The possible answers were: A) Foreigners, B) Landowners, or C) Everyone. Tina opted for answer ‘A’ before delving into the details of exactly why. “I get xenophobia from xenocracy, which is a fear of foreigners” she explained as she laid out her thinking. “Is it?!” Bradley hastily replied, in shock as he was unaware of the meaning. However, spotting the opportunity to take a cheeky swipe at her colleague, Holly replied: “This is the problem whenever you’ve got so many pundits like this who’ve got an incredible amount of experience, “But they’re not used to getting the teas, are they? In fact, Charlie, I think I’m due a tea…” Naga was quick to jump in and pile the pressure on her co-host as she chimed: “Holly, when was the last time Charlie made you a cup of tea?” Holly acted bemused as she said she was “trying to work that out” before Charlie jumped back in to defend himself. BBC host Steph McGovern clashed in a heated debate with Conservative Transport Secretary Grant Shapps in an explosive Brexit row. The presenter pressed the Tory MP for Welwyn Hatfield over the “backlash” the Prime Minister has seen since announcing he will prorogue Parliament ahead of the Queen’s Speech on October 14, which will effectively limit the time MPs have to try to block a no deal Brexit. Mr Shapps quickly hit back at MPs “getting excited” over the announcement from the Prime Minister earlier this week. The BBC host said: “Mr Shapps there has been a huge backlash to this. You are painting a picture that this is very normal. But, there has been a huge backlash and amongst some of your MPs as well. “This is at a time when we need to get agreement between people, not division, isn’t it?” The Tory MP quickly replied: “I tell you what isn’t normal, it is not normal to think it’s okay not to have legislation to pass. You can’t have legislation to pass unless you have a new Queen’s Speech. “What’s not normal is we haven’t had a new Queen’s Speech and this is correcting that with a Government that has got a very busy domestic agenda to do with 20,000 more police to clamp down on serious crime. “Putting more money into the NHS, making sure we level up school spending, so all the pupils are getting the right amount of money. READ MORE: Blackford dismantled by John Humphrys as he brands Boris ‘dictator’ “So, there is a big domestic agenda. Which you cannot do unless you are able to set that out in a Queen’s Speech. “It is perfectly normal, I know people are getting extremely excited about it. But, actually, those four days in October, to get ready for the new Queen’s Speech, seems perfectly rational to me.” He added: “And then there is plenty of time around that European Summit, both before and after to debate whatever new has, I hope, come out from this stepped-up effort by the EU and our diplomats to try to find a negotiated settlement. “But, all of that against the backdrop of the announcement I am actually making today and to speak about which is preparing the ports readiness and the infrastructure readiness.” The Prime Minister refused to accept that he was limiting MPs time to debate Brexit as a result of the decision to suspend Parliament ahead of the Queen’s Speech on October 14. Mr Johnson said: “There will be ample time on both sides of that crucial October 17 Summit in Parliament for MPs to debate the EU, Brexit and all the other issues.” The move from the Government came after opposition parties met at the start of this week and said they would do everything in their power to try to block a no deal exit from the Brussels bloc. Campaigners against a no deal Brexit accused the Prime Minister of “trashing the constitution” after the Government’s plans to prorogue Parliament in the lead-up to the October 31 Brexit deadline. Defending the decision on Thursday morning, Leader of the House, Jacob Rees-Mogg said: “I think the outrage is phoney and it is created by people who don’t want us to leave the European Union and are trying very hard to overturn the referendum result and don’t want the benefits of leaving the European Union.” He added: “Parliament wasn’t going to be sitting for most of this time anyway. This is completely constitutional and proper.” DON’T MISS: Speaking on Sky News, shadow chancellor John McDonnell outlined the next steps for Labour. He said: “The position we are in at the moment is looking at a legislative intervention next week. “We will focus on that, and what we will do and Jeremy Corbyn brought all the opposition leaders together, it was an incredibly productive and positive meeting and we have all agreed on the strategy we are pursuing and that is what we will hold to.” Former Conservative frontbencher David Gauke warned next week will be the last chance for MPs to maintain “some control” over the Brexit process before a potential no deal exit. He said: “It does look like next week is essentially the only opportunity that Parliament will have to maintain some control over this process and ensure that it has a say before we leave without a deal.” Tory rebel and former minister Sir Oliver Letwin, a leading opponent of a no deal Brexit, said he had been speaking to Commons Speaker John Bercow to establish “what the procedures are”. He told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “There is no question of any MP cooking up a deal with the Speaker – you can’t do that, the Speaker has to follow the rules. “It’s perfectly true that I, for many months, have been talking to the clerks and to the Speaker, and that’s the appropriate thing for MPs to do if they want to establish what the procedures are. The action here is on the part of MPs, not on the part of the Speaker.” He added: “I, of course, would like to see the prorogation not happen because I don’t think the prorogation is a proper proceeding. But, whether it is lawful or not, we will find out in the courts. That’s not for MPs to decide. “What I have been concerned with and will continue to be concerned with is the question of how, in the remaining time if we are prorogued, we can ensure that Britain doesn’t make a sudden, disorderly, undemocratic no-deal exit on October 31.” Shadow attorney-general Baroness Chakrabarti said she believed opponents of Boris Johnson had the numbers in Parliament to force through a change in the law to block a no deal. This Morning was being presented by Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, and they ended up having a bit of an argument live on television. The couple welcomed former Star Wars actor and Tenable presenter, Warwick Davis, who was there to discuss the upcoming celebrity special of his ITV gameshow. However, it wasn’t long before things descended into chaos and viewers branded the segment as “painful”. Warwick was attempting to play a game of Tenable with the This Morning presenters, yet Ruth and Eamonn decided to have a bit of an argument while playing the game. “Shhh! I’m captain!” said Eamonn who was annoyed with Ruth and his teammates. Ruth then retaliated: “Don’t shush me just because you’re the captain!” Warwick followed that up with a joke, saying: “As you can see every expense has been spared here.” He then added: “And look at this,” as he started to wobble the desk in front of him. Viewers took to Twitter to complain about the segment which one person calling it a “car crash”. One viewer wrote: “Oh what car crash is this #thismorning.” In a clip which the ITV programme shared on Twitter with their 8,000 followers, the pair could be seen having an odd conversation, Holly telling Phillip Schofield, 57: “You’re a dispenser of words, I’m a dispense of children!” Starting to laugh as she realised how her comment sounded, she soldiered on: “We all dispense something!” Shooting the camera a stunned look, Phillip exclaimed: “Is that what you are? You’re a child dispenser? “That’s it? That’s the thing? That’s what you are?” he asked, laughing. This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.

Days after Apple shut down Facebook’s developer certificate, disabling the company’s internal iOS apps, the two companies have now seemingly buried the hatchet.
“We have had our Enterprise Certification, which enables our internal employee applications, restored,” Facebook said in a statement sent to Ars and other media outlets. “We are in the process of getting our internal apps up and running. To be clear, this didn’t have an impact on our consumer-facing services.”
As Ars reported earlier Thursday, the Developer Enterprise Program allows for iOS apps that remain off the App Store but are locally distributed only.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has found himself in a public spat with Theresa May, saying her Brexit plan isn’t in the national interest. It comes after May hit out at him for backing the idea of a second referendum.
“…I profoundly believe that the course [PM May] is pursuing will not work and is emphatically not in the national interest. And that’s the reason I am speaking out and shall continue to do so,” Blair said on Sunday.
This came just one day after May lashed out at Blair for pushing for a second Brexit referendum.

Moneybags Blair claimed £1m in British taxpayers’ money over last decade
“For Tony Blair to go to Brussels and seek to undermine our negotiations by advocating for a second referendum is an insult to the office he once held and the people he once served,” May said on Saturday.
But Blair disagrees, with his office stating that it is “not irresponsible or insulting to put forward an alternative way to achieve resolution” since it is “perfectly clear neither the British people nor their parliament will unite behind the prime minister’s deal.”
The former prime minister has been urging EU member state politicians to remain open to the option of a second referendum. He suggested on BBC Radio 4’s Today program last Friday that private conversations had led him to believe the EU might be willing to offer concessions on free movement if it meant a second referendum which would end in a ‘Remain’ vote.
But Blair said he believes the first course of action should be for British MPs to be given the chance to vote on each of the Brexit deals that have been proposed, including the one agreed between May and the EU. “If they can’t reach agreement then the logical thing is to go back to the people.”

Dead end: UK’s Theresa May has led her party & country into an impasse
May has faced backlash from all sides following the Brexit deal, with several ministers resigning after the agreement was secured with the EU. Among them are Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab and Work and Pensions Secretary Esther McVey. Former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson resigned back in August, after previously referring to May’s Brexit deal as “polishing a turd.”
May postponed the vote on the deal until January 21, apparently in the hope of garnering more concessions from the EU in an attempt to make the deal more attractive to British MPs.

Dominic Grieve was warning about the consequences of a no deal Brexit when both Nigel Farage and Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan clashed with him. Former Ukip leader Farage claimed the objectives of the referendum were clear to leave both the single market and customs union. Conservative MP and former Attorney General Mr Grieve stepped in, warning about the consequences of Britain leaving without a deal.
He said: “It is useless talking in those terms.
“If you are really going to crashing out with absolutely no deal, people can’t take the plane the following day.”
The remark sparked a furious row with Farage bursting out shouting “for goodness sake”, followed by adding: “grow up!”
Good Morning Britain host Mr Morgan stepped in claiming concerns over aviation post-Brexit were a “myth”.
He said: “I had breakfast with somebody who runs one of the major airlines in this country who told me it is complete nonsense.
“It is a myth. It is as true as the £350million a week on the bus, it is a scaremongering myth. Planes would not stop flying.”
Conservative MP Mr Grieve replied: “I’m sorry, it’s wrong.”
Former Ukip leader interrupted again asking whether Britons would “starve as well” and whether “drinking water would be no good”.
Mr Grieve snapped back: “Either you get peripheral deals, which you may get very easily. If you are really talking about crashing out with absolutely no agreement of anything at all there will be lots of things which will happen, which people don’t want.
“I don’t want to talk about the Armageddon, what I want to talk about is some rational way forward.
“Nigel simply saying ‘Leave means Leave means Leave’, does not answer the question.”
The debate comes following Prime Minister Theresa May opting to postpone the meaningful vote on her Brexit agreement in fear of a humiliating defeat.
Mrs May spoke with her cabinet colleagues via a conference call on Monday before later addressing the Commons and announcing the delay. Speaking in the Commons, Mrs May asked MPs the fundamental question: “Does this House want to deliver Brexit?”
Up to 100 Conservative MPs were reportedly considering voting against the Prime Minister’s agreement, with many angry at the backstop element of the Withdrawal Agreement which threatens to keep the UK tied into the EU’s customs union indefinitely.
SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon urged Jeremy Corbyn to call a motion of no confidence in the Government and for them to team up to resolve Brexit for the UK.
She tweeted: “So Jeremy Corbyn – if Labour, as official opposition, lodges motion of no confidence in this incompetent government tomorrow, the SNP will support & we can then work together to give people the chance to stop Brexit in another vote. This shambles can’t go on – so how about it?”
The Prime Minister travelled to Europe on Tuesday to try to gain concessions from the bloc on her EU deal. Mrs May will have another chance to make her case during an EU leaders summit on Thursday.
President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker tweeted: “I will meet Theresa May this evening in Brussels. I remain convinced that the #Brexit deal we have is the best – and only – deal possible. There is no room for renegotiation, but further clarifications are possible.”
The Good Morning Britain presenter became embroiled in a serious debate on the ITV programme today, as the question arose about whether children need to be doing homework in the evenings.
The topic was started when 57-year-old Gary posted a frustrated note on his official Twitter page yesterday.
He declared: “Homework is a waste of time. Brings stress to the home, stress to the child, stress to the parents, stress to the parent – child relationship.
“Reading every night should suffice, imho.”(sic)
Ahead of a homework debate with British headteacher Katharine Birbalsingh alongside his co-host Susanna Reid this morning, Piers couldn’t resist taking a jibe at the television personality.
“First time Gary Lineker’s been humble in his life,” he commented, before furiously discussing the issue.
The angry presenter insisted he “didn’t want parents having children” if they were “too lazy” to spend an hour doing homework with them each night.
“It’s depressing,” 53-year-old Piers added.
Last night’s Twitter spat saw Piers and Gary enter into a long-running debate over whether homework was right or wrong.
Following Gary’s initial post, Piers replied: “A lot of LAZY parents will agree with you, Jugs. As a nation, we’re falling so far behind educational standards of countries like China, it’s embarrassing.
“Telling our kids to now give up on homework seems a perverse response to this….”
As the pair appeared to be getting more riled up by the issue, Gary snapped: “There’s always one, and it’s invariably you. It appears the vast majority disagree with you, including many that are not footballers…but parents.”
“Never mistake Twitter mob opinion for the ‘vast majority’, Jugs…” Piers then warned. “Most parents understand that homework, if well organised, plays an important part in their children’s education.”
Gary went on to remind the ITV presenter the “Twitter mob” are still people and many are parents, before insisting their opinions count just as much as the two of theirs.
“I agree that most of the Twitter mob usually disagrees with me, especially those that follow you,” Piers carried on. “But that doesn’t make me wrong.”
Gary added: “And neither does it make you right. They’re opinions and it’s alright to disagree.
“Now I must go and do some homework.”
Earlier on in the programme, Piers and Susanna faced another debate over obesity in the wake of model Tess Holliday’s Cosmopolitan cover.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
Nathan Grisdale from Blackburn took to The X Factor stage in a bid to impress the judges in scenes that will be shown this evening.
The glasses-wearing 23-year-old appeared to be quite nervous as he stood in front of the panel.
Nathan’s nerves caused him to discuss a lot of his animals, revealing he is allergic to cats but has over 10 dogs.
The judges seemed to really like Nathan, and asked what he would be singing, to which the youngster replied with Andra Day’s Rise Up.
Nathan stunned the audience with his performance, but the hopeful left the judges with a mixed response.
Louis Tomlinson, 26, gushed: “You have an amazing tone. Your voice…
“I know for a fact if there ever comes a time when you come to record, I think it’s going to sound incredible on track.”
The former One Direction star went on to claim how excited he was at the potential of getting the boys group because of Nathan.
Ayda Field, 39, agreed, calling his audition a “moment”, but Robbie Wililams, 44, claimed Nathan didn’t push himself hard enough, only producing a “six”.
The fiesty American called for the audience to boo her husband over what he said, but the spat continued as Simon Cowell, 58, got involved.
The judge said: “I know where Robbie’s going with this. We’ve said this before about personality.”
Ayda snapped: “He’s got personality, he’s got 85 French bulldogs.
“I love your personality,” she told Nathan. “Because it’s not in your face, its kind of quirky, cute and funny.”
Nathan explained how he was just feeling “awkward” about the audition, to which Ayda shouted back: “I love awkward. Awkward is good.”
Simon and Robbie looked at each other, clearly deciding on where to go from here.
But will Nathan get the yeses he needs to progress through the competition?
Last night’s X Factor saw Simon Cowell blasted by fans who thought there was another “fix”.
Giovanni Spano performed an energetic rock song, but the judge insisted it wasn’t good enough and made him sing another.
The second song saw him safely through to the next round of the competition.
X Factor continues tonight on ITV at 8pm.
Twitter briefly suspended a right-wing speaker famous for his heroic role in the 2012 consulate attack in Benghazi after he engaged in a heated debate over whether Barack Obama should be credited with killing Osama Bin Laden.
Kris Paronto, a former US Army ranger, became famous after the Benghazi attack, during which he and several other CIA contractors rescued diplomatic personnel at the US consulate. He became an outspoken critic of the Obama administration’s response to the situation, in which he lost two of his comrades.
On Sunday, Paronto may have added a new grudge against the former US president, getting suspended by Twitter apparently for getting in a debate about Obama’s speech in Champaign, Illinois on Friday. The debate was started not by Paronto but rather Robert O’Neill, the SEAL Team Six member credited with killing Osama Bin Laden in May 2011.
O’Neill posted an excerpt from the Obama speech, in which he berated President Donald Trump for failing to criticize right-wing violence in Centerville. “How hard can that be, saying that Nazis are bad?” Obama said. O’Neill remarked: “Nazis are bad. Now try saying ‘Radical Islam…’”
Among the responses to O’Neill was that of anti-Trump account ‘Secret Society Alumnus: “He kinda killed Osama Bin Laden, so…” The author later acknowledged that he or she didn’t know who O’Neill was, as the gaffe was met with a barrage of sarcasm and outrage.
Nah, I had to Google you, who know the the name of every soldier engaged in the war against radical Islam? ,tbh following your creed no one shouldI know ur name? Any how, after googling you I understand you have 1. hand knowledge of the order commander in chief gave you.Kill OBN?
— ❎🇺🇸Secret Society Alumnus🇺🇸❎ (@itmustend_) 8 сентября 2018 г.
Paronto was among the many commenters about the gaffe and made a generalization about supporters of the former president. His now-deleted tweet about it read: “Thank you for verifying that BHusseinObama worship and TDS causes liberalists to skip retard and go straight to potato.” The mockery apparently sparked complaints, since Twitter suspended Paronto’s account, he reported on his Instagram feed.
The Twitter account was later unfrozen, with Paronto without hesitation posting a screenshot of his tweet and branding ‘Secret Society Alumnus’ a hate group. If anything, he was further convinced that the microblogging service has anti-conservative bias.
Paronto’s animosity towards Obama is difficult to miss. On Sunday, he told Fox News he wanted to “reach through the screen and just grab him – grab him and choke him” during the Friday speech. Pete Hegseth, the Fox host, then cautioned him against threatening a former head of state, who has lifetime protection from the Secret Service. Paronto seemed unimpressed, saying: “It doesn’t get yourself away from saying comments when my friends died in front of me.”
