery, eyeing a 2019 premiere.
Remember The First Wives Club? It’s back, in TV reboot form. Deadline reports that the Paramount Network has given the green light to a pilot that will turn the 1996 comedy into a half-hour TV series. The ’96 film starred Diane Keaton, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn. The new TV series “will follow a group of women who band together after their marriages fall apart, and who find strength in their sisterhood — and of course a little revenge.” Girls Trip co-writer Tracy Oliver is writing the pilot.
With Sherlock on hold for a while (and maybe finished forever), Benedict Cumberbatch has time to lend his talents to Patrick Melrose, a new Showtime limited series “based on the acclaimed novels by Edward St. Aubyn tracks Patrick from a deeply traumatic childhood through substance abuse and, ultimately, toward recovery.” In addition to Cumberbatch, Patrick Melrose also features Hugo Weaving and Jennifer Jason Leigh. That’s a pretty damn impressive cast. You can watch a teaser for the series above, and see a poster below Patrick Melrose arrives on Showtime May 12, 2018.
Jordan Peele is producing a documentary series about Lorena Bobbitt for Amazon. Those are words I never expected to write or see, but life is weird. For those of you who might have forgotten (or might be too young to remember), Lorena Bobbitt made national headlines after cutting off the penis of her allegedly abusive husband John Wayne Bobbitt. “When we hear the name ‘Bobbitt’ we think of one of the most sensational incidents to ever be catapulted into a full blown media spectacle. With this project, Lorena has a platform to tell her truth as well as engage in a critical conversation about gender dynamics, abuse, and her demand for justice. This is Lorena’s story and we’re honored to help her tell it,” said Peele. The series, titled Lorena, is timed to the 25th anniversary of the case.
Another day, another project for Tiffany Haddish. Variety reports Haddish will produce a new comedy series for HBO titled Unsubscribed. The show is described as an “examination of female blackness, beauty, and identity through a behind-the-scenes look at the Instagram hustle.” Haddish rose to fame after a breakout performance in last year’s Girl’s Trip. Since then, she’s landed several high-profile gigs, including The Lego Movie 2 and the film The Kitchen.
Preacher is ending with season 3, which I suppose is a good thing, because I’m not sure many people watch it anymore. The AMC adaptation of the comic is okay, but it just can’t capture the madness of the graphic novel. No matter. The series will return for its final season on June 24, 2018. Ahead of the series return, three new images have been released. The first one can be seen above, featuring Ruth Negga. The other two are below.
In Season 3, Jesse Custer’s quest for God takes him back to the place he’s been avoiding his whole life: home. Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find old grudges and deadly obligations await them. With the help of his friends – and a few enemies – Jesse will need to escape his past… because the future of the world depends on it.
The Handmaid’s Tale is returning for its second season this month. Ahead of that return to Hulu, here’s the poster for the new season, which shows Elisabeth Moss looking suitably intense. The second season will begin to divert from Margaret Atwood‘s source material, so who knows what’s going to happen when the show returns on April 25, 2018.
Based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood, this series is set in Gilead, a totalitarian society in what used to be part of the United States. Gilead is ruled by a fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state, and is faced with environmental disasters and a plummeting birth rate. In a desperate attempt to repopulate a devastated world, the few remaining fertile women are forced into sexual servitude. One of these women, Offred, is determined to survive the terrifying world she lives in, and find the daughter that was taken from her.
