The first footage from This Is Us‘ Season 4 finale is out and it looks like we’re way past tense and well on our way to fisticuffs. The promo, which aired following the NBC drama’s penultimate hour on Tuesday (full recap here), confirms that the simmering feud between battling bros Randall and Kevin will absolutely, definitely reach a breaking point in next week’s closer. The clip also tees up the return of Gerald McRaney as Rebecca’s former obstetrician Dr. K. and hints at a medical crisis for little Jack’s beloved Lucy (possibly involving the birth of their child?). As we exclusively reported last month, the finale — titled “Strangers: Part Two” — will serve as something of a bookend to the Season 4 premiere, “Strangers.” Watch the video above and then hint the comments with an answer to this question: You’re kinda scared, right? Dennis (played by Bleu Landau) defied his mother Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) orders by making his way onto the doomed voyage as EastEnders marked it’s 35th anniversary this week. Unfortunately, his wayward ways caught up with him and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was the one to teach him a lesson as he locked the teenager in the chamber of the vessel before disaster struck. Although the youngster made it off the flooded boat in this evening’s edition of the BBC soap, scenes towards the end of the episode showed he was the unlucky victim of the disaster. However, viewers weren’t too happy. As the groundhog day theme played throughout the week came to an end, the events of the rescue mission played out in real time tonight. With the vessel quickly filling with water, Ian made desperate attempts to free Dennis from his prison after losing the keys to the chamber. Although he smashed a hole in the door, there was a struggle to get the troublesome character out and by the time they reached dry land, emergency services were waiting to attend to the pair. Valiant efforts were made to save Sharon’s son’s life, but it was unsuccessful as he was revealed to be the victim of the anniversary disaster and viewers quickly took to Twitter to voice their outrage. READ MORE: EastEnders spoilers: Karen Taylor adopts Sharon Mitchell’s baby? One posted on the social media platform: “Called it. What a shame. The potential future storylines Dennis had in the future and they’ve killed him off. #EastEnders #EastEnders35.” Another added: “Oh s*** I did not have it down that Dennis would die. How tragic he’s so young. #eastenders .” Whilst a third commented: “It’s Denny! As much as he is a pain in the a*** he shouldn’t die like that! #EastEnders.” A fourth remarked: “They’ve killed off Denny. I can’t cope. His character had so much potential. Man, I’m emotional #Eastenders #Eastenders35.” However, what Sharon doesn’t know is Ian had some involvement as to why her son was trapped on the boat when it began to sink into the Thames. The coming weeks will see the repercussions of the teenager’s death play out, but it’s not been confirmed what exactly this will entail. Teasing the future of the soap after Dennis demise, Head of Continuing Drama Kate Oates explained why he was the character who needed to be killed off. Speaking with press, including Express.co.uk, the soap boss said: “It’s true of any soap or drama – you want consequence.” “That is the main thing that comes out of Dennis’s death. It is where it goes, it’s the people who are left behind and the story that it generates. It is very well thought out. “There is something almost Greek about it as it could be argued that it’s been set up for quite some time. We discussed it in depth and actually had a lot of arguments about it,” Kate explained. Executive Producer Jon Sen added: “In retrospect you’ll see that there is only ever one candidate really who can generate the story we wanted to tell going forward for months and months.” Will Sharon ever discover the true circumstances surrounding Dennis’ death? EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Those who work behind the scenes of EastEnders have already confirmed someone in Walford will die in a couple of weeks’ time with the BBC One soap marking the special occasion with a week of explosive episodes. There isn’t too much longer to wait until they air either with the on board drama commencing from Monday, February 17. So who is going to meet their tragic end this month? Have your say in the Express.co.uk poll. Last year, Linda (played by Kellie Bright) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) announced the Queen Vic had been named Best Pub in London 2020 and as a surprise, the landlord and landlady, along with all of their regular punters, won a boat party on the River Thames. Naturally, everyone was ecstatic about the prize but little do they know it will all end in tears as one of them is going to plunge to their death in the iconic river. The only questions which remain now are: who will it be and under what circumstances will they die? READ MORE: EastEnders spoilers: Ian Beale to disown son Bobby after argument? There has been a lot more drama than usual going on in the square as of late. From Phil Mitchell (played by Steve McFadden) exposing his pregnant wife Sharon’s (Letitia Dean) affair with mechanic Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), to stalker and son of paedophile Tony King (Chris Coghill), Leo King (Tom Wells) taking up residence in Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) attic and watching her through a small hole in the ceiling, there have been plenty of potential motives for wanting to throw someone overboard. But according to bookmakers Ladbrokes, there are a total of 15 residents who could be in the running to be killed off. At the top of the list is Keanu with 5/2 and this doesn’t come as a surprise, seeing as he has made himself enemy number one with the Mitchells. In last night’s (Thursday, February 6) episode, sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) left him a voicemail saying Phil is no longer in Walford, which could be the push he needs to return to his family. But with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), the one who hired Martin Fowler (James Bye) to kill him, still hanging about, could the young Mitchell finish the job himself? The next most popular to be killed is Leo who has been relentlessly stalking Whitney and getting under both Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Kush Kazemi’s skin (Davood Ghadami) for months. His odds to be dead by the end of the month are 3/1. DON’T MISS… In joint third place with also 3/1 odds is Linda whose drinking problem worsened after she helped Martin fake Keanu’s death. Could the Mitchells find out and seek their revenge or will she drunkenly stumble into the river? Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Mick are next with 4/1 and both deaths seem plausible after last night’s show where Ian threw his son Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) out in a fit of rage for saying Max Branning (Jake Wood) had been more like a father to him and Mick had yet another row with wife Linda. So could either Bobby or Linda take their anger out on one of these two on the boat? Following them is then Ben who is never the most popular man in the room having caused numerous problems for many of the Walford community over the years and most recently both Keanu and Martin. He is joined by Whitney who has suffered at the hands of Leo for months so is there a chance Leo could push her into the iconic river? Ben and Whitney’s odds to be killed off are both at 5/1. However, some fans are predicting it could be either Ian or Sharon who are killed off as the pair reminisced about the past and loved ones who have died. One fan tweeted: “This Ian and Sharon thing feels like a final goodbye it’s weird.” Another said: “Does this mean one of them are going to die haha? Reminiscing about the past always means death ahead.” Warning: We’re about to spoil the game-changing events of Monday’s 9-1-1. Haven’t watched yet? Turn back before it’s too late! Monday’s 9-1-1 began by putting a microscope over Hen and Karen’s relationship, which has been in rough shape ever since the hopeful mothers-to-be lost a half dozen embryos. “It’s been three weeks,” Karen reminded her wife while discussing her crippling depression. “I’m sorry my grief is taking so long. What will be an acceptable amount of time for me to mourn? We lost six embryos, so is it a day for each one? Or can I negotiate for a little more time to process my loss? Why am I the only one that’s feeling it?” Hen did her best to relate, telling Karen that she also “got really attached to the idea of a new baby,” but that only made things worse. “Those babies were just an idea to you,” Karen said. “But each one of them was actually a part of me.” As she relayed to Athena, Hen found herself torn over Karen’s struggle. She understood her wife’s need to grieve, but she also needs Karen to be present for their family’s sake. Ironically, Hen didn’t realize that she was basically doing the same thing to her work partner, Chimney, until he called her out for getting distracted. Sadly, that distraction turned fatal when Hen accidentally crashed the ambulance into a young woman named Evelyn. And because 9-1-1 loves to rip our hearts out whenever possible, we were given Evelyn’s complete backstory. (She was about to make her debut with the Los Angeles Philarmonic! Her grandmother was so proud! Her dad was trying on multiple shirts!) “There’s going to be an investigation, and it starts now,” Athena told an inconsolable Hen upon her arrival. “The LAPD and LAFD are going to roll up onto the scene with a lot of questions. You need to think about what you’re going to say. Only tell them what you know. Not what you think, not what you feel. Answer their questions, but stick to the facts. Do you think you can do that?” Based on Hen’s complete breakdown at the sight of Evelyn being pronounced dead on the scene, I’m not sure she can make that promise. * Eddie’s rise to stardom in the underground fighting community hit a snag when he accidentally kicked a piece of his opponent’s nose into his cranial cavity. (At least I think that’s what happened. This may surprise you, but I’m neither a first responder nor a cage fighter.) Even though it meant exposing the whole operation, not to mention revealing his side hustle to Lena, Eddie placed a call to 9-1-1. It saved the man’s life, but it didn’t spare Eddie a follow-up lecture from Bobby. * As I was watching that cold open (pun intended) about the feuding figure skaters, I couldn’t help but wonder… how have Ryan Murphy & Co. not yet given us a campy dark comedy about the Ice Capades? Maybe that would be too easy. * Speaking of life on the ice, who would have ever guessed that Bobby’s mysterious past included a brief stint as one half of a decorated figure-skating duo? Sure, we knew the man was riddled with demons, but nothing like that. * And rather than risk Buck hearing it from someone else, Maddie came clean to her brother about the stalking complaint filed against her. People sure got a lot off their chests this week, didn’t they? Your thoughts on this week’s 9-1-1? Drop ’em in a comment below. The poignant 30-second clip of the brand new series of Poldark began with some wonderful words of encouragement from a mystery voice for the brooding protagonist Ross Poldark (played by Aidan Turner). Ross appeared to be mulling something serious over in his mind, but who could it involve? “You will make the world a stronger, fairer, wiser place,” the voiceover told him. What’s more fiery red-head Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) seems determined to build Cornwall into a better place as she delivered a rousing speech to her counterparts on the BBC programme. “Our children would have the means to rise, the mother-of-two said firmly. “And claim parity with their richer fellows.” But despite these bold statements, it seems the duo are in for another rocky road on the historical drama. Ross could then be heard saying: “If your own country betrays you, to whom do you then owe loyalty?” And the drama only intensified, as in a series of flashes both the Poldarks and the Enyses seemed to be struggling to keep their lives from falling apart. In one of the final shots, Ross emerged from a cave carrying the lifeless body of a child, and it came shortly after an enormous explosion. It’s unclear whether the two events are connected, and the child identity is unknown at this moment in time, but will one fan-favourite character be left devastated with loss? What’s more, George Warleggan (Jack Farthing) looks set to go further and further into his depression as he can be seen holding a gun to someone’s head. Taking to the Twitter comments, fans were giddy with enthusiasm over the new teaser, which was released by the official Poldark account. “Anyone else have a lump in their throat?” one person asked. “I think mine won’t be going away anytime soon. It looks so wonderful!! I can’t believe it’s the last series. @PoldarkTV #Poldark #AidanCrew.” Another demanded: “All I know is Ross and Demelza better end up happy together after all this turbulent drama.” “I want to see it NOW but I do not want it to end forever. Duality of feelings. How will we do without Poldark ???” a third wondered. While a fourth cried: “You’re killing me @PoldarkTV can’t believe this is the last ever series btw it looks brilliant!” “I haven’t felt this excited in a long time…and yet I know come the end of the series, I will be inconsolable,” a fifth shared. Others speculated on what other tidbits the video has hinted at for the next several episodes. “Is that Demelza running in the dark not long after the explosion? I think it’s her..” one person guessed. Another wondered: “Is Ross carrying Valentine out of a cave???” Recently, actor Aidan Turner spoke out about whether he would return to the series years in the future to finish off Winston Graham’s books. Poldark season five returns to BBC One this month.

Russian ice hockey star Evgeni Malkin, who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL, has sent a message of support to his hometown following a New Year’s Eve apartment explosion in which dozens of people lost their lives.
Prior to the Penguins’ game with the New York Rangers on Wednesday, Malkin revealed his skates bore messages in Russian which translated as “Magnitogorsk, we are with you” and “Magnitogorsk, you are in my heart” following the explosion in which dozens of people died after a suspected gas leak.

“I want to say we support you,” Malkin said.
“We’re here. We’re together. Always in my heart, it’s my hometown. It’s the No. 1 city for me, for my family. I’m glad to be born in this town. I know there’s great people in this town. Something bad happens sometimes. We’ll try to help the families. Just be strong.”

Four children died in the accident and residents are still missing. Six people have been rescued from the rubble, including an 11-month-old boy.
The video shows what looks like a scene from a war zone. A massive pile of rubble stands in the gap where the building once stood.
A wall of different coloured wallpaper is all that remains of the scores of apartments blown up in the explosion.
The haunting footage was filmed by Artyom Ibragimov who said he brought his drone to the site of the explosion when he heard the news.
Ibragimov spent the day helping rescue workers and his drone footage alerted the crew to the fact that the roof was badly damaged and at risk of collapse.

As telegraphed last week at the close of the season’s second episode, Jason’s wife Alana (recurring player Michaela McManus) was in a fatal car accident, while running a quick errand upon his return home from a mission. The rest of the hour encompassed the reactions of Jason, his kids Emma and Michael, and well as his SEAL brothers — capped by a warm moment between Jason and CIA liaison Mandy.
“It was so hard to go down a path this emotional,” Boreanaz says, “but look, at the end of [Episode] 2 I think the floodgates opened. Things are going to shift radically, and I’m really proud of the work from everybody and where we’re at right now. It’s going to be an emotional ride, and some really great work, the next few episodes.”
When Bravo Team was ordered to spin up for a new mission, Jason knew that he had to stand down, being the only parent his kids have left. But for how long can he sit on the sidelines? Boreanaz spoke with TVLine about Jason’s status with the team, and much more.
TVLINE | When did you first get wind that this was coming? Because when I saw Michaela at the NBC Upfront in May, she knew she was going to be back for a bit.
Well, it was something that was suggested to me, and I said to [showrunner] John [Glenn] that it’s a very delicate situation and you have to take into consideration where Michaela was, going on to a new show…. And you know, she’s so awesome. [Pauses] I mean, I talk about it now and I get choked up because she’s such a sweetheart, and a part of the show was her being able to allow the character to explore these areas. It’s a huge sacrifice to say, “Yeah, OK, I’ll die. I’ll get into an accident.” When we pitched the whole season to the network, at first the network was hesitant. They thought, “Oh, maybe she should travel to the West Coast with the kids, they could be divorced,” and I said, “Well, you’re losing a really strong impactful moment that could shift and change the emotionality we’ve got.” (TVLine reached out to McManus, who stars on the midseason drama The Village, for comment on her exit, which is printed at right.)
I told them, and I could be wrong, that I’ve never seen this on a show, where a guy who’s in the military — who’s a Tier 1 operator who is so addicted to his job and this adrenaline rush of what he does that when he comes home not only is he affected by the people who can’t understand these guys and their issues, their PTSD and struggling with traumatic brain injury — becomes a single dad. I love the idea, because I thought that the conflict and the stakes would just raise it up high.
TVLINE | In this season’s earlier episodes, was it hard for you and Michaela to not telegraph to the audience, “These are going to be our very final scenes”? Like, “Let’s not have a longing look when I say that I’m going to get you a rotisserie chicken”?
That scene’s tricky, because you have to understand from my perspective and from what my character is going through, that when she says, “Don’t you see how happy you are when you’re home?,” he doesn’t. He kind of gets it and he doesn’t, and that’s one of the things with these guys — what they do is life or death, and they love it. They hit their target and come home. The battle is tenfold for them. And to play that, what I was thinking of going through at that moment was dealing with what a guy like that would deal with, and her dealing with what she would have to deal with as a wife, separated and having two kids. I thought it was played great, and the fact that it was just like, “Hey, I’m going to go out and get us some chicken, beer,” whatever, that’s it.
TVLINE | For this episode, what scene was most important for you to pull off?
There are so many. There’s a journey to this, from the end of Episode 2, which for my character was the realization of what just happened and I’m turned around, and the journey into the hospital, putting the pieces back together, going through that anger phase, that depression, that sadness…. It’s definitely the five stages of death. And then you need to be able to add layers so you’re specifically dialed in and not just one-note. As an actor, it’s very challenging, and I work with Ivana Chubbuck who has been my girl, man, for 20 years. We get each other. For this journey, if you’re not going to be able to open the doors that you’re afraid of, I use that fear as motivation. Otherwise, what’s the purpose?
TVLINE | When Jason was holding it together for the first couple acts, I was like, “I get it. He’s strong.” But as a viewer, as someone invested in his family, I needed this guy to lose it. So when the kitchen scene came along, I was like, “OK, now I’m dialed in.”
Yeah. Yeah. There are so many different levels to it. It starts at the end of [Episode] 2 and then it goes to 3, then it goes to 4, 5, and 6…. It’s not just a one-scene moment and then everything’s done. This is a hard journey and something that I’m so excited that I took on. I just said, “You know what, it’s time to just buckle in and get focused on this,” so I’m happy that people allow me to do that.
TVLINE | Can we just talk for a second about Kerri Medders, who plays your daughter, Emma? Because wow.
She’s awesome.
TVLINE | Playing a mourning child is ostensibly easy — you do the things you’re supposed to do. But it can be a mess if you don’t have the right child actor in there. And now I’m getting choked up.
She’s the crux. I talked about it to A.J. [Buckley] yesterday. He said, “Man, I did some ADR, and the scene between you and your daughter….” Again, that’s the stuff that’s going to wreck you, man, if you’re a parent or not. But Kerri, she gauged off of what we were giving her. She’s really good at listening. She’s super present, which makes it very vulnerable. In the kitchen scene, I scared the s–t out of her. [Laughs] It was pretty heavy. The woman who played my mother, she looked at me like, “OK, I need to go take a step outside.” So there were some really tense moments of vulnerability on that set and it affected you know everybody at the crew for six episodes. But yeah, Kerri is phenomenal, she’s phenomenal.
TVLINE | In the immediate wake of this, I’m wondering: How does Jason ever get back to doing his job? I totally support his decision to stand down on this next mission, but that’s not the show. What is it going to take for him to get back to the team? Like, does Naima step up and say, “I can handle such-and-such,” or…?
I will say that it is someone from the homeland that gives him the OK, and the moment is so intense and just heartbreaking. There are more people to be lost, I’ll tell you that, in the next four or five episodes. But there is a message that he gets that will allow him to [rejoin the team].
TVLINE | Lastly, what do you want to say about that scene toward the end, with Jason and Mandy in his car? What all was that about?
It was a great scene. Obviously it was cut down a bit; the director’s cut you would love. In finding the car, I said, “You know, we’ve got to have a car that is reminiscent of maybe something that Jason and Alana used to have and drive before he got into BUD/S.” Something that he was building for her and rebuilding, and I was like it will be great if we just do it in the car. [Director] Chris [Chulack] loved the idea, and you know now you have Alana gone and now Manny steps into that car. If you want to say it’s foreshadowing or not, I don’t want to jump that shark because I think the beautiful thing about the relationship between Jason and Mandy is this: Everyone will be like, “Oh, it’s so predictable that they’re going to hook up.” Well, how do you know that we haven’t already? I’ll just say that. I’m not saying they slept with each other — I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s a little bit more interesting. And again, the layers of a relationship in this environment, in this work environment, with what these guys do is going to be intense and fun.
TVLINE | Well, what I like about the cut of the scene we did get was it told me that she’s someone to whom he can say, “Don’t say this, don’t say that, I’ve heard it all week. Let’s talk about anything else.” And then she sits in the car, holding his hand and then there’s just like silence — and maybe the silence continues. Or maybe she starts talking about an op or something. But she gets it.
Yeah. She does, and that’s where I see the path. The two of them have high respect for each other and in the world that they live in, in the work environment they live in, especially with these Tier 1 operators…. They’re not 100 percent, they’re 150 or 180, high adrenaline, and they do things way intense.
