Enlarge / Photograph of BE-4 “flight engine no. 2” on Blue Origin’s test stand in Texas, as shared on Twitter by ULA chief executive Tory Bruno on August 26, 2022. (credit: Tory Bruno/Twitter)
Blue Origin shipped the first “flight” version of its BE-4 rocket engine to Texas for acceptance testing six weeks ago. These tests, scheduled to take less than a month, marked the final step before Blue Origin delivered the much-anticipated rocket engines to its customer, United Launch Alliance. A second flight engine followed the first out of the factory in mid-August.
These were hopeful signs for United Launch Alliance (ULA), which is using two of the large liquid oxygen-methane engines to power its new heavy lift Vulcan rocket. At the urging of the US Department of Defense, ULA has been pressing hard to make a 2022 launch date debut.
However, neither of these flight engines have yet been shipped from Texas to ULA’s rocket factory in northern Alabama. There, ULA is eagerly awaiting the engines for pre-launch processing and installation onto the rocket.

]]>There’s always something amazing about getting things to grow in your garden. Lots of people plant gardens during the summer months and you should also try. Grow vegetables, flowers, fruits, or herbs and spices. You’ll find it fun while looking for ideas on what to grow. Besides, weeding your garden will feel oddly therapeutic and calming. As the season comes to the end, you may choose what to use for indoor beautification, or use as food or spice food. In the end, it’s a win-win for you.
Summer months are the perfect time to get your body into good shape. The weather outside is warmer and nicer, making outdoor activities extremely fun. Generally, you’ll find many people dedicated to losing weight during summers. That’s because there are lots of workouts to do. So, planning to work out at least three times a week can be great for your health. There are so many fun workouts to try that you could be doing a different type of workout each week. One week could be yoga, the next could be swimming, the next hiking, the options are endless in the summer. Embrace the outdoors and try to work out outside.
With no chilly and snowy surroundings, summer is an excellent time to get your home neat and organized. It’s pretty safer to climb on your roof and clean the gutters or repair your roof before any more damage occurs.

Fox has booked a trip to Fantasy Island.
The network has handed a straight-to-series order to a contemporary reboot of the late-’70s/early ’80s ABC drama, to hail from executive producers Liz Craft and Sarah Fain (The 100) and air in summer 2021.
The reimagined Fantasy Island is being billed as a “semi-anthology” series “that delves into the ‘what if’ questions, both big and small, that keep us awake at night,” according to the official logline. “Each episode will tell emotional, provocative stories about people who walk in with a desire, but end up reborn to themselves through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.”
“[W]e’ve been particularly focused on providing viewers with summer series that offer a true escape from everyday life — to be sure, now so more than ever,” Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment at Fox Entertainment, said in a statement. “Fantasy Island is a beloved program, and the world Liz and Sarah have created for this contemporary adaptation is signature Fox and a perfect show for today’s times. After all, who among us wouldn’t take a (safe) trip to Fantasy Island right now?”
In addition to The 100, Craft and Fain’s credits include Angel, Lie to Me, The Shield, The Vampire Diaries and Women’s Murder Club. They most recently co-created the ABC drama The Fix, alongside former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark.
The original Fantasy Island ran for seven seasons on ABC, from 1977 to 1984, and starred Ricardo Montalbán (as Mr. Roarke) and Hervé Villechaize (as his assistant Tattoo). A short-lived reboot featuring Malcolm McDowell and Mädchen Amick aired in 1998, lasting just 13 episodes.
Earlier this year, a feature-length horror adaptation starring Michael Peña, Maggie Q and Lucy Hale grossed nearly $ 50 million at the box office (but earned a dismal seven percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes).

As Part 1 of Wynonna Earp‘s midseason finale came to a close, Nicole had been drowned and Jeremy was asking a gobsmacked Waverly to trust in what he and Nedley were doing to her partner. So… should she (and we) cut Jeremy some slack?
“I think we should trust Jeremy, and trust Nicole’s posse,” the ex-sheriff’s portrayer, Kat Barrell, told TVLine on Friday evening, in between shooting scenes for Season 4’s very final episodes. “These guys have gone through a lot together, and I can’t see them letting her down. They will definitely try everything they can!”
The drowning is in fact “Plan B” in trying to undo the hex cast on Nicole by Mam Clanton, after Jeremy’s attempt to craft an elixir literally went down the drain. But once the full and wild scope of Jeremy and Nedley’s scheme is detailed, viewers like Waverly may be wondering, “What the frog?!”
“It’s amazing to watch the gang fight to honor her wishes, because she did ask Jeremy to essentially perform this spell to undo whatever horrible thing that she is obviously hiding from everyone. So we get a bit more information on that,” Barrell previews. And as for Jeremy running this death-defying show, “It’s amazing to see that even though he and Nicole had been parted for so long, and even though there was a lot of hurt there, at the end of the day she still really trusts him, literally, with her life.”
What exactly happens next when the Syfy series’ midseason finale picks up this Sunday at 10/9 “is going to be quite crazy,” Barrell shares. “I will say that we see a whole new ‘side’ of Nicole that is very unexpected. A new version of her, I’ll say.”
Wynonna and Doc, meanwhile, have unexpectedly run into Rosita Bustillos (returning guest star Tamara Duarte) aka The Woman Scorned in the creepy nuns’ painting. As Wynonna follows through on the plan to trade Rosita for her beloved Peacemaker, Doc — coming out of his old-timey newsreel “reunion” with Wyatt Earp — will consider a bold step in the name of burying a very old axe.
“The cool thing that I love about this next episode is that Doc is trying to let go of the past,” Tim Rozon, who plays Holliday, tells TVLine. “We saw that in Episode 5, when he hears Wyatt talking about Doc and he says, ‘That’s not the way it really went down….’ He’s starting to realize that he’s holding onto the past and he needs to let go, and that starts with someone having to forgive. Doc realizes that fighting just isn’t the way anymore.”
But will the Clanton clan, led by the viciously vengeful Mam and including Sheriff Holt and his sister Cleo among its ranks, see things the same way? Or is there an even more unpredictable threat to Doc’s noble agenda?
One thing is for certain: As all of the above storylines reach major turning points in the midseason finale’s closing scenes, Earpers will in turn experience an array of emotions.
“Me trying to explain what people are going to be going through in the last minutes… It would be impossible to guess,” Rozon says with a chuckle. “Utter joy. Elation. And then at the same time, sadness. And heartbreak. But also happiness and love!
“But pretty much love,” he asserts, “because I think love encompasses all those emotions at one time, sometimes. There’s a lot of love — the good and the bad that comes with it — going on.”
Following the midseason finale, Wynonna Earp will return with Season 4’s second six episodes sometime in 2021.

A first-born royal may inherit the throne, but on Disney+, it’s the younger sibling that rules. All that and more is explained in the just-released trailer for Secret Society of Second-Born Royals, a new movie premiering Friday, July 17. Watch:
The movie stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee (Andi Mack) as Sam, a “rebellious teenage royal who unknowingly develops superpowers from a genetic trait attributed only to second-borns of royal lineage. Second-in-line to the throne of the kingdom of Illyria, Sam constantly questions what it means to be royal and wants to create her own legacy. Unlike Sam’s picture-perfect older sister Eleanor (Fuller House‘s Ashley Liao) who will become the next queen, Sam would rather rock out with her bandmate and best friend Mike (The Walking Dead‘s Noah Lomax) at an illegal protest or ditch a royal engagement for a wild night out.”
But wait, there’s more! “Fed up with her daughter’s misbehavior, Queen Catherine (Daredevil‘s Elodie Yung) sends Sam to a summer boarding school where she and four other second-born royals — Tuma (This Is Us‘ Niles Fitch), Roxana (Home and Away‘s Olivia Deeble), January (Once Upon a Time‘s Isabella Blake Thomas) and Matteo (Raven’s Home‘s Faly Rakotohavana) — discover they have unique super-human abilities and are invited to join a secret society with a longstanding tradition of covertly keeping the peace. With a new sense of purpose and a little help from their Secret Society instructor James (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist‘s Skylar Astin), Sam and her fellow royal recruits must learn to harness their newfound powers and work together as a team before they can save the world.”

“But I think people are going to, social distancing of some kind is going to continue, and I think the conclusion from that is it unlikely that big lavish international holidays are going to be possible for this summer.
“That is just a reality of life.”
Under current Government proposals anyone returning from abroad to a would need to be quarantined for two weeks.
However, those travelling from France will be exempt from the quarantine under a reciprocal agreement with the French government.
Hancock went on to add the public shouldn’t expect to hug each other until a vaccine for coronavirus has been found.
“I wouldn’t recommend it,” he advised when asked by Schofield if it would be safe to do so.

This year’s Summer Olympics are the latest victim of the global coronavirus outbreak: The international competition has officially been postponed in light of the pandemic.
The games were set to take place in Tokyo from July 24 to August 9, with NBC handling all broadcast rights via the Peacock network and its sister channels. On Tuesday, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told reporters that he reached an agreement with the International Olympic Committee to delay the games for about a year. At the latest, they will now be held in Summer 2021, though a more specific timeline has not been announced.
The IOC’s executive board announced plans on March 22 to “step up its scenario planning” for the Summer Olympics, but emphasized that cancellation was “not on the agenda.” The following day, IOC member Dick Pound told USA Today that “postponement has been decided,” with a move to 2021 the most likely scenario.
The global coronavirus outbreak continues to affect TV shows and events, with more than 40,000 cases now reported in the United States and more than 100 TV shows shutting down production. In the sports world alone, the NBA suspended its current season after All-Star player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, and the NHL followed suit the following day; Major League Baseball pushed back the start of the regular season for at least two weeks and cancelled spring training; and the NCAA cancelled the annual March Madness men’s college basketball tournament, along with all other remaining winter and spring championships.

“The more things change, the more they stay the same” seemed to be the underlying theme of Stranger Things’ Season 3 premiere. For, although a whole lot about Hawkins was different in the summer of ’85 — the Starcourt Mall was devouring local businesses, Mike and El were joined at the lips, and Dustin had a girlfriend (or so he claimed!) — a whole lot was, for better or worse, familiar. Joyce was still turning a blind eye to Hopper’s ginormous crush, Billy’s rockin’ bod was still getting women to overlook his mullet, and, oh yeah, the Mind Flayer was still sending chills down Will’s spine — and ours right along with it. Read on, and we’ll go over all the deets…
‘OH EL, I WISH WE COULD MAKE OUT FOREVER AND NEVER HANG OUT WITH ANY OF OUR FRIENDS’ | As “Suzie, Do You Copy?” began, the Russian military tried, and spectacularly failed, to open the gate to the Upside Down that El closed in the Season 2 finale. In response, a Dolph Lundgren type throttled the life out of the scientist in charge of the operation as a general whose name I could only assume was Vladimir Crankypants told the soon-to-be-dead man’s second in command that he had a year to succeed where his predecessor had failed. Next, we cut to — how convenient! — one year later, at which point we were quickly caught up on the lives of all of our main characters. Among the most significant developments, Hopper seemed to live in a state of near-constant apoplexy over the fact that El and Mike only ever stopped kissing long enough for him to sing Corey Hart’s “Never Surrender” at the top of his lungs; Nancy and Jonathan had gotten hired at the Hawkins Post as, respectively, a “coffee-delivery machine” and photographer; Steve, his come-hither hairdo hidden under a Scoops Ahoy hat at the mall, appeared to have lost his mojo; and lifeguard Billy’s abs had turned the community pool into a summer hot spot, especially for Mrs. Robinson Wheeler.
During a break from his never-ending make-out sessions with El, Mike rushed to the mall so that Steve could sneak him, Will, Lucas and Max (still going strong, by the way) into Day of the Dead through the ice-cream shop’s rear entrance. “Hey dingus, your children are here,” announced Steve’s co-worker Robin (Maya Hawke), an insta-fave. Alas, the classic zombie flick had scarcely started when the projector fritzed out. Wait, it wasn’t just the projector, it was lights out at the whole mall… No, wait. It was actually all of Hawkins that blacked out! Odder still, in the bowels of the abandoned steelworks on the outskirts of town, rats were sent scurrying as particles took the shape of… well, it was hard to tell, actually (though in Hawkins, you could assume it wasn’t going to be the shape of, say, a puppy). When the ominous figure had mostly materialized, power was restored all over Hawkins, and Will felt a chill run down his spine — the kind of chill that caused him to flash back to his possession by the Mind Flayer.
‘THIS IS GOLD LEADER RETURNING TO BASE… ‘ | The following day, Dustin was chagrined not to get a response from his pals over his walkie-talkie upon returning to Hawkins after a month at Camp Know Where (aka summer science camp). “At least someone’s happy I’m home,” he told his turtle, who, to be honest, didn’t seem very excited. Just then, all of the toys in Dustin’s room became mysteriously animated. Arming himself with a canister of Farrah hairspray, he tried to tell himself that he was just dreaming, but in fact, he was wide awake — it was his friends using El’s powers to welcome him home with a practical joke (that left poor Lucas with a painful eyeful of Farrah). After Dustin showed his buddies some of the cool stuff he’d invented while away, he pulled out his masterpiece: Cerebro, “the Cadillac of ham radios.” Thanks to it, he could talk to his new girlfriend in Utah anytime he wanted. Wait, girlfriend?!? Yep, Dustin insisted. He’d met her at Camp Know Where, and was she pretty? “Think Phoebe Cates, only hotter.”
Meanwhile, Hopper paid a visit to the general store to vent to Joyce about El and Mike. They spend too much time together! They’re always kissing! “I need for them to break up!” he raged, sounding adorably like every dad ever. Acting as the voice of reason, Joyce suggested that Hopper try a kinder, gentler, smarter approach. “If you order them around like a cop, then they’re gonna rebel,” she warned. “It’s just what they do.” Instead, he should sit them down for a heart-to-heart. “A heart-to-heart?” he replied. “What is that?” Later, he was sorry he asked. He’d have preferred to just kill Mike and cover it up. For a moment, Hopper and Joyce’s hands touched… but she pulled away the second he asked if she wanted to have dinner. “I have plans,” she lied. (She was just going to reheat leftovers, watch Cheers and have bittersweet Bob flashbacks.) Down the block at the Post, Nancy took a chance and suggested a story on the Starcourt Mall and its impact on local businesses. Unfortunately, sexist reporter Bruce (Jake Busey) reassigned “Nancy Drew” to The Case of the Missing Mustard on his lunch. Charming.
‘WHAT’S WRONG WITH NANA?!?’ | Leading his friends to the top of a hill to assemble Cerebro and say hi to Suzie, Dustin explained that his girlfriend’s family was Mormon, which wasn’t the same as Amish, though it did mean that they were “super religious white people” who’d disapprove of their romance. “It’s all a bit Shakespearian,” he said. Soon, Mike and El realized that they’d gone 15 minutes without smooching and, Dustin’s feelings be damned, bailed to, um, make curfew even though it was four o’clock! As they left, Will got another tingle down his spine when rats scuttled across the field behind him on their way to the steelworks. Once the rodents arrived at their destination, yikes! They began… exploding. At the community pool, Billy and Mrs. Wheeler took turns admiring one another’s form, then finally, he told her that he sometimes gave advanced lessons in (cough) swimming to adults. If she wanted one, he added, there’s a pool at the Motel 6. When she began to demur, he assured her, “It… will be… the workout of your life.”
That evening, Dustin still hadn’t been able to raise Suzie on Cerebro. But after his friends left the hill assuming that she wasn’t real, he did manage to hear something: the Russians speaking in both their native tongue and code! (And, from the glimpse that we got of their lab, it appeared that the junior scientist had made significant progress in his task — perhaps related to the fact that Joyce’s fridge magnets no longer worked?) At the Post, Nancy took a message from a Mrs. Driscoll about diseased rats. At Hopper and El’s place, the chief meant to, really meant to have a heart-to-heart with the youngsters, but they were so snarky and disrespectful — in other words, kids — that he gave up and told Mike his mom needed him home. “It’s your grandma,” he said gravely. Of course, once he had Mike in his truck, Hopper locked the doors and played psycho, threatening the boy to put some distance between himself and El if he wanted to have any hope of being allowed to continue dating her. And, as the premiere drew to a close, Mrs. Wheeler was headed out for her rendezvous with Billy when she happened upon her husband and baby Holly asleep in a chair in the living room. While we didn’t know whether she’d show up for her “lesson,” we knew that Billy wouldn’t: After he crashed into something that left slime all over his windshield, he was knocked off his feet by something unseen and dragged into the bowels of the steelworks!
