Harry, 71, managed to beat fellow finalists John Barrowman, 51, and Emily Atack, 28, to be crowned winner of this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! During his three week stint, Harry was reluctant to indulge in the dinner’s the celebrities won in the Bushtucker Trials, stating he preferred traditional English food. On many occasions, Harry said he was desperate to have some Jam Roly Poly and the former football manager was given the chance to enjoy the dessert after completing his final Bushtucker Trial last night. However, Harry caused outraged among fans of the ITV reality show when he chose Sticky Toffee Pudding to eat as part of his final meal. Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “A bit gutted that Harry didn’t choose jam roly poly.” Another added: “Hope there’s a jam roly poly waiting for Harry when he walks across that bridge #ImACeleb.” Whilst a third commented: “Hazza what a let down. Where is the jam roly poly #ImACeleb?” A fourth exclaimed: “Can’t believe Harry didn’t order jam roly poly after banging in about it for the last three weeks. I’m disappointed #ImACeleb.” However, Harry still managed to win viewers round as he took the crown from last year’s winner, Georgia Toffolo, 24. To get his hands on the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Harry had to face his worst fears as he was locked in a cage full of rats as well as other jungle critters. Although he tried his best, the former football manager had to be pulled out mid-way through the Bushtucker Trial as a bug had burrowed its way into his ear. Medic Bob made the call and Harry’s premature withdrawal from the Trial left Holly Willoughby, 37, in tears as she praised the I’m A Celebrity star. Holly began to cry once again during Harry’s winning interview as he discussed his love with wife Sandra Redknapp, who he has spoken about many times in the jungle. After watching a montage of him speaking about his wife, both Harry and Holly were overcome with emotion. “There was one person who was star of the show, but wasn’t actually on the show and that was Sandra and you spoke about her a lot in there,” Holly told the winner. After revealing Harry and Sandra had been married for 54 years, Dec Donnelly, 43, went on to question the football star about coping without her. Harry said: “Very difficult, very difficult. Yes, it wasn’t easy.” Composing herself, Holly commented: “Do you think being in there has made you a little bit more independent in some ways?” The new king of the jungle said: “No I think I’ll still be shouting out ‘Sand’.” Following the discussion of his three week stint, Harry was then given his crown before being reunited with his beloved wife. Vasek Pospisil advanced to the third round of the European Open tennis tournament with a 7-6 (3), 7-5 upset of fellow Canadian Milos Raonic on Wednesday. Pospisil, form Vancouver, beat his hard-serving opponent at his own game, firing 11 aces to Raonic's nine and converting 84 per cent of available first serve points. Pospisil will next face the winner of an all-French matchup between Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the next round. It's Pospisil's first career win over Raonic, who is ranked 20th in the world and was seeded third at the tournament in Antwerp, Belgium. Raonic, from Thornhill, Ont., won the previous two meetings between the Canadians, including a semifinal victory at the 2013 Rogers Cup in Montreal. It was the second all-Canadian matchup of the day after Denis Shapovalov of Richmond Hill, Ont., defeated Thornhill's Peter Polansky 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 at the Stockholm Open. Shapovalov, seeded seventh in Stockholm, will next face Ernests Gulbis of Latvia in the third round. On the WTA Tour, qualifier Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que., played one of her best matches in recent memory, downing third seed Carla Suarez Navarro 6-1, 6-0 at the Luxembourg Open. Bouchard will face Andrea Petkovic of Germany in the third round in a battle of former top-10 players. Canadian teenager Taylor Ruck defeated American star Katie Ledecky as she won gold and set a new meet record in the women's 200-metre freestyle event on the opening day of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Tokyo. It also bettered the winning time of 1:54.81 Ruck swam at April's Commonwealth Games in Australia, where she captured eight medals. Ledecky finished third Thursday in 1:55.15. She's the reigning Olympic champion in the 200 free, though it's probably the weakest race for the five-time Olympic gold medallist. Japan's Ikee Rikako placed second in 1:54.85. CBC Sports swimming analyst Byron MacDonald called it a "big win" for Ruck, even though Ledecky may not have been at her best on a day when she had to compete in two different races. "Anytime you beat the best female swimmer in the world… it's a huge step forward," MacDonald said. "Ledecky is almost a mythical figure in the sport of swimming. She has only lost one race in major meets in six years. She has oodles of world records. "No matter what the circumstances are, it is still a chip in the armour. It shows that Ledecky can be beat." Ruck, 18, said she had to calm herself down as she prepared to face Ledecky. "It's the name, I guess, because she is the fastest woman on the planet in a lot of races," said Ruck, who was born in Kelowna, B.C. "My coach kind of saw that, so he told me to focus on my lane and my race." It wasn't a lost day for Ledecky, who took the 800 in 8:09.13 — the fifth fastest on record — and will be the favourite in the 400 during the four-day event in Tokyo, the biggest meet of the year for most swimmers around the Pacific Rim. "I knew it was going to be tough," Ledecky said. "It's a tough double. I've done it a number of times, but it's always a difficult thing. I really put a lot of work into not having that happen again. But I still have two more years to go until the big show here in Tokyo." This year's Pan Pacs come two years out from the Tokyo Olympics. The meet features world swimming powers Australia and the United States and also includes other non-European countries such as Canada, Japan, China and several others. Canadian backstroke star Kylie Masse is also competing at the Pan Pacs. Penny Oleksiak opted to skip the meet. CBCSports.ca's live streaming coverage continues Friday at 5:35 a.m. ET and runs through the end of the meet on Sunday. Canada's Aurélie Rivard won gold and broke her own world record in the women's 400-metre freestyle S10 event at the Pan Pacific Para-Swimming Championships, which got underway Thursday in Cairns, Australia. "It was a near-perfect race and I'm really happy with the result, especially technically speaking," said Rivard, who came in as the defending champion. With 89 percent of precincts reporting, Jones was declared the winner with 49.6 percent of the vote, compared to Moore’s 48.8 percent, according to the Associated Press.
Democrats will feel momentum after winning such a close race in a deep red state. Last year, Democrat Hillary Clinton lost to then-candidate Donald Trump by 28 points. Jones is the first Democrat elected to the Senate in Alabama since 1992, when Senator Richard Shelby won his seat. Shelby has since re-registered with the Republican Party.
Jones’ win represents a clean sweep of elections in the state of Alabama for the Democratic Party this year, as he will now take over Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ former post. His win also brings Democrats a step closer to their goal of winning back the US Senate majority next year, as the Republican majority in that chamber has now been reduced down to one seat.
Jones began using the accusations against Moore in the race for the Senate seat. Sexual misconduct or assault accusations against Moore started to flood in from a total of nine women, while seven of the women claimed Moore sexually assaulted, harassed or had a relationship with them when they were teenagers, and Moore was in his 30’s.
During the campaign, Jones received support from high profile Democrats such as former President Barack Obama and Senator Cory Booker (D-New Jersey).
Controversy surrounding Jones’ challenger, Moore, dates back to his days as chief justice in Alabama in 2001, when Moore hung a homemade Ten Commandments plaque on his court room’s wall. Defendants in the courtroom eventually issued complaints about the plaque, and also took issue with Moore’s decision to begin court sessions with prayer, according to Alabama Media Group.
Moore did not comply with the orders, although, after lawsuits were filed on behalf of three lawyers against the plaque, in 2003, a federal court order forced its removal from Moore’s courtroom. That same year, the Alabama Court of the Judiciary unanimously ordered Moored to be removed from his position as chief justice, Alabama Media Group reported.

Cathy Overton-Clapham has played in almost every major competition over her Hall of Fame curling career.
An 8-4 win over Rachel Homan in the opening game of a qualifier for the Olympics — the one event missing from her glowing resume — brought on the butterflies like never before.
“It was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been to play a game,” Overton-Clapham said. “I don’t know why. The big arena, I haven’t played in [one] for years. I’ve played in arenas but not this size.
“Just knowing that this is probably my last Trials, I just want to come out here and play the best I can this week.”
Overton-Clapham joined skip Chelsea Carey’s team earlier this year after Amy Nixon’s retirement. The Carey rink, which includes lead Laine Peters and second Jocelyn Peterman, shot 83 per cent in Saturday’s victory.
Carey, from Calgary, drew to the four-foot to score a pair in the eighth and added a single in the ninth. It was the round-robin opener for both teams at the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings.
“We were able to make the big shot when we needed to,” Carey said. “Kind of that jump shot in an end that really turned it around for us.”
This @TeamCareyCurl out of the Glencoe Club in Calgary has been impressive today. Brought in Cathy O for veteran presence. Leading Homan 8-4 in the 10th #cbccurl
It was a disappointing start for Homan, who had most of the 5,774 spectators in the 17,000-seat venue on her side.
“Someone has got to win, someone has got to lose,” she said. “It was one game. It’s the first of a long week.”
Overton-Clapham, 48, has won five Scotties Tournament of Hearts titles (1995 with Connie Laliberte and in 2005, ’08, ’09, ’10 with Jennifer Jones) and won a world championship in 2008. Her last appearance at the Olympic Trials was in 2009 with Jones.
Homan, meanwhile, is the reigning national and world champion. She shot just 71 per cent on the day while Carey, the 2016 Scotties champ, finished at 91 per cent.
“One thing you will see with this team is that they get better as the event goes on,” said Team Homan coach Adam Kingsbury. “We’ve just got to make sure that you don’t get in a hole too early. But I’m not concerned in the slightest — not yet anyway.”
In other early games, Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., topped John Morris of Vernon, B.C., 5-3 and Calgary’s Kevin Koe posted a 6-3 win over Steve Laycock of Saskatoon.
Casey Scheidegger of Lethbridge, Alta., scored a single in the 10th end for a 6-5 victory over Toronto’s Allison Flaxey.
In the evening draw, Jones came back for a 9-6 win over Edmonton’s Val Sweeting and Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay, Ont., defeated Winnipeg’s Michelle Englot 9-4.
Match Wrap: Brad Jacobs opens Roar of the Rings with a win1:05
Mike McEwen downed fellow Winnipeg skip Reid Carruthers 7-3 and Toronto’s John Epping stole one in the 10th end for a 6-4 win over Brad Gushue of St. John’s, N.L.
“I’m just a little bit mindblown that we imploded like that in the last end,” Gushue said.
Round-robin play continues through Friday. The top three teams will make the playoffs.
The second- and third-place teams will play in the semifinals on Dec. 9 for a berth in the finals a day later against the first-place rinks.
The winning teams will represent Canada at the Feb. 9-25 PyeongChang Olympics.
Jones, from Winnipeg, won the women’s title and Jacobs took the men’s crown at the 2013 Trials. Both teams went on to win gold at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Advocates of the ‘trigger warnings’ – alerting readers to potentially distressing material – say they protect people from the possibility of being upset, while critics argue that they curtail academic freedom.
Assuming both innocence and lack of knowledge of the bard’s most famous works, lecturers at Cambridge University have introduced the warnings for “potentially distressing topics.”
English-literature undergraduates were apparently cautioned before a lecture on Titus Andronicus and The Comedy of Errors. According to insiders at the top university, warnings were posted in the English Faculty’s ‘Notes on Lectures’ document.
Not everyone is impressed by the move.
“If a student of English Literature doesn’t know that Titus Andronicus contains scenes of violence, they shouldn’t be on the course,” David Crilly, artistic director at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival, told the Telegraph.
“This degree of sensitivity will inevitably curtail academic freedom. If the academic staff are concerned they might say something students find uncomfortable they will avoid doing it.”
Critics have called the warnings “fundamentally dishonest.”
“We have to encourage students to be able to face that, even when they find they’re awkward and difficult for all kinds of good reasons,” Mary Beard, a Professor of Classics at Cambridge, previously said.
Cambridge University denied having a trigger-warning policy.
“Some lecturers indicate that some sensitive material will be covered in a lecture by informing the English Faculty Admin staff,” a spokesman told The Times.
“This is entirely at the lecturer’s own discretion and is in no way indicative of a Faculty wide policy.”

Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard advanced to the second round of the Citi Open on Wednesday with a 7-6 (6), 6-0 win over eighth seed Christina McHale.
What appeared to be a tough matchup for Bouchard after a tightly contested first set unravelled, as Bouchard converted three of her six break point opportunities while not facing break point herself in the second set.
Bouchard, from Westmount, Que., wrapped up the match in one hour and 38 minutes to set up a second-round meeting with another American, Sloane Stephens.
Men’s third seed Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., faced France’s Nicolas Mahut later Wednesday.
In women’s doubles action, Bianca Andreescu of Mississauga, Ont., and American partner Louisa Chirico defeated the American team of Kaitlyn Christian and Desirae Krawczyk 6-3, 7-6 (5).

16th-ranked Gilles Muller upset fourth-ranked Rafael Nadal in Wimbledon on Monday in the longest match of the tournament this year.
The 34-year-old Muller of Luxembourg went up two sets on Nadal before Nadal clawed back to force a fifth set.
The fifth and final set was a marathon, as Muller and Nadal went back and forth for over an hour. Muller eventually pulled it out, 15-13. In total, the match lasted four hours and 47 minutes.
In the final set, both players held serve, with Muller at several times getting to match point, only to have a feisty Nadal stave off elimination. While Muller hit big shots with his left hand, he also was suffered from several unforced errors while Nadal hit several dazzling returns, much to the delight of the Nadal-tilted crowd.
After the match, Muller said, “I feel tired! It was a long match … When I had these last two match points I just thought, give it a shot. It’s a great feeling winning that match. I haven’t really realized what just happened to be honest.”
Here was the match-winning point:
And while the fifth set did not feature many particularly long rallies, the two players went at it early in the match. Nadal’s shot-making and Muller’s length both proved difficult obstacles for the other.
Muller will now take on Marin Cilic in the quarterfinals.

Canada recovered after losing the first set to upset Croatia 3-1 (23-25, 25-11, 25-11, 25-18) in the first-ever meeting between the two teams in the history of the FIVB World Grand Prix.

Calgary native Alexa Gray led all players with 25 points and now sits atop the tournament’s scoring race with 54 points.
“We still have some problems with the start of the matches, as it happened yesterday. Luckily today we changed and we started to play better,” Canada’s coach Marcello Abbondanza told www.fivb.com.
“Alexa Gray is so important for this team because she’s a very good player even if [she] is not [in] her [natural] position. We ended a great weekend, this [is] the first time we got two victories on the Grand Prix consecutively and that is one more step in our growth. I’m so happy for the girls.”
With today’s match in the books, Canada equalled their record number of wins in a single World Grand Prix campaign.
“I think we made a lot of improvements this weekend. It’s good to see that we can get better and if the team needs me as an opposite or outside hitter, I’m here for everything the coach wants,” Gray said.
“In the past four years, we only won one match on each weekend, so this is a huge record for team Canada. I’m so excited for the upcoming weekends, to keep rolling and growing.”
Kyla Richey was the next highest scoring Canadian in the match adding 19 points in the victory while Katarina Luketić and Lucija Mlinar had 13 and 11 points respectively in a losing effort.
The Canadians bounced back after being shutout by Poland (25-22, 25-9, 25-23) in their previous match.

Canada loses to Poland at volleyball World Grand Prix1:10
Poland got off to a great start in the opening set, taking a commanding 9-2 lead. The Canadians gradually closed the gap getting within 2 points at 23-21 before a service error from the Canucks handed the set to Poland, 25-22
The European side carried a wave of momentum into the second set, dominating Canada from start to finish to win the second set, 25-9.
The two teams engaged in a tight third set. With the score tied at 11, the pressure mounted on Canada as Poland built a four-point lead by the second technical time-out.
The Canadians answered the ball fighting back to knot the set up at 19.
But despite their valiant effort, it was two consecutive unforced errors later in the set that cost Canada the match as Poland capitalized to take the final set, 25-23.

“The Battle of Brisbane” was supposed to be a walkover for Manny Pacquiao, a potential tune-up for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, but Jeff Horn — and the judges — had another idea.
Horn came out swinging, literally, and announced his presence with authority. But after going toe to toe with Pacquiao for eight rounds, he got battered, bruised, and bloodied in the ninth round and seemed to lose all momentum towards the end of the fight.
Just when it looked like Pacquiao was going to win an easy decision, the judges took over and gave the hometown fighter the nod.
Just listen to the shock in the announcers voices as Horn is announced as the winner.
Horn was clearly in the fight early on, as Pacquiao was bloodied early on. But then came the ninth round and Horn barely got out of it alive.
In fact, the referee warned Horn after the round that he was inclined to call the fight, telling Horn, “I think you’ve had enough.”
But Horn stayed in the fight and hung around long enough to get the home-town decision.
