The following contains spoilers from the WandaVision finale and episodes leading up to it. Once the dust settled in the WandaVision finale (now streaming on Disney+), yes, Wanda (played by Elizabeth Olsen) had vanquished witchy rival Agatha Harkness (Kathryn hahn). And yes, she freed the people of Westview, N.J. from the spell that had held them hostage in her idyllic world, in the course of sacrificing the family she had conjured for herself. But the fact remains that — as revealed earlier by Agatha, and later owned up to by Wanda herself — these people not only had been robbed of their identities but, as one noted, “When you let us sleep, we have your nightmares!” When Wanda walked into town after losing Vision and their sons to the vanished Hex, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) tried to alleviate some of the sorceress’ guilt, saying, “They’ll never know what you sacrificed for them.” But Wanda knew that was far from true, saying, “It wouldn’t change how they see me.” Some viewers, though, felt that that exchange was a bit too pat. That though Wanda is owning her role in Westview’s torture, it doesn’t at all change that it happened. So, was there ever “more” to that final scene, an attempt to do better by the people of Westview? “There’s so much conversation about taking Westview hostage in the finale as it is,” WandaVision director Matt Shakman notes. In that mid-episode scene, “We have Agatha really bringing it to Wanda, saying, ‘Are you a hero or are you a villain? Heroes don’t torture people.’ That’s a huge moment in the finale, when Wanda has to wrestle with that.” Speaking to the scene following the Hex’s collapse, head writer Jac Schaeffer tells TVLine, “I think Wanda’s walk of shame back into the town is really powerful, and it was written as such on the page. It was meant to be like an assault of death glares from people, and we were meant to feel how angry they all are. “I remember a note from [Marvel Studios chief] Kevin [Feige] being like, ‘More, more, let’s feel that for her, let’s understand that what she did was terrible,’” Schaeffer adds. To those who wished a happier ending for Westview, “No, that’s not the story we’re telling, that now [Wanda] is has to make everything OK,” Schaeffer says. “It wasn’t about landing her in a way where it’s like, ‘Everything’s wrapped up and squeaky clean, and she’s a hero and has done no wrong!’ She’s done a lot of wrong. And there will probably be reckonings down the line. No, I like how that’s in the gray area of misdeeds that she’s been involved in.” As director of the Wanda/Monica scene at the end, Shakman says “there were many versions of that, for sure, but nothing that was much longer.” He then echoes Schaeffer’s reverence for the complicated moment, saying, “I think it’s a beautiful scene. We’re not trying to let Wanda off the hook at all. The daggers that she’s getting from every townsperson as she walks through town should clearly show that she’s not being forgiven, and she won’t be forgiven, by them. She understands that.” Have those residents of Westview been left to rue Wanda and be haunted by their time in spell-driven servitude? And what is to come of Agatha, who was returned by Wanda to her “Agnes” persona? Will Sarah, Sharon et al forever be giving their nosy neighbor the stink eye? “I can’t really speak to [the residents], because it’s beyond the scope of the show, which is my department,” Schaeffer defers. “But with regard to Agatha, it’s what Wanda says: You’re going to live here, she does a mind control spell on Agatha, and then says, No one will bother you. In my mind, that means Agatha lives, or will live, in some kind of bubble. No one’s going to question her or have a hard time with her. Wanda has stashed her there, and also defanged her, essentially.” (With reporting by Rebecca Iannucci) Got burning WandaVision questions? Captain Tom Moore, 99, joined Piers Morgan, 55, and Susanna Reid, 49, on yesterday’s edition of Good Morning Britain to discuss the impact of his charitable actions to help NHS charities. The war veteran has raised over £26 million for completing laps of his garden and releasing a charity single, alongside singer Michael Ball, 57, in a rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone. However, the host wanted to know more about a letter Dame Vera, 103, had sent to the fundraiser to thank him for his efforts, leading the guest to cheekily shut him down. The charity single, which also features vocals from the NHS Voices of Care Choir, went in at number one on the update of the Official Big Top 40 chart yesterday, surpassing Dame Vera and Katherine Jenkins’, 39, collaboration. Although he beat his icon to the top spot, Captain Tom couldn’t be more complimentary of the war-time singer after he saw her perform during his days as a solider. During his interview with Piers and Susanna, the war veteran recalled how the voice of the nation lifted his spirits during a time of crisis as he is doing for Britain now. Having learnt the White Cliffs of Dover star had personally thanked him for his efforts to raise money for the NHS, the host was left in hysterics when his guest refused to answer his questions about the exchange. READ MORE: Piers Morgan blasts Prince Harry over coronavirus media coverage Asked how he felt about receiving the letter from Dame Vera, Captain Tom said: “I was absolutely amazed. “She’s always been such a top person backing up this country for so long with the White Cliffs of Dover. I think I will say to her thank you very, very much, Dame Vera. “It is so kind and thoughtful for you to send me such a lovely note,” he added, to which the host then asked: “What did she say to you, Tom?” The war veteran wasn’t going to give anything away as he replied to Piers: “I’m not going to tell you what she said.” “They’re not [looking] after themselves all the time, they’re putting themselves in danger, serving all the patients so very, very well,” Captain Tom added. The guest was also joined by his daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore, who explained how her father is coping with the media attention. Given the war veteran has made headlines across the globe, his daughter told the hosts he is having to take lots of breaks as they try and adjust to their media schedule. Rounding off the interview, the guest said he felt like he was in “fairyland” because of all the kind messages of support people have sent to him. Piers commended Captain Tom and told him he was a modern-day superhero, rallying the world in its time of need. The host has been supporting the war veteran’s efforts since he announced his fundraising plan, backing the petition for the 99-year-old to be knighted. It’s been reported he will receive a Spitfire salute to mark his 100th birthday next week to celebrate his charitable donations to the NHS charities. His mission hasn’t finished yet as the pensioner is continuing to walk laps of his garden whilst people still donate money to his JustGiving page. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV. Good Morning Britain presenter Morgan kicked off the questioning and asked: “What is your reaction to that interview?” Referring to the BBC Newsnight interview Prince Andrew took part in. “He knows the truth and what he really did,” Mr Roberts replied. “I’ve seen the interviews, him denying everything, but apparently he’s not telling the truth and most of Britain knows that. “I feel so sorry for my daughter, everything she went through at the time. I had no idea, everything she went through at the time she was going through it, I had no idea. I love my daughter very much and she is really brave to be going through all this and come up against these powerful people,” the guest continued. Reid continued: “It must be very hard as a father to hear these allegations, to hear her talk about what she was forced to do and to see her in tears as she talks about it. What impact has it had on you? And What message would you like to give your daughter?” “Well, I’d really like to tell her to stay strong and safe to begin with because these are powerful people she’s dealing with – it’s not just Prince Andrew it’s several others too that she has allegations against,” Mr Roberts explained. “I know she’s telling the truth, my daughter is a good girl, she really is. Like I say, I wish I’d have know all this stuff was going on but I didn’t. “As a parent you ask the question ‘how do you not know that your children are doing this?’ “But she’s a very good actress – when she would come home from these trips, she said nothing about it. And it must have been killing her inside for powerful people like that, they can threaten a young girl like that. These girls are young, they really don’t know what’s going on with these powerful people,” he continued. We’re very proud of her,” GMB viewers heard Mr Roberts say. “Mr Roberts, let me ask you, when did she first tell you she had this liaison with Prince Andrew?” Morgan asked. “I never talk to my daughter about that,” he replied. “I only seen it on the news and what I read in the papers and things like that. It’s not something you talk about with your daughter, I mean she is probably not comfortable talking to me about it because of what happened. “But she knows I know and like I say I feel really sorry all of this happened, it did happen and Prince Andrew should pay for it,” Mr Roberts remarked. GMB: Morgan and Reid interviewed Mr Roberts (Image: ITV) “It will come down to – for some people – of a question of who you believe. Do you believe Prince Andrew who emphatically denied having sex with your daughter, in fact said he couldn’t recollect ever meeting her, despite the photograph we keep showing,” Morgan commented. The GMB presenter continued: “Or there’s your daughter, who last night, gave a very powerful testimony about what she says happened, detailed and very shocking. You know your daughter better than any of us, do you have any doubt she is telling the truth?” “I have no doubt at all she is telling the truth. I’ve seen the interviews with Prince Andrew and it just shows to me and most of Britain he is not telling the truth,” Mr Roberts remarked. “She has no reason to not tell the truth about this and he has every reason to deny it, because him being a royal and what he’s done – these are young girls these are kids! He has young daughters, what if it was his daughter?” He added. DON’T MISS… GMB: Mr Roberts said he believed his daughter was telling the truth (Image: ITV) In a brief clip issued by the BBC ahead of the programme, Ms Giuffre says: “He knows what happened, I know what happened. And there’s only one of us telling the truth.” Prior to his interview with Maitis, Andrew – who has strongly denied claims he had sex with Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre (nee Roberts) when she was 17 – had only released prepared statements through Buckingham Palace’s press office. Buckingham Palace said previously: “Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue. “It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact with Virginia Roberts. Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation.” And during his interview with BBC Newsnight, Andrew reiterated his denial. Maitis asked: “Is it possible that you met Virginia Roberts, dined with her, danced with her in Tramp, had sex with her on another date?” “No,” Prince Andrew replied. “Do you remember meeting her at all?” Maitis continued and Prince Andrew stated: “No.” “Do you know you didn’t meet her or do you just not remember meeting her?” The interviewer said. Prince Andrew replied: “No, I have…I don’t know if I’ve met her but no, I have no recollection of meeting her.” “Because she was very specific, she described the dance that you had together in Tramp. She described meeting you, she was a 17 year old girl meeting a senior member of the royal family,” Maitis remarked. “It never happened,” the royal commented. “But you can say categorically that you don’t recall meeting Virginia Roberts, dining with her?” Maitis said later in the interview. “Yep,” Prince Andrew said and Maitis continued: “Dancing with her at Tramp?” “Yep,” Prince Andrew repeated. Maitis added: “Or going on to have sex with her…” “Yes,” he said once more. “…in a bedroom in a house in Belgravia?” Maitis probed. “I can absolutely categorically tell you it never happened,” the royal added. “Do you recall any kind of sexual contact with Virginia Roberts then or any other time?” Maitis asked. “None whatsoever,” Prince Andrew replied. “Because she said in a legal deposition, a legal court document in 2015, she had sex with you three times. She is not confused about this. She said the first was in London when she was trafficked to you, the second was at Epstein’s mansion in New York,” the journalist continued. “That is a date in April I believe, is that correct?” Prince Andrew clarified and Maitis responded: “She said it was a month or so later.” “Yeah, well I think that the date we have for that shows that I was in Boston or I was in New York the previous day and I was at a dinner for The Outward Bound Trust in New York and then I flew up to Boston the following day and then on the day that she says that this occurred, they’d already left to go the island before I got back from Boston. So I don’t think that could have happened at all,” the royal replied. READ THE FULL BBC NEWSNIGHT INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT HERE Good Morning Britain airs weekday mornings at 6am on ITV. Jonathan Ashworth faced a grilling from Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan today as he gave Good Morning Britain an interview. He was initially there to discuss his plans for the NHS as the current Shadow Health Secretary but talk turned to Jeremy Corbyn. Last night, the Labour leader took part in an interview with Andrew Neil, but it hit headlines as critics and viewers alike branded it a “disaster”. Reid was keen to know if Ashworth thought the chat was as bad as everyone was making out, and started by asking about Corbyn’s lack of apology for alleged anti-Semitism within the Labour Party. Ashworth started: “I feel a tremendous sorrow an I want to say sorry; the Labour Party has been too slow. “In the past, Jeremy Corbyn has apologised. Look, let’s be clear, the Jewish community feels aggrieved – rightly so – and upset – rightly so.” READ MORE: Election 2019 LIVE: Neil EXPOSES how Corbyn will wallop low earners Morgan jumped in: “You’ve had no trouble saying you’re sorry, but your leader was asked four times. “He was incapable of just saying, ‘I’m sorry’ what’s wrong with him?” Ashworth continued to defend Corbyn, explaining how he has apologised in the past, but he couldn’t comment on the circumstances behind last night’s interview as he hadn’t seen it. Reid then put Ashworth on the spot as she played him the exact clip they were referring to. Morgan added: “Isn’t it pretty extraordinary that senior politicians can’t find the time to watch interviews with their own leader?” Ashworth explained that he was in “seven different places” yesterday and the day before, saying he “doesn’t have the time”. Reid insisted he watched it on the train on his phone as he will be answering questions all day about it. Morgan laughed: “It’s called multi-tasking – why should we have to suffer it if you don’t have to?”

PETER HORTON | Yes, in a word. [Laughs] No one wants to have their show be off the air for a year. Then again, this year is so jangled and turned upside down that this abnormalcy is something people, I think, are expecting and not reading too much into or being thrown too much by. But no, we’d much rather have been able to come on sooner. It’s just there was really no way to do it.
DAVID SCHULNER | One of the reasons why is we filmed in real hospitals at Bellevue in New York and Kings County in New York, which were 70 percent of our stages that we used. Our sets were in these hospitals. When it was clear that we couldn’t film in these hospitals anymore, we had to build an entire hospital from scratch, and that’s one of the reasons that we started shooting much later than everyone else.
HORTON | As far as the subject matter goes with the pandemic, it’s sadly continued, so it’s not like we’re coming on after it’s over. It’s just as relevant today as it would’ve been in the fall, when we normally would come on.
TVLINE | How did that impact your approach to the storylines this season in tackling the pandemic, while trying to be aware of the fact that maybe viewers are fatigued by COVID storylines, but also wanting to be reflective of what’s going on in the world right now?
SCHULNER | We didn’t have that luxury. Unfortunately, we started writing this season in June of last year, and we had to predict what the world would look like six [to] eight months from then, whenever we would air. So for us, when we wrote this season, we were very much living through it. We both needed to honor that, because the show is about first responders in New York City in a public hospital, which was the hardest hit and the epicenter of the pandemic back in April, May and June when we started writing this season. So we knew we had to do justice and honor those people that we were portraying. And then, yes, we also had to tell the stories that we always wanted to tell that had nothing to do with the pandemic, but would irrevocably be influenced by it. And then the dumpster fire of 2020 being what it was, all of a sudden, there was this social justice reckoning the country went through in the middle of the pandemic, in the middle of us writing this season, that we knew we had to deal with also, that we knew we couldn’t ignore. So, really, we were dealing with two major crises as they were happening and didn’t have the luxury of saying to ourselves, “We hope people aren’t tired of the pandemic or the social justice movement that swept through America by the time we air.” We just had to deal with it.
HORTON | The good news, on top of that, is the nature of our show is about healing, just innately. This year, really, is about healing from all of that. It’s about acknowledging [those issues], bringing them forward, because we have to. We can’t ignore it. We have to bring it forward and find ways to heal, find our way through them, not just dwell in them and feel the suffering that we’ve all felt. It’s acknowledging the suffering, and then the change to, “How do we heal? How do we each do it?”
SCHULNER | What we’ve tried to do [is take the] stories [that] aren’t being told and focus on those. What’s the psychological toll on kids who are cut off from their friends and socialization? Those issues weren’t being talked about at the beginning of the pandemic, because we were all just fighting for our lives. But we knew that those stories were going to be told, eventually, and we wanted to be the ones to tell them. So one of our earliest episodes is about the effects on kids, just from being isolated from each other. Everyone knows the story of the first wave, the second wave, the third wave, the ICUs, the ventilators, and we’re trying to go beyond those to tell more human stories and stories that maybe the mainstream news isn’t reporting, but [that] are just as important, nonetheless.
TVLINE | It’s obviously a big deal when it comes to Vijay and his condition. Why did you decide to have him be the character within the hospital who would contract COVID?
SCHULNER | We are using footage from our pandemic episode from Season 2. In that episode, Kapoor caught the influenza virus, and it gave us an opportunity to use this footage that we shot, some of it in our large Bellevue atrium that we obviously can’t shoot at anymore. So it worked on a lot of levels to have Kapoor be the one to contract the virus, and as the oldest physician in our cast, he was obviously the one most vulnerable to it and the most susceptible to dying from it. He was obviously the most dramatic choice.
HORTON | And beloved. That’s always good when a beloved character’s in jeopardy. [Laughs]
HORTON | We’re definitely honoring the seriousness of this. That was part of the plot, as well. You can’t really have a show that takes place at ground zero for this pandemic and not have the impact of that be demonstrated through one of your main characters. So it’s serious, what he’s going through, and it’s a real challenge for him. We’re not pulling any punches with that.
SCHULNER | Well, he’s only returning to do Vijay’s surgery, and it gave us a great opportunity to bring Reynolds back for at least one episode to do this surgery. He was going to be living in San Francisco, practicing at another hospital as of last year, and again, none of this was planned. Season 2 didn’t end with any of this or set up any of this, because we didn’t know it was going to happen. Like everyone else’s lives [which] got interrupted and went down a road no one anticipated, it’s true for the characters on our show. All their stories from last year are interrupted and put on hold or diverted or completely upended, and we’re following through on that.
TVLINE | We have Max, as the head of the hospital, with all of this on his shoulders, and he’s also been separated from Luna for a very long time. What can you preview about his arc this year?
HORTON | Max’s first two years, he was a hero. He was going in, solving all these problems in the hospital, and [he was] very capable. He’d have his struggles, but these are hills he could climb and get over. One of the things that this pandemic has done has made these hills into mountains, and what you’ll see is how much harder it is for him to try and make this system work, to make anything work, and it’s like he says in the first episode: “I don’t really even want to fix it anymore. I want to tear it down.” It’s revealed such steep climbs to these problems, that he’s going to struggle a lot more and to be humbled a lot more this year than he has been in the past.
SCHULNER | Yeah, there are no quick fixes this year.

Passenger Patrick Kehoe, 23, arrived for his Ryanair flight at Dublin Airport in the early hours.
However, he was told that he had missed his boarding time and the gates were closed.
After hearing this, he then stormed the tarmac before yelling at the pilot to wait.
Police officers stopped him from entering the plane that was taxiing and arrested him.
The flight to Amsterdam departed late but landed in the country on time.
BBC reporter Declan Harvey was at the airport and tweeted: “A late passenger has been pinned to the ground by Dublin Airport police after running out of the terminal towards the plane and shouting at the pilot to wait.
“Moments earlier he’d been inside banging on the window of the terminal asking ground crew to hold the plane. He somehow made it out to the Ryanair aircraft which was taxiing.
“When police arrived there was a scuffle and he was pinned to the tarmac.”
The passenger was brought before Dublin’s district court and has been released on his own bond of £178.
A Dublin Airport spokesman told BBC: “A male and female passenger were late for a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam this morning and arrived at the boarding gate after the flight had closed.
“They were engaging with Ryanair staff at the gate and the male passenger was becoming agitated.
“He was banging on the window to try and get the aircraft to wait… and made his way onto the apron, trying to flag the aircraft down.”
Ryanair confirmed: “Police at Dublin Airport detained an individual who breached security at the boarding gate, which had already closed. This is now a matter for local police.”
A different man who was running late for his plane earlier this year made a fake bomb threat in a bid to delay his flight.
The man called Gatwick Airport making a bomb threat in a bid to keep his Norwegian flight on the tarmac.
He made it to the airport after the flight was held, however the call was later traced to his phone.
The passenger was arrested following the hoax bomb call and has since been jailed for 10 months.
The flight took off 90 minutes later than scheduled.
Police in Cincinnati, Ohio, have released bodycam footage that shows an officer arrest an 11-year-old shoplifter after tasering her, and telling the girl “this is why there aren’t any grocery stores in the black community.”
The incident happened last month when officer Kevin Brown was working a security detail at a Kroger’s grocery store in Cincinnati. Brown witnessed three girls shoplifting and asked them to stop as they left the store.
When the girls refused, Brown fired his taser at one of the girls, then handcuffed her and led her to the back of the store, according to a police review. Only then did Brown turn on his bodycam.
“The use of force review of the incident found that Brown violated several department rules including using a TASER without giving a verbal warning he was about to do so, using a TASER when not reasonably necessary and expressing prejudice concerning race.” #Cincinnati#policehttps://t.co/tar3uZHktV
— Michelle Franzen (@MichelleFranzen) September 6, 2018
“The last thing I want to do is tase you like that,” Brown lectures the girl in the video. “That hurt my heart to do that to you. Then I got to listen to all these idiots out here in the parking lot tell me how I was wrong for tasing you. You broke the law, and you fled.”
The young girl was found to have stolen just over $ 50 worth of goods, including candy, beef jerky, and baby clothes. She told Brown that the baby clothes were for a friend, who had a little brother.
Brown sighs on hearing this and continues: “You know what sweetheart, this is why there aren’t any grocery stores in the black community, because of all of this going on.”
Paramedics removed the taser barbs from the girl, who was later taken to the a nearby hospital for evaluation and released. The police review found that Officer Brown tased the girl without giving appropriate warning, showed racial prejudice, and knew she “did not appear to be a threat to himself or others.”
He has been placed on restricted duty, and will now face a disciplinary hearing. The girl was charged with theft and appeared before Hamilton County Juvenile Court several days later, but prosecutors dismissed her case.
