The judge went on to add how she felt the message was really important and offered a “wow” factor to the show.

Taking to social media this week, the mother-of-two also put her support behind the dance troupe when denying reports she had quit.

In view of her 895,900 followers, she wrote: “For the record, I never threatened to quit BGT. I’ve had no conversations with ITV regarding this matter.

“I do however stand by and support @AshleyBanjo and Diversity. #IamNotYourMediaPuppet.”

As promised, Office 365 is ready to wring more out of macOS Mojave. Microsoft has updated the Mac version of its subscription productivity suite with several helpful features, two of which are tied to Apple’s latest software. The obvious one is Dark Mode support — you won’t strain your eyes quite so badly if you’re writing a school essay at night. And if you need to quickly add a photo to your presentation, PowerPoint now supports Mojave’s Continuity Camera feature to let you directly import pictures from your iPhone or iPad.

Not every feature is tied to Mojave. PowerPoint can make grammar and writing style suggestions on top of pointing out spelling errors. Word can embed fonts to preserve the look of your text across devices. And if you use Outlook for email, you can share your calendar, show multiple time zones, use Teams to connect to meetings, see meeting attendees and even prevent forwarding for meeting invitations. In short: this might be a vital upgrade even if you’re not in a rush to adopt the latest macOS release.

Files by Google (formerly Files Go) is helpful if you want an official means of managing the files on your Android phone, but there’s been an obvious limitation: you couldn’t move files to physical storage beyond the phone itself. You won’t have that issue from now on. Google has released an update to Files that introduces support for external storage using USB On-the-Go. If you want to offload photos to a thumb drive, you won’t have to track down third-party software.

The update also lets you see the entire folder structures for storage both on and off the device. You shouldn’t have trouble tracking down a file in an unusual location, or moving it to a specific folder. Simply put, Files is more of a viable alternative to existing managers if you regularly shuttle data back and forth.

Google has introduced a new feature to Maps that will make business reviews more useful. Now, users who leave reviews for local establishments can include hashtags in their write-ups and readers can tap those hashtags to find other businesses with reviews using that same tag. Google told TechCrunch that the feature was rolled out to Android devices about a week ago, but there’s no word yet on when it might arrive on iOS or the web.

The company is suggesting reviewers include up to five hashtags in their posts and that they should be listed at the end of the review. It also notes that reviewers should use specific hashtags like #vegetarian, #goodforselfies, #sunsetviews and #wheelchairaccessible rather than generic terms like #love or #food.

This is just the latest feature to roll out to Google Maps. Recently, Google also began storing user conversations with businesses on Maps, introduced the ability to follow businesses, added functions for groups and ETA sharing and launched a commute tab.

Tonight’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing companion series It Takes Two saw choreographer and dancer Neil Jones make his first appearance on the series following the events of the week before last.

Sean, 32, and Katya, 29, were spotted kissing outside a London pub, and as the pictures surfaced a flurry of media attention continued to increase over the couple.

Some viewers were insistent Seann and Katya needed to quit the BBC competition, but others were looking forward to seeing the “drama” unfold during the live shows.

Amongst this, Katya gave a statement apologising to those she’d “hurt”, but was keen to assure viewers her marriage was fine.

Neil, 35, and Katya have been married for the last three years, but Neil has remained quiet since the scandal took place.

Tonight’s show featured Neil performing some dance moves during a VT, where he discussed the “Couples Choice” on the hugely-popular reality series.

Following some impressive leg kicks and arm movements, Neil’s demonstrations came to an end and Zoe was left giggling.

“Neil Jones dancing there in some incredibly tight trousers,” Zoe joked.

In the middle of an interview with Charles Venn and his professional dance partner Karen Clifton, Zoe attempted to carry on but her guests struggled.

Bursting into laughter, Charles fell down onto the sofa as Zoe continued to share her support for the dancer.

Zoe, 47, declared: “Couldn’t move very well, he couldn’t lunge in those could he!

“Love that boy,” she added affectionately.

Movies Anywhere has become quite the convenient app for streaming most of the digital movies that viewers have acquired over the years. Launched earlier this year as a PSVR exclusive and eventually released for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive last month, adorable adventure game Moss is getting an update to support Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

Now players on all four major VR platforms can get into the immersive, lush, Zelda-esque world of Polyarc’s Moss with its charming little mouse heroine. Players will control Quill and her magical orb to navigate dynamic platforms, solve environmental puzzles and even fight bad guys across several chapters of engagingly beautiful design.

The new update also adds a new Controls sub-menu that enables two new controller layouts to better suit your play style. The first option lets you swap between the default Touch-to-Move style and a new Press-to-Move layout. The developer says that this should help “mitigate a handful of the ghost input issues players have been reporting.” The second option gives players the ability to change the way the Jump and Attack actions are mapped, to “alleviate issues players have been reporting with the Vive want touch pad.”

American carriers have had support for RCS’ next-generation text messaging for a while, but it typically hasn’t been very useful outside of your home network. Unless you’re with Sprint, you haven’t had that universal support needed to chat between networks. Thankfully, that support is widening ever so slightly. T-Mobile is rolling out a software update that brings RCS Universal Profile to “select” Android devices. In theory, you can participate in 100-person group chats (among other benefits) with people using Sprint and other Universal Profile-enabled providers.

The only problem: at present, the update is rolling out solely to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users. If you’re using a newer phone, you’re out of luck. T-Mobile has promised wider support over time, but this won’t help much if you’re a Galaxy S9 owner expecting to get the latest and greatest features. It’s a start, at least, and it does hint at a future where RCS is commonplace.

Google is acting on its promise to banish more passwords. It just released Chrome 67 for the desktop, bringing the Web Authentication standard to what’s arguably the most popular browser. As with Firefox, the technology allows password-free sign-ins (such as USB keys) through virtually any website rather than having to access specific services. And don’t worry if you’re still comfortable typing things in — there are a few other useful additions.

This release supports the Generic Sensor API, a universal standard that lets web apps talk to sensors in devices like VR headsets and fitness trackers. You could move around a 3D world just by moving your head or wrist, for instance. You should also see a unified experience between mobile VR and its more advanced desktop counterparts. If you’re nervous about Spectre-style attacks, there’s also wider use of site isolation to reduce the chances of a page swiping data from your other browser tabs.

All told, this may be one of the more quietly significant Chrome updates in recent months. You’ll have to wait for sites to support all the new features, but they could change how you interact with the web.
