Netflix has some big news — literally! — for WWE fans.

Pro wrestler Paul Wight, better known by his stage name The Big Show, will star in a freshly ordered family comedy series, the streamer announced Tuesday.

Appropriately titled The Big Show Show, the half-hour sitcom will focus on a fictionalized version of the WWE star, who quickly becomes outnumbered and outsmarted after his teenage daughter comes to live with him, his wife and two other daughters. “Despite being seven feet tall and weighing 400 pounds,” the show’s description reads, “he is no longer the center of attention.”

Allison Munn (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn), Reylynn Caster (American Housewife), Juliet Donenfeld (Pete the Cat) and relative newcomer Lily Brooks O’Briant round out the cast as The Big Show’s wife and three children. Josh Bycel (Happy Endings) and Jason Berger (LA to Vegas) will serve as executive producers and showrunners.

Though The Big Show is best known for his wrestling, he also has a career as an actor, with TV credits including Happy!, Psych and Burn Notice.

Boris Johnson should be sacked as Britain’s foreign secretary over his response to the Skripal poisoning, political commentator John Wight told RT.

Gaffe-prone Johnson is being accused of misleading the public after he stated he had been told in “categorical” terms by Porton Down scientists that there was “no doubt” Russia was the source of the nerve agent used in the Salisbury poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia. It follows the UK defense laboratory at Porton Down, which is on the outskirts of Salisbury, announcing on Tuesday that it has been unable to confirm the “precise source” of the Novichok nerve agent that was used in the incident.

The Foreign Office has now been forced to admit that it deleted a tweet dating back to March 22, which again contained claims of Porton Down having proof of Russia’s involvement.

Speaking to RT from Edinburgh, Wight noted that while Johnson did not hold back from squarely blaming Russia over the attack, he has now gone “conspicuously quiet.”

“It’s all gone quiet where Boris Johnson and [Defence Secretary] Gavin Williamson are concerned,” Wight said. They are now trying to perpetuate the idea that “this change [Porton Down announcement] is nothing, but in fact this change is everything,” he said.

“And one of the things that should change or should’ve changed by now is the employment status of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. He should have fallen on his sword long before now and if we’d had a fourth estate worthy of the category of independent media they would have been clamoring for his resignation.

“But as it is they’ve been complicit, if not key, in shaping this anti-Russia narrative, the weaponing-up of 19th century Russophobic tropes and this mass hysteria, up to and including war fever. This has brought the entire media and political establishment into disrepute.”

Johnson’s approach was criticized by members of the opposition, including Diane Abbott, the shadow home secretary, who said: “It seems Boris Johnson misled the public when he claimed that Porton Down officials confirmed to him that Russia was the source of the nerve agent used in the Salisbury attack.

“Those officials have made it clear they cannot identify its source, and are not able to definitively say it came from Russia or elsewhere,” she said, according to the Independent.

“Boris Johnson is supposed to represent Britain on the world stage, but time and again he has shown he is unable to do so responsibly.”

As we took our seats on the ferry, that magical holiday feeling kicked in.

Perhaps it was the view across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight or the fact the little ones were just as entertained as the grown-ups, but the 40-minute journey from Portsmouth to Fishbourne passed far too quickly.

She once described it as “like a little Paradise… It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot”.

You can also visit the Swiss Cottage, set within its gardens, a chalet-style Wendy house erected by Prince Albert in 1854 for his offspring. Children will love the fancy-dress selection, interactive games and puzzles housed in it and be intrigued by the royal children’s extensive collection of natural history curios, including stuffed animals and fossils.

Poignantly, you can also visit the room where Queen Victoria died in 1901.

On another day, we ventured out west to Tapnell Farm.

Our toddler loved the new Play Barn with its soft play and life-sized cow-shaped blackboards with chalk, while we all enjoyed an exhilarating bounce on the giant Jumping Pillow and took countless photos of the “Art Herd”, an eye-popping collection of colourful life-size cow models, decorated by local businesses or, in Level Forty Moo’s case, in tribute to one of the island’s most famous bands.

The theme extends to the Cow Co restaurant (01983 758725/ thecowco.com) – a wittily decorated rustic former barn with full-sized models of cows and fur throws on the chairs.

Obviously, the menu is meat-heavy but you cannot beat the steak and ale pie or Big Smoke Burger. Our son wolfed down macaroni cheese from a children’s varied “Calves Menu”.

We loved walking with alpacas (01983 760900/westwightalpacas.co.uk) on a farm in Wellow and our son enjoyed feeding them carrots while their handler gave us a potted history of these unusual-looking animals and their award-winning fleece.

The average price for a fleece is £350. For those with a creative streak, at Chessell Pottery Barns (01983 531248/chessellpotterybarns.co.uk) you can paint anything from an egg cup to a piggy bank or a large Emma Bridgewater dish and our toddler thoroughly enjoyed making a pig’s ear of his ceramic octopus.

We had our own table and there was an in-house potter who was on hand with advice and ideas while sliding trays of handmade pots and vessels in and out of the kiln .

The fantastic cafe served a melt-in-the-mouth frittata so delicious we returned the next day for more. If you thought a passion for trains was the preserve of train-spotters, think again as the Isle Of Wight Steam Railway (01983 882204/iwsteamrailway.co.uk) will whisk you on an evocative trip back in time.

Starting from Havenstreet, this atmospheric ride through the countryside takes place in carriages that are meticulously restored along with station dating back to 1926.

Havenstreet station also offers a playground, library, gift shop, cafe and a Heritage Lottery-funded Carriage & Wagon Workshop where you can watch engineers restoring decrepit trains.

Next door is an absorbing museum where you can sit in the seat graced by the Queen when she visited in 1994 or learn how the island’s steam trains were rescued from Dr Beeching’s brutal 1960s cuts by determined teenagers.

Here, children can stoke their own fire by pouring fake coals on a glowing engine “fire”. We couldn’t wait to explore more of the island so headed to the beautiful historic port town of Yarmouth for our last night.

We stayed at The West Bay Country Club & Spa.

Accommodation, set in 15 acres, ranges from small cottages to large modern houses.

There is a clubhouse and a gym, plus plenty of activities on site should you not fancy venturing too far. As the spa proves, it is not all about entertaining the little ones on the Isle of Wight.

Yarmouth Castle (0370 333 1181/ english-heritage.org.uk) is worth a visit and we clambered up steps to explore its upper floor and roam around the outdoor space with its cannon.

The castle was the last addition to Henry VIII’s coastal defences. The king would surely have approved of the menu at The George (01983 760331/thegeorge.co.uk) whose dining room is situated in the conservatory abutted by the castle and boasts irresistible views across the Solent.

We enjoyed the most memorable meal of the week here as we feasted on ham hock pressing with piccalilli followed by Jerusalem artichoke pappardelle.

We eased the gloom of leaving the island by spending the journey home planning our return. This irresistibly charming place offers such a diverse selection of fun activities that we barely scratched the surface.
