Michael Cohen, a former attorney and fixer for former President Donald Trump, announced the line of t-shirts in a Twitter post.

  • Michael Cohen is selling t-shirts depicting Trump behind bars.
  • The shirt shows Trump in a jumpsuit with the words "Mar-a-Lago Correctional Facility" on its back.
  • Cohen said the shirts were meant to "celebrate the fall of the Mango Mussolini."

Michael Cohen, former President Donald Trump's one-time lawyer and personal fixer, is selling t-shirts to celebrate his former boss' legal troubles.

Cohen advertised the t-shirts in a post on Twitter, taking a dig at Trump.

"BREAKING: I am excited to announce my new Mar-a-Lardo clothing line during Milan Fashion Week as we celebrate the fall of the Mango Mussolini," Cohen wrote. "Yes, it's real, and you can get yours today."

The t-shirts, which go for $ 30 each, are being sold on the Meidas Touch store, an online shop run by a liberal super-PAC. The shirt itself depicts what appears to be Trump in handcuffs and wearing an orange prison jumpsuit with the words "Mar-a-Lago Correctional Facility" on its back.

Cohen and a representative at Trump's post-presidential press office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.

Cohen is known for having worked for Trump and acting as his fixer and confidante for a decade.

In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to felonies, including tax evasion, campaign finance violations, and bank fraud. He was sentenced in December that year to three years in prison and was disbarred in February 2019 by the New York Supreme Court.

Since his release in 2021, Cohen has been an outspoken Trump critic. Most recently, Cohen was jubilant about the former president's Mar-a-Lago residence being raided by the FBI in August.

He's also speculated about the identity of a possible FBI informant in Trump's camp and said he thought Trump was likely keeping classified documents at Mar-a-Lago as a "bargaining chip" to avoid jail time.

This week, Cohen mocked Trump's baseless claim that he could telepathically declassify top-secret documents.

"First he goes after the FBI, then he turns, and he wants to use the Jedi mind trick 'declassify we do!' I mean, this guy is out of his mind," Cohen quipped. "He's really, truly lost it."

Last month, Cohen also took credit for former Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg pleading guilty to tax fraud, saying that he had provided key evidence in the case.

Last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James also gave Cohen a shoutout while announcing her office's $ 250 million civil lawsuit against Trump and his adult children.

Cohen said he believed the ensuing New York probe would "ultimately terminate" the Trump Organization and that one or two of Trump's children might have to "fall on the sword" for their father.

‘Just stand’: Army vet launches t-shirts with ‘patriotic’ message for Kaepernick & Nike https://briefnews.eu/just-stand-army-vet-launches-t-shirts-with-patriotic-message-for-kaepernick-nike/ https://briefnews.eu/just-stand-army-vet-launches-t-shirts-with-patriotic-message-for-kaepernick-nike/#respond Sun, 09 Sep 2018 19:32:49 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/just-stand-army-vet-launches-t-shirts-with-patriotic-message-for-kaepernick-nike/

A clothing company founded by US veterans has responded to Nike’s collaboration with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick by launching a limited edition of ‘Just Stand’ t-shirts.

Nine Line Apparel introduced the new line in direct response to sports clothing brand Nike’s decision to use Kaepernick, who sparked a wave of hugely divisive NFL national anthem protests in 2016, as the new face of its iconic ‘Just Do It’ campaign.

Based in Savannah, Georgia, the company which describes itself as “relentlessly patriotic” is selling a range of ‘Just stand’ shirts for men, women and children. CEO Tyler Merritt told ‘Fox and Friends’ on Saturday that “they decided to take a stance. This is our stand.”

“It is absolutely absurd that Nike would feature Colin Kaepernick as the focus of their latest ad campaign. He has consistently disrespected our nation’s flag, values, and military by using the unifying moment of the singing of the national anthem to create political division,” Merritt told Savannah Now.

Merritt, who served multiple times in Iraq and Afghanistan, also took issue with the slogan accompanying Kaepernick’s ad – ”Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.”

“The word ‘sacrifice’ in the military members, it’s something severe,” he said.

The endorsement deal between Nike and Kaepernick has unsurprisingly proven controversial, prompting some to call for a boycott of the company’s products. Despite the backlash, Nike reported a 31-percent increase in online sales over Labor Day weekend compared to the same period last year.

Kaepernick made the decision to kneel during the national anthem at NFL games in 2016 to highlight police brutality and racial inequality in the US. However, many Americans branded the protest as disrespectful to the country and to those who have served in the military.

Kaepernick has been without a club since opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March of last year. He is currently taking a case against NFL owners over alleged collusion not to sign him due to his social activism.

The best men’s T-shirts you can buy https://briefnews.eu/the-best-mens-t-shirts-you-can-buy/ https://briefnews.eu/the-best-mens-t-shirts-you-can-buy/#respond Wed, 05 Sep 2018 18:35:47 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-best-mens-t-shirts-you-can-buy/ The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you’ll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

best t shirt for men

The Insider Pick:

  • In the past hundred years, the T-shirt has evolved from an unseen undergarment into one of the most popular and prominent articles of clothing a man wears.

  • The Buck Mason Pima Curved Hem Tee is our top pick because the shirt is comfortable, flattering, and made to last.

In the course of any given day, I go through an average of three T-shirts. Which might seem (and might be) excessive, but it will make sense if I lay things out for you. In the morning, after my son wakes me up with loving taps on my forehead sometime in the six o’clock hour, I slip on the T-shirt I was wearing right before bed the night prior and head downstairs for coffee and playtime and such. I’ll sometimes change into a different T-shirt when I get dressed for work, but as I work from home, usually I just put on real pants and step into my office.

Midday, I go for a run, during which I wear a shirt specifically designed for athletics and which we’re not featuring here. Most of my running shirts are great performance-wise but are about as stylish as neon Crocs. After exercising and showering, I put on another T-shirt which, depending on the shape of the rest of the day, may serve through to the next morning, or which may be replaced yet again.

So I own and wear a lot of T-shirts. If you’re looking to add a few fine T-shirts to your wardrobe, you’ve come to the right guy. Today, I’ve selected six of the best men’s T-shirts that are perfect for guys who treat this noble garment not as a layer, but as the grace note to the ensemble. Oh, and I also threw in one that is ideal for layering. And one that’s best suited to lazy days spent at home. And one that looks good enough to wear out to a coffee shop or bar but that’s also ready for an impromptu hike or pickup ball game.

One note before we start our odyssey: Except where a brand’s product name is specified otherwise, I’ll be using the term “T-shirt.” Not tee, not t shirt, but just T-shirt. After all, these garments are named for their T-shape, and they are shirts.

Here are the best T-shirts you can buy:

Read on in the slides below to check out our top picks.

The best men’s T-shirt overall

Buck Mason

Why you’ll love it: You can feel the quality of the Buck Mason Pima Curved Hem Tee the first time you put one on, and you’ll enjoy the shirt for years to come.

As the name suggests, the Buck Mason Pima Curved Hem Tee is made from 100% pima cotton. Pima is American cotton prized for its long fibers that allow for a tight, durable weave and that yield an amazing softness despite that durability.

Also as the name suggests, the hem of this shirt has a curved arc along the front and back that adds a bit of stylish accent, hides your stomach when you lift your hands, and helps keep the T-shirt in place should you ever tuck it in.

The Pima Curved Hem Tee comes in a dozen different colors, all of which are muted yet masculine. And it arrives pre-shrunk, so you should choose a size that will fit you well right out of the box. Oh and one more note: Not only is this Buck Mason shirt made with American cotton, but it’s made in America, too.

A writer with Time Magazine was effusive in his praise for Buck Mason T-shirts, saying they have a “perfect fit” and held up well even after repeated washings.

Pros: Comfortable from day one, well-made and durable, available in many colors

Cons: I haven’t found one yet, folks…

The best men’s T-shirt for casual comfort

Everlane

Why you’ll love it: The Everlane Cotton Crew is comfortable the first time you put it on, but even softer and more comfy the hundredth time.

To be honest, there’s nothing all that interesting about the appearance of the Everlane Cotton Crew T-shirt. Sure, it comes in 14 different solid colors and in a few two-color striped patterns as well, but the shirt’s cut, length, collar, and really all of its design elements are rather basic and certainly just what you’d expect from any good slim-fit T-shirt.

It’s how the Everlane Cotton Crew feels that sets this shirt apart. Made from a durable mid-weight cotton that softens over time, the more you wear and wash an Everlane T-shirt, the more comfortable it will get. As a go-to hang around the house or walk the dog shirt, there are few better options out there. And given how well these T-shirts hold up over time, the $ 20 price tag is more than fair.

One Everlane customer called his Cotton Crew a “great everyday shirt” that was comfortable and clearly of “great quality.” Another said he “loved the fit… and the feel” of the T-shirt, a garment he had grown to “treasure.”

A quick note to keep in mind for sizing: Some customers felt the shirt ran a bit too long.

Pros: Fabric softens over time, available in solid and stripes, good price point

Cons: Shirts run a bit long

The best men’s V-neck T-shirt

Mott & Bow

Why you’ll love it: The Mott & Bow V-Neck Driggs will fit most men to a T, if you’ll pardon the pun, thanks to the “not too slim, nor too loose” cut.

Finding a T-shirt that fits your body well, that both looks good and feels comfortable, can be a harrowing journey. Many T-shirts are too tight for one body type; some are too baggy for others. Few manage to suit myriad men’s torsos with a fit that’s flattering and comfortable, but into that narrow space marches the (still relatively) new line of T-shirts from Mott & Bow.

The V-Neck Driggs T-shirt has a cut the company describes as “not too slim, nor too loose,” and while I take issue with the company’s grammar (“neither too slim, nor too loose” or “not too slim, or too loose” for the record. Also, that comma is superfluous), I’m a fan of its wares.

The Mott & Bow V-Neck Driggs shirt is woven in Peru using cotton jersey fibers that give the garment a soft, flexible feel. It’s a great shirt to wear on days when you want to stay comfortable while active, such as when you’re traveling, touring a city, or spending a long evening with friends. And while $ 32 per shirt starts to edge out of my usual comfort zone for spending money on a T-shirt, these are worth it. They weather well.

Several writers and editors from Business Insider also tested out Mott & Bow T-shirts and found them “comfortable with a cool and lightweight feel” and durable in construction.

Pros: Cut fits many body types, preshrunk, soft and flexible feel

Cons: Slightly overpriced

Buy the Mott & Bow V-Neck Driggs T-Shirt for $ 32

Every geek needs two things to start the morning off right: a quality coffee mug and a fresh T-shirt. Fortunately, Ars Technica now sells both, so you can leap from your bed to confront the forces of file corruption, homeopathy, and state-sponsored malware in style with some sharp Ars Technica merch!

Long ago, when the Ars staff collectively had more hair, fewer graduate degrees, and no children, we first offered merch in the form of shirts, hoodies, and the infamous Ars sumo. Running the merch store then was a thankless job because it meant filling one’s garage with boxes of tiny foam wrestlers and XXL hoodies, along with making endless runs to the post office. As we expanded into the interstellar media empire that you know and love today, the leftover boxes of merch were quietly shot into the sun.

But we’ve always had a soft spot in our hearts for Ars logo shirts—and everyone needs a mug. So when Creative Director Aurich Lawson began batting around a few design ideas, the staff got excited. We hope you will, too.

Morbid and Hilarious T-Shirts Inspired by ’70s Designs https://briefnews.eu/morbid-and-hilarious-t-shirts-inspired-by-70s-designs/ https://briefnews.eu/morbid-and-hilarious-t-shirts-inspired-by-70s-designs/#respond Wed, 13 Sep 2017 16:09:28 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/morbid-and-hilarious-t-shirts-inspired-by-70s-designs/ Graphic designer Steven Rhodes, who we first learned about on Dangerous Minds, has a laundry list of inspirations that we can 100% get behind. His t-shirt creations look like a cross between ’70s psychedelia, vintage science-fiction book covers, a dash of old-school Frank Kozik, and some satanic mid-century twilight zone. Boasting text like “Let’s Sacrifice Toby,” the t-shirts are hilarious and weird, and feature smiling kids with large knives who don’t exactly hide their ulterior motives. It’s the kind of tongue-in-cheek humor that someone like David Lynch might appreciate — and in case you didn’t think Rhodes was on top of his game, he also sells Twin Peaks-inspired designs. T-shirts hinting at Nazi invasion on sale in Germany ahead of Russia 2018 World Cup https://briefnews.eu/t-shirts-hinting-at-nazi-invasion-on-sale-in-germany-ahead-of-russia-2018-world-cup/ https://briefnews.eu/t-shirts-hinting-at-nazi-invasion-on-sale-in-germany-ahead-of-russia-2018-world-cup/#respond Tue, 29 Aug 2017 17:01:26 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/t-shirts-hinting-at-nazi-invasion-on-sale-in-germany-ahead-of-russia-2018-world-cup/ Clothing with an apparent reference to the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II has gone on sale in a German online store ahead of the 2018 football World Cup in Russia. The description of the apparel says it’s designed for football fans.

German online store Shirtzshop.de offers various items of clothing adorned with images of two male profiles in helmets resembling those of the Wehrmacht – the army of Nazi Germany – and a slogan written in Gothic script which reads: “This time we come in summer.”

The print also features the dates of the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia, while the description says it’s a “football fan T-shirt design.”

Even though the Nazi army invaded the Soviet Union in summer – on June 22, 1941 – the battle for Moscow, one of the most strategically significant clashes of the war, took place between September 1941 and March 1942, with the German offensive being brought to a halt in early December.

Severe weather is believed to have aided the defenders of Moscow, as the Nazi army had to struggle with snowy roads and a lack of proper clothing. The slogan may therefore refer to that battle, although it is unclear.

“Items with such symbols and messages are considered discriminatory and will not be tolerated inside the stadiums,” FIFA spokesperson Thayssa Plum said in an emailed statement to RT.

Plum also referred to the FIFA Stadium Code of Conduct, which particularly notes
that “materials of an extremist, offensive, or discriminatory nature containing Nazi symbols or attributes, or attributes similar to Nazi symbols” are prohibited at matches.

“FIFA has a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and have mechanisms in place to ensure that the atmosphere in the stadiums is one of celebration and respect,” Plum said, adding that anti-discrimination measures have already been tested during the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this year.

“We are happy that the preventive measures implemented by FIFA and the member associations are proving effective and trust that the World Cup in Russia will take place in a spirit of unity, peace and friendship,” the statement said.

The store is registered in the German town of Halle and is owned by Sven Liebich, who was head of the local “Nazi-comradeship” until 2003, according to the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung news outlet. Liebich also reportedly took part in violent protests, but is believed to have then started presenting himself as a left-wing activist, having tried to join the German Left Party (Die Linke).

Liebich’s store has previously offered clothing featuring provocative designs, particularly ahead of the 2016 European Championships in France. At that time, the store presented a very similar print with the slogan “Frankreichfeldzug” (Military expedition to France), which is commonly used to refer to the Nazi invasion of France during World War II.

The store is apparently not the only retailer attempting to cash in on provocative designs ahead of the World Cup in Russia. Another online shop, Teezily, also put on sale T-shirts and hoodies featuring the slogan: “This time we will come in summer.” On the print, a hooded figure with a bat is depicted against the background of a Black Cross emblem used by the modern-day German Armed Forces. It was also used by the Wehrmacht – the army of Nazi Germany.

Teezily doesn’t produce the clothing, and is rather an online platform for third parties to create their own designs which are then produced and sold by the enterprise if a certain number of items are ordered. So far there is no evidence indicating that German football fans have anything to do with the provocative clothing designs.

This particular design was apparently created by a German online sales group, Deutsche Fun Shirts, registered in the town of Altenstadt. “A limited series of shirts for the World Cup – grab one before it disappears from the market!” a description posted on Facebook says.

Even though it is unclear whether the group has any links to far-right groups, it is not the first time it has used symbols clearly resembling Nazi ones for its shirt designs.

In January, it presented a series of apparel featuring an eagle resembling the Nazi one, and two skulls in Wehrmacht helmets, as well as the slogan “Gott mit uns!” (God is with us!) – which was frequently used in the German Empire and Nazi Germany.

Another design featuring symbols similar to those of the Nazis was promoted on the group’s Facebook page in December 2016. At that time, it was a print of an eagle bearing a striking resemblance to the Nazi symbol, and a wreath with a fist.

Ross Kemp SNAPS at Piers Morgan over BBC pay: 'We didn’t have T-shirts with salaries on' https://briefnews.eu/ross-kemp-snaps-at-piers-morgan-over-bbc-pay-we-didnt-have-t-shirts-with-salaries-on/ https://briefnews.eu/ross-kemp-snaps-at-piers-morgan-over-bbc-pay-we-didnt-have-t-shirts-with-salaries-on/#respond Wed, 19 Jul 2017 08:46:33 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/ross-kemp-snaps-at-piers-morgan-over-bbc-pay-we-didnt-have-t-shirts-with-salaries-on/

Ross, 52, was on the ITV show to talk about the latest series of Extreme Worlds when talk turned to the story dominating the headlines.

Piers, also 52, asked him: “You were of course one of the highest paid stars at the BBC – quite rightly – for your portrayal of Grant Mitchell. On soap operas I presume the big stars get big money, lesser stars get less.

“Was there parity between the female and male stars who were at the same level?”

The ex-soap star hit back at the question: “We didn’t have T-shirts with our salaries on but I would guess there would have been parity between male and female but I don’t know.

“When you go to drama school, for instance, they will generally cast more men in a class than they will women because comparatively there are more male roles out there than there are female roles.”

The presenter went on to ask: “Is that where the change should be taking place?”

Ross replied: “I think we’re changing. If you look at management in television, there are a lot more women I believe than there are men.

He added: “I think there should be parity. I don’t think your sex should determine whether you get more than anyone else. It should be your ability to do the job and your popularity with the audience.”

As the exchange grew more awkward as Piers continued to grill him, posing the question: “You’ve worked at the BBC, of you think it’s going to cause mayhem with these figures?”

The actor and investigative journalist explained: “I think there will be some people who will be very unhappy, it’s understandable. You have to look at the agenda, is it a government agenda to rock the BBC ship.”

The interview comes as the pays of top earners at the BBC will be revealed today as the broadcaster comes under fire that just a third of the most highly paid talent are women and 100 staff members take home more than the prime minister.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.

Walking Dead T-shirts pulled from Primark stores for THIS shock reason https://briefnews.eu/walking-dead-t-shirts-pulled-from-primark-stores-for-this-shock-reason/ https://briefnews.eu/walking-dead-t-shirts-pulled-from-primark-stores-for-this-shock-reason/#respond Tue, 21 Feb 2017 13:45:58 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/walking-dead-t-shirts-pulled-from-primark-stores-for-this-shock-reason/

The t-shirts show killer Negan holding a bloodied baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he uses to smash his victim¹s head to pieces, with the rhyme ‘Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe’ written on it.

The killer, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the hit show about survivors of the zombie apocalypse, calls his bat Lucille and used it to kill long-standing favourites Glen and Abraham at the start of the most recent seventh season.

Before killing the pair, Negan – who leads a gang called The Saviours – decided on who to kill by pointing to his victims one-by-one with the baseball bat while saying ‘Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe, catch a tiger by his toe’.

But after Sheffield couple Ian and Gwen Lucraft spotted the t-shirt in a Primark store in Sheffield last week, they complained to bosses that it was ‘offensive’.

Methodist minister Ian told press he understood the’Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe’ rhyme to be racist.

He also said the bloodied bat was offensive, adding: “We were shocked when we came face to face with a new t-shirt with a racially explicit graphic and text.

“It was fantastically offensive and I can only assume that no-one in the process of ordering it knew what they were doing or were aware of its subliminal messages.”

He said that ‘everyone knows’ the ‘Eeny, Meeny, many, Moe’ phrase continues with ‘catch a n***** by his toe’.

The Minister added: “The graphic has a large American baseball bat, wrapped round with barbed wire, and covered with blood.

“This image relates directly to the practice of assaulting black people in America.

“It’s directly threatening of a racist assault, and isI were black and were faced by a wearer I would know just where I stood.”

Ian fired off a letter to Primark chief executive Paul Marchant asking him to remove the t-shirt from sale – and bosses decided to remove it after the complaint.

A spokesman for Primark confirmed the t-shirts are now being removed from all of its 300-odd stores, adding: “The t-shirt in question is licensed merchandise for the US television series, The Walking Dead, and the quote and image are taken directly from the show.

“Any offence caused by its design was wholly unintentional and Primark sincerely apologises for this.

“Primary is currently removing the product from sale.”

The Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe counting rhyme has been around since the 18th century, with tiger replacing ¹n*gger¹ in more recent versions.

A girl’s rant over ‘sexist’ children’s clothes in Tesco went viral.
