Pennsylvania GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano touted an endorsement from Joseph Kolakowski, an ultra-orthodox rabbi who expressed sympathy for Capitol rioters and believes Hitler was part lizard.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Mastriano shared a story by the Epoch Times, a far-right publication, with his supporters on social media with the headline: "Rabbi Endorses Mastriano as Shapiro Calls Him Antisemitic in Pennsylvania Gov. Race."
In the article, Kolakowski — who leads a Hasidic Jewish ministry in Pennsylvania — defended Mastriano, saying, "while the Democrats have the chutzpah to claim that those of us from the Party of Lincoln are somehow racist, they do not look at the racist tenants of their own party, including abortion and gun control, both of which cause undue and disproportionate harm to people of color, and are historically rooted in openly racist ideologies."
The Inquirer reported the 38-year-old rabbi frequently posts on his YouTube channel about unfounded claims of fraud in the 2020 election, his support for Capital rioters, and believing in a theory that Adolf Hitler was part lizard.
In one video about the Nazi dictator, the rabbi said there's "a reason why he never took off his boots."
"[It] was to hide the fact that his feet were reptilian in nature because he came from this nonhuman race, demonic race. He was a hybrid."
In an interview with the news outlet, Kolakowski said he felt Mastriano was being "unfairly maligned" as antisemitic. He said he reached out to the state senator's campaign and was asked to write something. His statements were later published in the Epoch Times.
Jewish leaders and Democrats have criticized the Trump-backed candidate for his ties to far-right extremists and his efforts to garner support on Gab, a social network founded by a self-described Christian nationalist.
Mastriano praised the site's founder, Andrew Torba, who has said Jews are not welcome in his movement. Insider reported that Mastriano also paid the site $ 5,000, per campaign finance filings.
Mastriano is running against Democratic candidate Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania's gubernatorial race. Recent polls show Shapiro ahead of his opponent by 7.3 points.
Mastriano's campaign and Kolakowski did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was handed a mixture of sympathy and skepticism on social media after he revealed he played the last three games in his team’s NBA Finals defeat with a broken hand.
Following Friday’s defeat to the Golden State Warriors – which handed Stephen Curry and Co. a 4-0 sweep and their third title in four years – James revealed he had injured his hand after Game 1 when he punched a blackboard in the locker room in a fit of anger.
“I let the emotions get the best of me and pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand,” James said at press conference after Friday’s 108-85 loss in Cleveland, where he appeared with his right hand in a cast.

Many NBA fans reacted to the announcement and the Cavs’ defeat with sympathy for a player who many felt had “carried the team” during the finals.
You're still the best, @KingJames you carried the team this season & u made it up to the finals. Impressive. 💯

Lebron really played with a serious hand injury and didn’t say a single word all series
— Brandon Awadis (@brawadis) 9 June 2018
LeBron James broke his hand! Now maybe the Cavs will finally get him the supporting cast he needs.
— Not Bill Walton (@NotBillWalton) 9 June 2018
LeBron deserves the loudest ovation he’s ever had. This team had no business being here. He entered an unprecedented gear during the playoffs just to backpack this group
— Shane Young (@YoungNBA) 9 June 2018
However, some said the focus on James’ injury was an unwelcome distraction from the achievements of the Warriors – or even a convenient excuse following a comprehensive series defeat.
Could’ve done without his brace drama. Whether you believe he’s injured or not, he didn’t need it the past few postgame pressers but he sure knows how to over-dramatize everything.
— Jay Kramer (@jayshark11) 9 June 2018
NBA TV, LeBron hand injury:
Grant Hill: "If you didn't mention it before, don't mention it now."
Charles Barkley: "It bothers the hell out of me (LeBron mentioning it now)."
Chris Webber: "I don't like the narrative, it takes away from how great Durant and the Warriors played."— Jason McIntyre (@jasonrmcintyre) 9 June 2018
@bgtennisnation Thoughts on LeBron coming out with a cast and claiming he's had a near "broken hand" since game one? Methinks this is an extremely weak look. You play, you don't bring up injuries after you lose. Period.
— Fictional Frontiers (@FFrontiers) June 9, 2018
LMFAOOO All the Lebron fans who made the dumb Injury Excuse jokes about Steph Curry all playoffs long are now spouting injury excuses on the TL 😭😭😭
You love to see it man. Steph severely outplays Lebron in the series ending game and the tables turn real quick. pic.twitter.com/ZZeOp7FfrE

The debate also raged over the defeat meant for three-time NBA champion James and his potential GOAT status – with some heralding the Cavs star as the greatest of all time despite the finals sweep.
Historic ass year for my MVP! The GOAT 👑🐐👏🏽. Lebron James !! He played EVERY single game this year & gave it his all! 1000% ( blood, sweat & tears ) !! He is Exhausted man, glad he gets to rest & I BETTER NOT see any Lebron slander pic.twitter.com/nXgrkLvwTS
— Eunique (@Eunique_ny) 9 June 2018
Lebron James is the GOAT no doubts
— Ruben Beasley (@itskingbeasley) 9 June 2018
If only I could fly to Cleveland Ohio right now and give Lebron James an individual trophy….. I WOULD !!! I have nothing but respect for this man! Don’t let this loss take away from who he is! A GOAT 🐐 It’s not over…. he’ll be back.
— Janerika Owens 🎬🎥 (@msjaehasclas) 9 June 2018
However, former NBA star Charles Barkley clearly dismissed the idea that the Cavs star could be compared to Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan.
James, 33, said after the game that he had “no idea” if he had played his last game for the Cavs, with speculation that he could move on when he becomes a free agent next month.
Wherever he moves, the fans and detractors will no doubt follow.

Juventus had performed an unbelievable comeback to tie the aggregate score at 3-3 before Lucas Vazquez was fouled in the penalty area in the dying seconds.
Buffon was sent off in the aftermath for raging at referee Michael Oliver but Ronaldo was not impressed with the remonstrations.
The Real Madrid forward duly stepped up to smash the resulting spot kick into the top corner past substitute shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny.
The goal sparked wild jubilation from the home supporters as Ronaldo wheeled away having rescued his side’s European hopes once again.
But after the match he was less than impressed with Buffon for getting sent off.
“I don’t understand why they are protesting,” he said.
“Lucas was tackled from behind and if they don’t give him the penalty, it’s a goal.”
Meanwhile, Buffon was furious with Oliver and was captured in the tunnel venting his anger further.
“The referee has a trash can for a heart,” the goalkeeper said.
Ronaldo also explained how his heart was racing as he prepared to take the spot kick.
But the 33-year-old revealed he was able to regain his composure before sending his side through to the semi-finals.
“The pulse increased, but I calmed down, and I knew I’d be decisive,” he added.
“We have suffered, but it helps us to learn.
“In football, nothing is given away, you have to fight until the end.
“Madrid could’ve scored more goals, but Juve and Buffon were good.”
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri was equally as disgusted with the result following the late heart-break.
And the Italian explained how he had already begun planning for extra-time.
“I have a bitter taste as we didn’t have the chance to go to extra-time,” Allegri said.
“Both sides would’ve deserved that I think.
“Small details changed the whole tie unfortunately.
“I had two more substitutions planned for extra-time and I was confident we could do it.”
Real join Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Roma in Friday’s semi-final draw.
The Frenchman took charge of his 811th Gunners league game, taking him past Alex Ferguson’s Premier League record of 810.
But his side were denied victory by Jay Rodriguez’s 89th-minute penalty, awarded for handball against Calum Chambers to the fury of Wenger and his players.
Arsenal had taken the lead six minutes earlier after a deflected Alexis Sanchez free-kick found its way into the West Brom net via a deflection off James McClean.
The penalty was a decision described on Sky Sports by pundits as “awful” by former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, and “horrendous” by Jamie Redknapp. Former referee Dermot Gallagher declared: “it wasn’t a penalty”’.
West Brom boss Alan Pardew told Sky Sports: “When you keep talking to a team about doing the right things, application and ‘learning your luck,’ when it doesn’t happen it is hard.
“But we got something today at last. The decision is a tough one on Arsenal. I’ve seen it and wow, he could not have given it, could have given it, whatever, but we deserved the break.
“If we put that much commitment and effort in, we will get enough breaks to win.
“Turning points are always strange in these situations. We need to win a game, we still haven’t got that win, and we’ve had a lot of draws, more than any team in the Premier League. We’ve got to turn them into wins. We’ve got to get that second or third goal.”
Wenger moaned that referees remain untouchable after he tried to talk to the whistle blower.
“It’s disappointing to see that but what can you do? You can talk and talk and talk but it doesn’t change anything.
“I would like to remind that I did fight very hard with David Dein [former FA vice-chairman] many years ago that the referees become professional but their level, unfortunately, doesn’t go up.”
Did he think the decision was 100% incorrect?
“Yes in my opinion. It’s difficult to accept. It’s more than the decision that is involved in that and it is not the first time it has happened. But it’s best we don’t talk about. We know deeply what it is going on and we just have to deal with it.”
Wenger hailed the VAR concept and called for it to be introduced to the PL.
“It’s time,” he said. “I don’t know why we want to be the best league in the world and wait for such a long time when other leagues use it already.”
The Gunners had been frustrated for much of the game by a resolute Albion. Arsenal made the brighter start but might have found themselves trailing to the first chance of the game on six minutes.
A weaving run down the right flank by Matt Phillips ended with a cross for Rodriguez, who leapt highest but headed too close to Petr Cech and the Arsenal goalkeeper made a solid save, diving to his left.
Cech handed the Baggies another chance moments later when he spilled a high cross by Kieran Gibbs at the feet of Hal Robson-Kanu.
The Wales striker’s effort was blocked and Arsenal then snuffed out Jake Livermore’s effort to keep the move alive.
That sparked an Arsenal counter-attack as the Gunners worked the ball to the edge of the area, where Alexandre Lacazette hit a shot that deflected wide.
And on 16 minutes a neat pass by Sanchez found Alex Iwobi, who wriggled away from Jonny Evans and bent a shot just past the angle of post and crossbar.
West Brom continued to pass the ball neatly but the Gunners threatened on the break and a long-range effort by Granit Xhaka was saved comfortably by Ben Foster, who then turned another shot from distance from Iwobi behind for a corner.
– West Brom pressure –
The hosts began the second half on the front foot, with Rodriguez forcing Chambers into a desperate challenge.
The visitors had failed to fire early in the second half but West Brom needed Foster to keep them at bay on the hour mark.
The Albion goalkeeper made a smart, low save to keep out a shot from Lacazette, who had played a neat one-two with Iwobi before riding two challenges on the edge of the area.
And moments later Lacazette poked a shot just wide after Sanchez had picked him out with a neat pass.
Arsenal had increasingly run out of ideas and an ambitious, long-range shot from Iwobi that Foster held easily was a sure sign of the visitors’ frustration.
The hosts threatened when Livermore arrived at the near post to meet a cross by substitute McClean but his effort was blocked by Cech. And Cech was then forced to beat away a shot from distance by Rodriguez.
But with seven minutes remaining the Gunners claimed the lead when Sanchez won the decisive free-kick. He was tripped on the edge of the 18-yard box by a combination of Gareth Barry and Craig Dawson.
The Chilean let fly with an effort that struck McClean’s leg and defeated Foster.
But just minutes later Albion were level as Chambers was punished harshly for blocking a Kieran Gibbs cross with his arm and Rodriguez drilled the resulting penalty low past Cech.
Wenger lost his cool on the touchline and was subjected to a lengthy lecture from the referee.
1 | Outlander readers: Isn’t the Starz series making you feel all sorts of bad for Frank in a way the books didn’t?
Four men – Christian Dickens, 22, Aaron Jensen, 23, and two 21-year-olds, who were underage at the time and therefore cannot be named – are accused of attacking a girl who was 15 at a house party in 2012 in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
The girl went to police with her allegations in 2013, but did not make a formal statement until 2015, after which the accused were all charged with at least one count of aggravated sexual assault in company.
In her closing address, Crown prosecutor Belinda Baker asked the jury at Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court to consider whether she had successfully proved each of the 13 indictments “beyond reasonable doubt”.
“As you look at these four young men, you may feel some sympathy towards them… [and] towards the complainant, which the Crown alleges has been subjected to a number of sexual assaults at the hands of the accused,” Baker said.
“Look at the evidence dispassionately and without emotion or sympathy.”
Baker recapped the alleged victim’s evidence.
The alleged victim said she remembered waking in a dark room to find herself drenched in water while one of the unnamed boys – who is charged with seven counts of aggravated sexual assault in company, as well as resisting arrest – was having sex with her.
Jensen then allegedly joined the boy to assault the girl while she begged them to stop, the court has been told.
“[The alleged victim] said it was painful, it was hurting, it was sore,” Baker reminded the jury on Friday.
“She said that she told them to get out and stop. She said that her voice was slurred and it wasn’t very loud but that she knew they heard her because they told her she loved it.”
They allegedly digitally penetrated her vagina and anus which was “painful,” Baker said.
“They told her she was a lad lover and that she wanted it.”
It is then alleged Dickens, who is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company, tried to get the girl to perform a sex act on him while the second unnamed boy tried to force her into oral sex, Baker said.
The girl has alleged she was still in the room with Jensen when police officers knocked on the door of the house, and Jensen covered her mouth and she was too weak to call out, so the alleged sexual assaults continued, Baker told the court. The alleged victim has said she eventually pushed Jensen and the first unnamed boy off her, and they left the room.
Over the course of the trial, defence barristers for the four men have said there has been no evidence given which corroborates the alleged victim’s account that police officers knocked on the door.
On Thursday, the jury at Downing Centre District Court was played a video of an interview with Jensen and Detective Matt Clancy of Springwood police force conducted three years after the alleged assault.
In the footage, Jensen denied the allegations of sexual assault.
Jensen said he had “met personally” the alleged victim only once when he claims she verbally abused him on a train months after the house party, but he told Clancy: “I wouldn’t touch her with your dick, put it that way.”
Jensen said he remembered being so intoxicated at the party that he passed out in front of the house but said he later walked past the bedroom and saw “what looked like two people having sex”.
When he was told by Clancy that the girl’s statement claimed Jensen covered her mouth and told her not to say anything when police knocked on the door, Jensen responded: “That is the biggest made up bullshit ever, what the actual fuck.”
Jensen, according to the girl’s statement, then pulled up her shirt and showed her breasts to a group of boys huddled at the door of the room.
“I already told you I had nothing to do with it I just walked past and had a laugh,” Jensen told the detective.
On Wednesday two police officers were cross-examined on statements they took from the alleged victim.
In an earlier statement taken by officer Nick Campbell of Springwood police station, he wrote “[the alleged victim] said at the time she was so intoxicated that she couldn’t remember if she consented to the sex or not.”
Meredith Phelps, the barrister for one of the unnamed men, asked Campbell: “The only thing that she is unclear about, the only aspect of her account given to you that was unclear was the issue of consent?”
“Yes, she wasn’t sure about if she consented,” he answered.
Baker reminded the jury the alleged victim, who was aged 15 years and nine months at the time of the alleged attack, had, even by a conservative estimation, “consumed around a litre of cheap wine”.
One witness told the court she had “never seen anyone [as drunk as the alleged victim] before” while another party guest described the alleged victim as “pretty drunk and tipping over”, another as “stumbling” and another as “not really OK, very drunk and wobbly”.
Baker explained that consent involved a person “freely and voluntarily” agreeing to each sexual act and asked the jury to consider the effect the alleged victim’s intoxication might impact her ability to consent.
The alleged victim’s mother testified last Monday that in the weeks that followed the party, her daughter became “very short tempered”.
“[She was] very moody, very angry, quite aggressive and she would be up all night … sometimes I would wake up and I would be able to hear her crying in the lounge room.”
The trial continues.
Comedian Kathy Griffin has been dropped by sponsors and fired by CNN after posing in an ill-judged photoshoot with a fake bloody head of US President Donald Trump.
The backlash to the now infamous photo came almost as soon as it was posted Tuesday. “Kathy Griffin” began trending on Twitter worldwide and she achieved the rare feat of angering both conservatives and liberals at the same time.
The 56-year-old posted a video apology on Twitter that evening, but it had little effect as the spiral of negative backlash continued.
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 31, 2017
President Trump himself responded to the photo Wednesday morning, describing it as “sick” and saying it upset his 11-year-old son Barron.
Pressure then turned on Griffin’s sponsors and employers to disassociate themselves from the comedian. CNN social media accounts were flooded with numerous people calling on the network to fire Griffin from her gig co-hosting the New Year’s Eve broadcast from Times Square.
Leading CNN journalist Anderson Cooper said he was “appalled” by the photo, while news anchor Jake Tapper labelled it “disgusting.”
For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.
— Anderson Cooper (@andersoncooper) May 31, 2017
For those asking, I said on air that I thought the beheading imagery by Griffin about the president was disgusting and inappropriate.
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) May 30, 2017
The president’s son, Donald Trump, Jr, posted several tweets urging the network to cut ties with Griffin.
Dear @CNN, I must have missed your statement banning your commentator #KathyGriffin from future shows. Please resend. Thx
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) May 31, 2017
CNN responded to the furor later Wednesday by announcing that Griffin had been dropped as a co-host from its New Year’s Eve program.
CNN has terminated our agreement with Kathy Griffin to appear on our New Year’s Eve program.
— CNN Communications (@CNNPR) May 31, 2017
Griffin was also dropped as the official spokeswoman for Squatty Potty. The company, who make toilet accessories, have also removed an ad campaign featuring Griffin from their website.
“We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today. It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for,” Squatty Potty CEO Bobby Edwards said in a statement to Adweek.
The entire saga has prompted a wave of reaction on social media, with almost none of it sympathetic to Griffin. Former Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee even joked that Satan had distanced himself from the embattled comedian.
By firing Kathy Griffin, @CNN has officially severed ties with its 57th most hysterically anti-Trump broadcaster.
— Michael J. Knowles (@michaeljknowles) May 31, 2017
.@CNN kicked Kathy Griffin off of the New Year’s Eve show, so I’ll go back to my regularly scheduled December 31 plans & still not watch it.
— Kimberly Ross (@SouthernKeeks) May 31, 2017
However, some just thought that the whole furor had run its course and it was time for everyone to move on.
Sorry, the Kathy Griffin story would only merit a second day if that had been his actual head.

The two big stories of the week have been a typo and Kathy Griffin. We all seriously need to find hobbies.

This week we hear from Olivia Sudjic, whose debut, Sympathy, is about online identity, infatuation, and stalking. It follows a woman confronting a void in her past, and beginning to fill it with an obsession over an another woman’s Internet — and then real life — presence. As NPR recently put it, it “could be about falling in love in the digital age. Or it could be about falling down a digital rabbit hole.” With the novel having hit the shelves on April 4, Sudjic spoke to us about everything from balancing teaching with writing, to the wide generation gap social media has engendered, to Phoebe Waller Bridge’s TV series, Fleabag.

What is your elevator pitch to folks in the industry describing your book?
The Talented Mr Ripley with smartphones. A story about how infatuation destabilizes our sense of self and of being alone in an age of ‘connectivity’.
What do you tell your relatives it’s about?
Social Media. I don’t want to sound like a brat; it’s hardly something to be smug about, but people over a certain age live in another world to their kids and grandkids in this respect. They can’t appreciate the extent to which apps like Instagram, and associated algorithms, determine the lives of young people, and how everything can be manipulated. For those readers, this context needs spelling out otherwise certain parts of the plot seem too implausible. That implausibility is part of the point.
How long was this project marinating in a draft or in your head before it became a book deal?
Marinating is a good word. Maybe it was more like composting for me though. I’d say the original idea came to me at the start of 2014 and the book was sold in October 2015, so nearly two years.
Name a canonical book you think is totally overrated.
The Bible.
A book you’ve read more than two times.
Bluets by Maggie Nelson. It’s short.
A book or other piece of art that influenced your writing for this particular project.
Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass.
What’s your favorite show to binge watch when you’re not writing?
Transparent by Jill Soloway. Fleabag by Phoebe Waller-Bridge was also suggested to me after I wrote Sympathy, the final episode knocked me out.
What’s the last movie you saw in theaters?
Toni Erdmann, by Maren Ade.
Do you listen to music while you’re writing? If so, what kind?
No. The only time I did while writing Sympathy was when I wanted to get myself into the right frame of mind to write something that I didn’t know how to do. I tried to listen to Sampha in order to write an emotional scene, but it didn’t work because what emotion can you add to Sampha? Then a friend recommended I listen to counter-intuitive music, so I listened to shit upbeat pop, basically Kiss FM, and that worked much better.
Who is your fashion icon?
Phoebe Philo. Even her name is perfect.
If you could buy a house anywhere in the world just to write in, where would it be?
First reaction is somewhere remote, bright but cold with mountains and/or lakes. Somewhere with a view, where I wouldn’t be tempted to go outside too much except for mulling-over walks. Somewhere like Iona, an island in Scotland. In reality, I need coffee shops and people to watch whose language I speak. Maybe upstate New York? Is Trump in power in this fantasy?
What did you initially want to be when you grew up?
My dad wanted me to be an architect, and I obliged as a child insofar as I liked drawing plans of my dream house — I took apart his furniture and made elaborate dens. But then I started saying I wanted to be an author and illustrator at the age of eight or so. I wanted to be Quentin Blake and Roald Dahl in one. Then there was a phase of liking the sound of “Interior Designer” when I began trying to turn my parents’ very minimalist apartment into a kind of homage to Victoriana with curtain tassels. Then I graduated in a recession with an arts degree and thought maybe I should be a lawyer, but I did an internship and realized I’d be hopeless, so I spent a while on the millennial snowflake job safari before coming back to writing when I was twenty-five.
Did you have a new years resolution for 2017? If so, what?
Finish reading books I start. I’m terrified by how little I can concentrate on reading at the moment. Don’t be too masochistic or read all the reviews of my first book if/when they come out this Spring. Write a second novel by October that is wildly different to the first.
What freaks you out the most about four years of Trump as US President?
As someone living in the U.K., his gaslight approach to fact and fiction. Everyone will slowly go mad.
Do you prefer a buzzing coffee shop or silent library?
Coffee shop for the initial stages of writing when silence is a deafening distraction. Then privacy (but not a library) for when the stabilizers come off and I need to prowl around the same room for twenty-four hours at a time and pee in a bottle if the urge arises when I’m right in the middle of something good.
Do you write at a desk, bed or couch?
Desk and couch. Edit anywhere. I should add I don’t need to be stationary; mainline trains are excellent places to write.
Is morning writing or late-night writing your go-to-time?
Late night. I need to feel like time is almost up before I can really get going.
Do you tend towards writing it all out in one big messy draft and then editing, or perfecting as you go (or something in between)?
I’ve only ever done this once before so I’m trying to fine tune my process at the moment with my second book, but definitely messy draft. I collect fragments together then see if I can make something out of it. I’d like it to become less like that, more deliberate. I’m trying to be more spare with my writing. I think that because Sympathy was the first thing I’d ever seriously tried to write, a lot came rushing out and now I can be a bit calmer and more discerning.
How do you pay the bills, if not solely by your pen and your wit?
Tutoring, eBaying off my shit, credit card, and the occasional meal from a benevolent baby boomer. I moved into my parents’ house, then my grandparents’ house, and then my other grandparents’ house — a total of two years living rent-free — in order to get my first book done. I still teach but I’m trying to be strict with how many hours I do. There’s no point quitting a job to write if you’re just going to be busy finding other ways to make money. Better to be relatively broke but with focus… though I have no dependents and I’m sure that changes everything.
What is your trick to finding time to write your book while also doing the above?
I don’t really do both at once because I can’t fully inhabit a work of fiction of my own if I need to go teach someone Cat on A Hot Tin Roof and talk to them about their exam stress. It’s like trying to remember a dream after you’ve already been out of bed doing normal things for a while. I carve up my time so that there might be three consecutive months where I’m tutoring solidly all week, doing bits of journalism, admin and tax returns etc. I don’t beat myself up for not writing. It’s composting time. I make notes and jot down ideas or plot structure, but that’s it. Then when I have a critical mass of those notes and just enough cash to see me through for a few months, I hit pause on money-making schemes and live like a nun, see no one, go nowhere, eat beans. It’s a bit selfish, I might have to rethink it.

Kailyn Lowry felt very uncomfortable when her estranged husband, Javi Marroquin, returned home from his deployment on this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2. Javi was excited to see his children after spending six months away from them, but he had no idea how his life would be now that he didn’t have a home to come back to, a wife who was busy with divorce filings, and how he had to go purchase all of his belongings again. He couldn’t even borrow his children’s car seats from his wife without her making a scene. And now, it sounds like Kailyn may be looking for some understanding and perhaps even sympathy because she doesn’t know how someone could tear someone else apart without knowing them.
According to a new tweet, Kailyn Lowry tweeted a question to her followers about how people treat one another, but she made sure to mention that she wasn’t referring to herself. But the question can easily be answered by looking at how she’s treated Javi on the last couple of episodes of Teen Mom 2. If she had treated Javi with some respect, fans probably wouldn’t be so critical of Lowry.

“How do y’all tear people apart without ever meeting them? and I’m not talking about myself. Damn,” Kailyn Lowry tweeted this morning, sharing that she had seen someone being torn apart by another person without knowing them – and then sharing that she wasn’t talking about herself and her possible criticism from Teen Mom 2 viewers recently.
Even though several people wrote back to Lowry, pointing to her own horrible treatment of her estranged husband, Marroquin, some followers respected her tweet and tried to make sense of what she was asking.
“Because ppl r always posting their personal shit on twitter and Facebook inviting us in, then get butt hurt when comments start,” one person speculated, while others added, “Because everyone thinks they have an opinion without realizing the damage they can cause. Everyone is tough behind a computer,” and “Those people are hurting & in their denial they use other people as a distraction from their own lives instead of working on themselves.”
Kailyn Lowry and Javi had only been apart for about six months when they saw one another again. However, she quickly decided to file for divorce shortly after he left. On Kailyn Lowry’s personal website, Lowry revealed that she alone had decided to file for divorce, but she also reveals that she had changed her mind several times about working things out. These days, they are legally divorced, as a judge signed off on the divorce this past fall.
.@KailLowry isn’t the only one who’s mad at @MTV for #TeenMom‘s 100th Episode… –> https://t.co/TctNbuQvxS @TeenMom pic.twitter.com/H00LbJZtG1

“I filed for divorce in December, I have been separated since then. You cannot have a divorce finalized when someone is deployed, but we were separated… Back and forth at times. But we have both seen other people during this time. Were there times we contemplated getting back together? Hell yes. I wanted to keep my family together,” Kailyn Lowry explained on her personal website about her decision to file for divorce, adding, “I did not change my behaviors or my mind on what I wanted/want to do in life. I felt trapped in my own life for a long time. There was also too much outside involvement in the marriage since the beginning, and it has continued up until this point. I made the decision to continue with the divorce.”
What do you think of Kailyn Lowry’s tweet, where she’s possibly asking for understanding and sympathy? Do you think it’s fair that people are criticizing Kailyn based on what has happened on Teen Mom 2, even if viewers don’t know her personally?
