Last year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! was criticised by some for having too little entertainment value as the campmates simply got on so well.

But that’s the exact reason Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer would consider taking part on the ITV programme now.

Simon, 56, is no stranger to reality shows having tried his best to don his ballroom dancing shoes and wow viewers on Strictly Come Dancing nearly two years ago.

The former contestant wasn’t hopeful for his chances in the fiercely competitive BBC series, but in the end he surprised himself and managed to get to week six with his professional dance partner Karen Clifton.

Now the TV personality has revealed he could very well be joining the crew Down Under in Australia later this year.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Simon shared: “I’d probably do the jungle.

“I always said I wouldn’t, but think I’ve become quite intrigued by that.”

“It’s a slightly different show now too – it’s a really nice warm cuddly show these days,” he laughed.

“In the past it always felt the jungle thrived on the tension in the camp,” the star continued. “But this year in particular, I thought was really lovely.

“Just a really nice bunch of people. Emily [Atack] was brilliant, Fleur [East] was brilliant, Harry [Redknapp] was amazing, really good this year.”

Despite Simon’s encouraging thoughts on taking part in the show, the presenter revealed there is one programme he couldn’t be swayed to have a crack at.

“I definitely wouldn’t do Dancing On Ice!” he declared.

Last year’s series of I’m A Celebrity saw its biggest change since the beginning when Holly Willoughby took over regular presenter Ant McPartlin’s role.

The This Morning host, 37, filled in for her old friend and joined Geordie favourite Declan Donnelly in camp for three weeks, and was largely praised for her approach to the Australian show.

Despite her enjoyment taking part in the project though, Holly was keen to ensure fans knew it was a one off.

When Ant made his return to television the presenter was keen to get back to her regular duties with longtime co-star Phillip Schofield.

Dec suggested it was actually Holly’s decision whether she wanted to return – but it would possibly be in another role.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the BAFTAs last month, the father-of-one said: “That’s kind of down to her I suppose, she was fantastic out there last year.

“She made it clear that she’s seen it as a one-year thing so I don’t think she’ll be back this year – but you never know, there’s plenty of time between now and then.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV later this year.

Let’s block ads! (Why?)

MoviePass Is At It Again: Former Users Being Forced to Opt Out of Automatic Sign-Up to New Unlimited Plan https://briefnews.eu/moviepass-is-at-it-again-former-users-being-forced-to-opt-out-of-automatic-sign-up-to-new-unlimited-plan/ https://briefnews.eu/moviepass-is-at-it-again-former-users-being-forced-to-opt-out-of-automatic-sign-up-to-new-unlimited-plan/#respond Mon, 01 Oct 2018 05:56:24 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/moviepass-is-at-it-again-former-users-being-forced-to-opt-out-of-automatic-sign-up-to-new-unlimited-plan/ New MoviePass Unlimited Plan

“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”

It seemed like we heard the last of MoviePass trying to pull off some questionable antics when it comes to their movie ticket subscription service. But here we are with a new way for MoviePass to pull former customers back in with another change to their offerings, whether you like it or not. No, seriously, they’re trying to force users who opted out of their last subscription plan update into signing up for a new unlimited plan unless they opt out. Find out more about new MoviePass unlimited plan below.

According to The Verge, MoviePass users who previously opted out of the company’s monthly plan that gives users three movie tickets each month (with limited showtime and movie offerings) are now being enrolled in new unlimited plan as part of a “select test group.” Users whose account has been “suspended” after opting out of the previous plan “will be restored to unlimited movies (up to one new movie title per day based on existing inventory).” You know what, we’ll just let the full e-mail speak for itself:

In August 2018, we announced a new offering for three movies a month for $ 9.95, giving subscribers the ability to opt-in to this plan if they wanted to continue as a MoviePass subscriber. However, our records show that you have not yet taken any action on the new plan, and because of that your subscription was suspended and your monthly subscription charges have stopped.

Because we really hope you begin enjoying your MoviePass subscription again, we have chosen you to be a part of a select test group, who beginning Friday, October 5th will be restored to unlimited movies (up to one new movie title per day based on existing inventory) – the same subscription that you signed up for and you previously enjoyed. If you decide that you do not want this you must “opt out” before Thursday, October 4th at 9:00PM ET.

To be clear, unless you opt out, your unlimited subscription will be restored and you will begin enjoying unlimited movies again (up to 1 movie per day, based on existing inventory) at $ 9.95 per month, and your credit card on file will be charged on a monthly basis beginning Friday, October 5th, 2018.

If you do opt out of the restoration of your subscription to the unlimited plan, your subscription will be canceled and no longer held in a “suspended” status, and you will not be able to re-join until 9 months have passed.

Are you confused? Yeah, so are we. How are they going back to their original unlimited ticket plan for $ 9.95 when that was how they got into this problem in the first place? Sure, they have the limited selection in place now, so it won’t be used as frequently as it was when they first dropped the price, but this doesn’t make much sense. Honestly, it just seems like a sketchy way for customers to be inadvertently charged for the new subscription unless they opt out, thus giving MoviePass some more revenue that they desperately need.

How can MoviePass get away with this? They believe it’s allowed by their terms of service, which has kept them out of legal trouble with customers for the time being. But we’ll see how long that lasts. Meanwhile, AMC Stubs A-List and Sinemia are going strong and picking up the crumbling pieces of what was once MoviePass’ user base.

Anyway, if you opted out of the most recent subscription plan change for MoviePass, you might want to make sure that you opt out of this latest change if you haven’t already and get that subscription canceled once and for all.

  • The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is one of the best credit cards available today with an annual fee around $ 100 or less.
  • The sign-up bonus alone is worth at least six years’ worth of annual fees not taking into account other points you earn and other benefits.
  • On a personal note, I’ve had this card since March 2012 and have only considered getting rid of it to upgrade to its beefier, premium-geared sibling, the  Chase Sapphire Reserve. But for now, this one is still a staple in my wallet.

With so many great travel rewards credit cards out there, picking the right one can be tough! The Chase Sapphire Preferred is a longtime favorite of travelers looking to earn valuable rewards points redeemable for plane tickets, hotel nights, cruises, trains, and other travel adventures.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line-up: Graeme Swann confirmed as sixth star to sign-up https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-line-up-graeme-swann-confirmed-as-sixth-star-to-sign-up/ https://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-line-up-graeme-swann-confirmed-as-sixth-star-to-sign-up/#respond Wed, 15 Aug 2018 18:12:45 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/strictly-come-dancing-2018-line-up-graeme-swann-confirmed-as-sixth-star-to-sign-up/

Graeme is a well-known cricketer and was announced as the next star to compete on Strictly Come Dancing by BBC Radio 2 hosts Angela Scanlon and OJ Borg.

Following the announcement, the 39-year-old said: “I don’t know anyone else who is on it apart from anyone else who was announced, it is brilliant.”

He went on to confess that his “worst nightmare” is “basically getting it wrong” as he noted: “I’ve never been taught how to dance.”

Graeme explained that he was convinced to take part on the show because of his children. He told the hosts: “I was keeping it under wraps, in the end I thought come on bite the bullet and do it… also my kids absolutely adore it.”

The cricketer admitted that he is worried about preparing to don the sequin outfits and waxing his chest.

“Waxing my chest is making me really worried,” he confessed. “I don’t mind fake tan, you can tan me up.

“I can live with it, it’s just the waxing of the chest frightens the life out of me.”

Graeme also teased he knows what the BBC have planned for him already.

“I’ve seen one outfit that has been made for me. It’s the Latin dances,” he told Angele and OJ.

“It’s a good job I’ve lost weight recently. I can’t eat a thing now before I go in. The outfits are tiny. I can’t let down the costume girls. My favourite dance is the Waltz.”

In a statement released by the BBC, Graeme said: “It’s true – I’ve signed up for Strictly!

“I’m hoping to follow in the footsteps of the cricketers who’ve come before me who’ve either won the whole thing or had an absolute ball on the show.

“Keeping it under wraps from my kids has been nearly impossible; they are huge fans of the show and I can’t wait to see their faces when I tell them.

“I don’t have any background in dancing but can do the floss so let’s hope this comes in useful!”

Graeme began his England career in a one-day international at Bloemfontein but he wasn’t to make his Test debut for eight years.

His 2008 Test debut as part of the England team against India at Chennai was a turning point in his career and he went on to become one of the country’s greatest ever spin bowlers.

Graeme was part of the victorious England team who claimed the Ashes back from Australia, where he delivered the winning wicket to secure the victory. He is a popular commentator on Test Match Special for the BBC.

The announcement is the second of the day with Vick Hope being revealed as the fifth contestant on Capital FM this morning.

The Newcastle-born star was confirmed by her co-host Roman Kemp and she noted she was “so excited” about joining the line-up.

As well as Vick, the line-up includes YouTube star Joe Sugg, actor Danny John-Jules, Faye Tozer and Katie Piper.

The remaining celebrities taking are expected to revealed throughout the week.

Fans of the BBC series will find out who the seventh contestant will be on Thursday’s edition of This Morning.

The show’s resident doctor, Dr Ranj, has been hotly tipped to be taking to the dance floor this year.

An insider told Mirror Online: “He’s a housewives’ favourite on ITV daytime so he’s sure to have big support when he takes to the dance floor.”

Fans will just have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out if the TV favourite is the next to sign up.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.

  • This is the last chance to get up to 100,000 points when you open a new Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN — 50,000 points after spending $ 10,000 in the first three months, and another 50,000 if you spend an additional $ 15,000 in that same time frame.
  • The limited time welcome offer ends on August 8.
  •  The card offers a ton of valuable benefits, like access to airport lounges, bonus rewards on large purchases, and in-flight Wi-Fi passes.

The Platinum Card from American Express offers a ton of value for cardholders in the form of rewards, benefits, and perks. Even though the card has a $ 550 annual fee, the value you can get for it outweighs the fee — for example, I got more than $ 2,000 of value in my first year with the Platinum card.

  • Marriott and Chase have introduced a brand new credit card, the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card.
  • Recently, Marriott announced that it would be combining its reward program with Starwood Hotels’ Preferred Guest program this August (Marriott acquired Starwood in 2016). This credit card is the first official product launch under the new program.
  • For a limited time, you can earn 100,000 Marriott points when you sign-up for the new card and spend $ 5,000 in the first three months.

Last month, Marriott announced a new, integrated loyalty program for guests across its portfolio of hotels. The announcement marked the first time that the brand has had one unified set of benefits across its three brands — the company previously kept a separate program for the luxury Ritz-Carlton brand, and following Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood Hotels in 2016, it kept the Starwood Preferred Guest rewards program in place.

  • This month, IHG — the owner of major hotel brands like Intercontinental and Holiday Inn — announced two new co-branded rewards credit cards.
  • While some brand loyalists were disappointed to see any changes made to its previous card, there are a slew of new benefits added to the new cards.
  • While there are two cards to choose from, one of them — the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card — offers much more value than the other.

It’s been a time of change for the hotel loyalty and rewards landscape. Marriott recently announced steps to integrate its loyalty program with Starwood Preferred Guest (Marriott acquired Starwood Hotels in 2016), announcing new credit cards in the process, and Hilton dropped Citi as one of the providers of its co-branded credit cards, aligning exclusively with American Express.
