CamSoda, an adult entertainment platform, announced a new product this week that aims to satisfy you in a number of ways. The RubGrub is a 3D-printed button attachment made to fit on a Lovense Nora vibrator. You can snag the RubGrub alone for $ 20 or buy it with a Nora for $ 120.

While RubGrub was developed in collaboration with Lovense, Domino’s appears to have had nothing to do with it. The company told Fox News earlier this week, “This is news to us. We have not worked with this company, nor have we authorized them to use our name in conjunction with their ‘toy.'”

Way back when, Dutch teledildonic startup Kiiroo launched a pair of devices that let you have sex from opposite ends of the internet. Last year, the company teamed up with Fleshlight to produce the Launch, a connected male masturbator. Now, Kiiroo and OhMiBod have leapt into bed to produce the Fuse, a connected vibrator. The beefy, rabbit-style vibe will do everything that Kiiroo’s other products will do, and the hope is that it’ll also erase all the bad memories of the Pearl in the process. It’s likely that webcam performers will also embrace the gear for a replacement for its underpowered predecessor.

The Fuse, like the Pearl, has a touch-control surface on the outside that can be paired with other devices. But also the company believes that the device will be pleasurable enough that users will want to employ it on its own. And, much like so many other Kiiroo products, Fuse will sync with online video and VR content. It’s one of a handful of female-focused pleasure products we’ve seen that can do such a thing, as well.

The OhMiBod / Kiiroo Fuse is available to buy on both company websites for $ 149 and we’ll bring you more details on the device in due course.

A Canadian sex-toy manufacturer has agreed to pay US$ 3 million (CAD$ 4 million) to customers for collecting data relating to their sexual habits without their consent.

The settlement is the result of a class action lawsuit filed against Standard Innovation, the company behind the We-Vibe 4 Plus vibrator, last September in Illinois by a Chicago area plaintiff who claimed the company gathered data on customers, including app settings.

Standard Innovation will have to pay up to US$ 7400 to each customer who used the We-Vibe 4 Plus app, while those who purchased the sex toy but didn’t use the app will be entitled to US$ 148.

The bluetooth enabled vibrator allows the sex-toy to be controlled remotely and is described on its website as enabling couples to “connect in new, exciting ways — whether they’re in the same room or on a different continent. Push play.”

What was not advertised, however, was the fact that the Canadian company collected intimate personal data on customers without their knowledge. The collected data was sent back to Standard Innovation, informing the company about how often the devices were used and for how long, as well as the device’s temperature and vibration intensity.

The device was also vulnerable to hacking meaning that an unknown entity could remotely activate the device once within the bluetooth range. Security concerns about We-Vibe 4 were first revealed at the DEF CON hacking conference in Las Vegas last year.

At the conference, New Zealand based hackers ‘Goldfisk’ and ‘Follower’ argued that an unwanted takeover of the device could potentially result in a sexual assault.

“We are pleased to have reached a fair and reasonable settlement in this matter,” the company said in a statement to Fortune. “At Standard Innovation we take customer privacy and data security seriously. We have enhanced our privacy notice, increased app security, provided customers more choice in the data they share, and we continue to work with leading privacy and security experts to enhance the app.”

Whether customers will be willing to consensually share their intimate data with the company in the future has yet to be determined.

Think twice about connecting those sex toys to the Internet: A vibrator company has agreed to pay up to $ 10,000 to U.S. customers who used a smartphone app that relayed their data to the firm’s server.

In a settlement filed Thursday in Chicago federal court, the Canadian company called We-Vibe agreed to pay $ 5 million CDN (about $ 3.75 million) to resolve privacy claims regarding “adult sensual lifestyle products” that transmitted customer data.

The toys in question, with names like “We-Vibe Sync,” are designed to be used by couples, allowing one partner to control the devices via Bluetooth and a smartphone app.

Security researchers, however, discovered the company was also using the smart phone app to harvest data about how customers used the vibrators. The apps collected information such as what temperature and intensity settings the owners used, as well as how often they used the toys.

While We-Vibe stressed that no customer data was hacked by outside parties, the data collection nonetheless led two customers to file a class action lawsuit against the company. Given the very personal information involved, the court allowed the customers—known only as “NP” and “PS”—to proceed anonymously.

In a curious twist to the settlement, the process creates two potentials ways for customers to collect: those who attest they used the app to control the vibrator, and who provide their name and phone number and other details as part of the claim process, will get up to $ 10,000. Meanwhile, those who simply purchased a We-Vibe connected device will receive up to $ 199.

A spokesperson for We-Vibe’s parent company, Standard Innovation, provided the following statement to Fortune.

“We are pleased to have reached a fair and reasonable settlement in this matter. At Standard Innovation we take customer privacy and data security seriously. We have enhanced our privacy notice, increased app security, provided customers more choice in the data they share, and we continue to work with leading privacy and security experts to enhance the app.”

While the lawsuit will result in We-Vibe tightening its privacy standards, the incident may leave many consumers wondering about the advisability of Internet-connected sex toys in the first place.
