This month alone, police arrested two men and one woman on charges of tweeting comments that were allegedly insulting to Sultan Muhammed V after he abdicated as the country’s ruler on January 6.

Michael broke down in tears on Stand Up To Cancer last night on Channel 4. Speaking to James ” when Noah was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two.

The youngster underwent chemotherapy and is now in recovery.

However, following the heartbreaking segment, mistakenly tweeted his son had died, prompting an uproar from viewers.

In a tweet which was immediately deleted, they wrote: “Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we’ve ever watched.

“Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story! Please PLEASE keep donating and help us #StandUpToCancer.”

Those tuning into the Channel 4 special were quick to slam the broadcaster for their error and demanded it be changed.

One Twitter user replied: “Noah is alive and well – get the tweet changed.”

Another added: “His son didn’t die. Come on @Channel4 you need to change this.”

“His son is alive, isn’t he?” a third asked.

Express.co.uk has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

During the Carpool Karaoke segment, he told James: “Well, I mean, it’s so hard to have to acknowledge it because it’s so painful to talk about it.

“But we got the diagnosis, and that was it. My whole life ended.

“He was three. Listen, it was not good. At first, it was… It’s too hard to talk about.”

The 43-year-old continued: “Basically, they said it wasn’t great, and we just took it day by day.

“My sister’s, my wife’s family, they all took their kids out of school, and we just had the best doctors. And God, thank you, Jesus Christ.”

Michael went on to reveal he supported his wife throughout the ordeal but now she “lifts him up”.

“My wife, honestly, when this all started, I became the strength to pull us up and lift us to be positive,” he explained.

“When we got the chemo out, I just, just fell. I fell, and now my wife lifts me up now.”

Last night’s Stand Up To Cancer raised a total of £24.6 million for fund cancer research.

Twitter’s spam bot issue isn’t new, but it came to a head when it was revealed that thousands of Russian troll accounts used the platform to influence the 2016 Presidential elections. Now, the company has announced a set of changes and new developer guidelines meant to fight off automated actions and to make it harder for “tweetdeckers” to flood the social network. Starting on March 23rd, 2018, apps will need to be able to prevent bulk tweeting or face “enforcement action, up to and including the suspension of associated applications and accounts.”

Twitter has always had anti-spam rules, but its new guidelines clarify what is and isn’t allowed on the website. According to those guidelines, apps shouldn’t permit a user to tweet out the same content or a substantially similar one to multiple accounts. In addition, they shouldn’t allow people to use several accounts to like or retweet a post and to follow a user all at the same time. To prevent bot tweets from going viral, Twitter is also banning apps that can be used to post identical content with a specific hashtag across multiple accounts. Users aren’t allowed to post multiple updates to a trending topic with the intent of inflating its prominence, as well.

The platform is updating Tweetdeck to reflect the new guidance and to show that it’s serious in implementing its rules. Tweetdeck users will no longer be able to bulk tweet, retweet, like or follow using several accounts at the same time. Back in January, Buzzfeed shed light on a practice called “tweetdecking,” wherein users tweet out content across multiple popular accounts added to their Tweetdeck in exchange for payment. Ever seen several famous Twitter accounts tweet the exact same thing? That’s the result of tweetdecking. This update will make it harder to use the dashboard as a tool for their moneymaking scheme and will hopefully prevent the same tweet from appearing on your timeline again and again and again.

What some see as an overzealous and extremely reckless use of social media by a man in his position, Trump argues it is his only means of protection against mainstream media slurs.

“If I don’t have that form of communication I can’t defend myself,” he argued. “I get a lot of fake news, a lot of news that is very false or made up.”

Addressing concerns about his health, consistently raised by his fierce opponents, Trump reiterated he is a perfect fit for the job, both mentally and physically.

“I am a stable genius,” he said, doubling down on his previous claim on Twitter that a simple “smart” is an epithet too weak to describe his intelligence. “I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius … and a very stable genius at that!” he wrote in a series of Tweets on January, 6.

Despite widespread speculation that the real reason behind Trump’s decision to snub the grand opening of the new US embassy in London is because he fears the planned mass protests and ensuing security issues, Trump told Morgan he believes he is “very popular” in the UK.

“I get so much fan mail from people in your country, they love my sense of security and what I’m saying about many different things,” he said.

As for the chances of him coming to Britain this year, Trump revealed he has already been invited by the UK PM. “Yeah. I’ll be there. She [Theresa May] just invited me. Twice. State and working. One is a State, October,” Trump said, noting however that no fixed date has been set.

Defending his record on women, Trump made an unexpected link between women’s issues and his belief in a strong military.

“There’s nobody better than me on the military … I think women really like that. I think they want to be safe at home,” he said, reiterating that although he is not a feminist, he has “tremendous respect for women.”

The Royal Navy has revamped one of the most famous wartime propaganda slogans to warn its sailors to be careful what they tweet.

It issued an updated version of the 1943 “loose lips sink ships” poster, tweaked to refer to social media instead, and featuring the new HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier going down in flames.

The message was posted on Twitter Thursday morning by the official account of HMS Queen Elizabeth, along with a reminder that “OPSEC [operational security] isn’t a dirty word!”

As the images above show, the new, Royal Navy-branded poster is an homage to a well-known 1943 propaganda poster distributed by the United States Office of War Information.

Instead of the 40s-style battleship shown sinking in the original poster, the 2018 version shows the Royal Navy’s new Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier, which is identifiable from the trademark “twin islands” design of its flight deck.

The message the poster is designed to convey is the same as in the ’40s, though the media are different.

In WWII, commanders were worried that people with access to military information could carelessly share it in conversation, which could eventually be picked up by hostile intelligence services and used against the US military.

Today, the concern is that sensitive information could inadvertently be posted in public by somebody on board who did not realise the significance of what they were sharing.

It’s easy to find images taken by people on board the ship on social media who tagged their location, though there’s nothing obvious in them to suggest they could risk the ship’s security.

Business Insider went aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth in December and spoke to sailors on board, including one who talked about social media.

Able Seaman Callum Hui, the youngest member of the ship’s company, said that he uses networks like Snapchat to post photos to his friends back home — but that there are sensitive areas on board he knows not to document.

In a statement to Business Insider, the Royal Navy declined to elaborate on the specific poster campaign, but said it was part of a “robust” operational security plan.

It said: “The Royal Navy takes operational and personal security very seriously and robust measures are in place to ensure the security of the ship and the ship’s company is not compromised.”
