There is growing fear among senior figures in the palace that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could agree to an explosive tell-all interview if the Queen doesn’t give them what they want. ITV’s Tom Bradby suggested that the royal couple would reveal disparaging details about the royal family, including bullying towards Meghan. Speaking on Good Morning Britain, broadcaster and journalist Andrew Pierce savaged this threat as childish.

He said: “But Harry’s threat, via his friend Tom Bradby, to do an interview is the sign of a petulant child.”

This attack on Prince Harry comes as the underfire royal is set to attend unprecedented crisis talks with Queen and senior royals today.

Meghan is likely to dial in from Canada for the summit at Sandringham, while Harry will be joined by the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William.

It will be the first face-to-face meeting between the main members of the family since Harry and Meghan dropped their bombshell announcement on Wednesday.

The crunch meeting comes after five days of chaos amid claims that the Sussexes feel “driven out” of the royal family.

The Queen is demanding a swift resolution to prevent long-lasting damage to the monarchy.

He told a friend: “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more, we’re separate entities.

“I’m sad about that. All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page.”

According to insiders today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel that they have been pushed out of the royal family by Prince William’s “bullying attitude”.

Sources also told the Daily Mail that Harry is understood to be in turmoil over his decision to ditch his senior royal role.

Talks today will centre on how much time the couple intend to spend in North America and in the UK, and where Archie will be raised.

The funding and royal duties of the pair will also be a hotly-debated topic at Sandringham.

Michael Cohen’s shell company, Essential Consultants LLC, reportedly agreed to cancel the nondisclosure agreement that bound the adult-film actress Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an affair she said she had with Donald Trump in 2006.

Essential Consultants said it would squash the agreement in a status report filed on Friday, but requested a reimbursement of the original $ 130,000 that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, received as part of the contract, according to a CNN report.

Comey doesn’t really know about Trump & Russia

Speculations about Trump’s potential ties to the Kremlin keep swirling without producing much in the way of evidence. Among them are rumors that Moscow has some damaging materials on Trump that it can use as leverage against him. Outlined in the infamous Steele Dossier are some salacious details about Trump’s stay in Moscow during a beauty pageant (keywords ‘pee tape’). Asked if he believes Moscow could possibly be holding Trump on a tight leash, Comey essentially said that he has no clue.

“I think it’s possible. I don’t know. These are more words I never thought I’d utter about a president of the United States, but it’s possible,” he told ABC News’ chief anchor, George Stephanopoulos, before adding that it “always struck and still strikes” him as “unlikely.” Most mainstream US media chose to latch onto the “it’s possible” part, though.

He couldn’t imagine Clinton losing

Speaking about his decision to go public about the FBI restarting the Hillary Clinton email probe, Comey conceded that part of his inner reasoning might have been that Clinton should not have a skeleton in a closet once she becomes president – which he had no doubt that she would.

“I don’t remember consciously thinking about that, but it must have been… That — that she’s going to be elected president, and if I hide this from the American people, she’ll be illegitimate the moment she’s elected, the moment this comes out,” Comey said.

“I was operating in a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump,” he added.

‘Hope we had no impact on election, but I’d do the same again’

After Clinton’s stunning defeat, the former FBI chief became a kind of an anti-hero for many Democrats, who blamed him for their candidate’s underperformance. Clinton herself pointed a finger at Comey, writing in her book that if it were not for his “dramatic intervention,” she would have grabbed the White House. Comey admitted that he had the same concerns, but he eventually came to the conclusion that it would not have changed the final score.

“God, I hope we had no impact. I hope we had no impact. But it — I know — I worry it sounds arrogant to say, but it — it wouldn’t change the result.”

“I really wouldn’t have done it any differently,” he said.

Comey didn’t tell Trump Steele dossier was paid for by Clinton allies

Comey revealed that, while he alerted Trump to the existence of the ‘Steele dossier’ containing potentially compromising “additional material” on him, he did not consider it ‘necessary for his goal’ to tell him that it had been funded by Team Clinton.

“No, I didn’t,” Comey said in a pre-published excerpt from the interview, when asked if he had told Trump about the link. Pressed whether he thought Trump was entitled to know that the dossier “had been financed by his political opponents,” Comey responded that he “doesn’t know an answer to that.”

The former FBI chief admitted he knew all along that the report was funded initially by a rival Republican source, and then by a “Democratic-aligned group trying to get opposition research on Trump,” but did not have the details.

In October last year, it was revealed that the dossier had been funded by Fusion GPS, led by Glenn Simpson. Clinton herself repeatedly denied any prior knowledge of the “dossier.”

Comey really, really doesn’t like Trump (and the feeling’s mutual)

A verbal war between Trump and Comey has exacerbated recently, as the former FBI chief touted his book on Twitter, and the US president responded in his usual indignant fashion. Comey predictably did not hold back either when speaking about his former boss on ABC.

In his book, Comey portrays Trump as a mafia-style boss. That’s because, he says in the interview, the US leader puts personal loyalty and his family above the interests of the state.

“The loyalty oaths, the boss as the dominant center of everything, it’s all about how do you serve the boss, what’s in the boss’s interests. It’s the family, the family, the family, the family. That’s why it reminds me so much,” he said.

While Comey doesn’t “buy this stuff” about Trump being physically or mentally unfit for duty, he said the president is “morally unfit,” as he “treats women like they’re pieces of meat” and lies “constantly about matters big and small.”

Trump “will stain everyone around him,” Comey said, adding that he “doesn’t know” how much “stain” would render one incapable of serving the country.

The president, of course, held nothing back, either – though he was somewhat less sophisticated – calling Comey “slippery,” a “slime ball” and “the WORST FBI Director in history” on Twitter.

President Donald Trump unloaded on the Russia investigation and Michael Wolff, the author of an explosive new tell-all book during a press conference with reporters at Camp David on Saturday.

In the book, former White House chief strategist and head of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, is quoted eviscerating Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., his daughter Ivanka Trump, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. 

During the press conference, Trump called the book a “work of fiction” and said it was a “disgrace” that Wolff could “do something like this.”

“Libel laws are very weak in this country,” Trump said. “If they were stronger, hopefully, you would not have something like that happen.”

He added that Wolff did not know him at all and did not interview him, though he then said Wolff interviewed him once “a long time ago” for a magazine story. 

“I guess ‘Sloppy Steve’ [Bannon] brought him into the White House a lot,” Trump said. “That’s why ‘Sloppy Steve’ is looking for a job.”

In a noteworthy exchange Friday during an interview with “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, Wolff said every single person around Trump, including senior aides and family members, questioned his intelligence and fitness for office.

Trump defended his intelligence in a series of Saturday morning tweets, saying his “two greatest assets” were his “mental stability and being, like, really smart.”

He added that he believed he was a “very stable genius.”

Asked during the press conference why he tweeted about his mental stability, Trump replied, “Only because I went to the best colleges, or college. I went to a — I had a situation where I was a very excellent student, came out and made billions and billions of dollars.”

He continued, saying that he then pursued a television career and was a “tremendous success, as you probably have heard. Ran for president one time and won.”

‘No collusion’ and ‘no crime’

Reporters also touched on a recent New York Times report that said Trump asked White House counsel Don McGahn to convince Attorney General not to recuse himself from the FBI’s Russia investigation last year. Sessions recused himself last March when it emerged that he had failed to disclose his contacts with former Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak during his Senate confirmation hearing in January 2017. 

Calling the Times story “way off,” Trump said, “Everything I’ve done is 100% proper. That’s what I do is I do things proper.”

“Collusion now is dead,” he added. “Because everybody found out after a year of study there has been absolutely no collusion.”

He went back to a frequent target, former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and accused her, as well as the Democratic National Committee, of colluding with Russia. 

When a reporter asked Trump to specify how the Times’ story was “off,” Trump said, “You’ll find out. But the story was off.”

“If [special counsel] Robert Mueller asks you to come and speak with his committee personally, are you committed still to doing that?” another reporter asked.

Trump reiterated that there was “no collusion” and “no crime.” He also repeated another claim he’s frequently mentioned in the past, saying that “everybody tells me I’m not under investigation.”

Trump is a critical figure in several threads of Mueller’s investigation, and he is the central subject in the obstruction-of-justice case Mueller is said to be building.

The case is based on Trump’s decision to fire FBI director James Comey last May. The White House initially said Comey was fired because of the way he handled the bureau’s probe into Clinton’s use of a private email server.

But Trump later told NBC’s Lester Holt that “this Russia thing” was a key factor in his decision. He also reportedly told two Russian officials during an Oval Office meeting one day after terminating Comey that the FBI director’s firing had taken “great pressure” off of him. 

Trump said Saturday that he and the White House have been “very open” in cooperating with Mueller’s team. “We could have done it two ways. We could have been very closed and it would have taken years. But you know, sort of, like, when you’ve done nothing wrong, let’s be open and get it over with, because honestly, it’s very, very bad for our country and it’s making us look foolish.”

He added that “this is a country that I don’t want looking foolish, and it’s not going to look foolish as long as I’m here. So we’ve been very open and we just want to get that over with.”

Former interim Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile dismissed critics of her scathing new 2016 campaign memoir.

In an interview on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, Brazile brushed off Democrats telling her that she was reopening wounds of the 2016 Democratic primary, saying that if she had waited to release her book, Democrats would accuse her of impacting the 2018 midterm elections.

A longtime Democratic operative, Brazile was tapped to lead the embattled DNC after former chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned in July after leaked internal emails that showed key members of her organization speaking critically of Sen. Bernie Sanders in his primary fight against Hillary Clinton.

In her new book set for release on Tuesday, Brazile has pulled few punches about the missteps of both the Clinton campaign and the DNC led by Wasserman Schultz.

“For those telling me to shut up, they told Hillary that a couple months ago. You know what I tell them? Go to hell,” Brazile said Sunday. “I’m going to tell my story.”

“Why am I supposed to be the only person who is unable to tell my story?” she added.

In the book, Brazile writes that she considered finding a replacement for Clinton when she struggled to walk at a 9/11 memorial service, lamented the lack of enthusiasm in Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn, and blamed Wasserman Schutz for allowing the Clinton campaign to essentially control the DNC’s finances a year before she officially became the party’s nominee.

Brazile has faced pushback from several former members of the Clinton campaign.

On Saturday, 100 former top members of the campaign signed an open letter to the former interim DNC chair, saying they “do not recognize the campaign she portrays in the book.”

“We are pretty tired of people who were not part of our campaign telling the world what it was like to be on the inside of our campaign and how we felt about it,” the letter said.

During Sunday’s interview, Brazile shot back, advising the former staffers to “take a page from Hillary’s book” and write their own, if they are unsatisfied with her portrayal of the campaign.

“Hillary wrote a book, which I enjoyed reading,” Brazile said. “It was part memoir; it was a history book. I loved reading her book. If they don’t like my book, don’t buy it.”
