In the latest instalment’s final moments, Alicia infiltrated the Professor’s hideout and held him hostage at gunpoint.

With the fate of the criminal genius and his band of criminals hanging in the balance, fans are waiting on the edge of their seats to find out if the former inspector will pull the trigger.

Meanwhile, some viewers are letting their imaginations run wild and have formed some intriguing theories regarding Alicia’s true identity.

A significant portion of fans are already convinced Alicia bears a striking resemblance to Tatiana (Diana Gómez), a minor character revealed in flashbacks.

Money Heist season 5 theories: Major clue Alicia Sierra will join The Professor revealed https://briefnews.eu/money-heist-season-5-theories-major-clue-alicia-sierra-will-join-the-professor-revealed/ https://briefnews.eu/money-heist-season-5-theories-major-clue-alicia-sierra-will-join-the-professor-revealed/#respond Sat, 04 Jul 2020 04:35:14 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/money-heist-season-5-theories-major-clue-alicia-sierra-will-join-the-professor-revealed/

Money Heist fans were on the edge of their seats throughout season four as the gang struggled to stay in control of the Bank of Spain robbery. Fortunately as the series came to an end, it looked as though they were back in control as Lisbon (played by Itziar Ituño) entered the bank and they all declared they’d finish the heist in honour of Nairobi (Alba Flores). However, what the gang don’t know is Alicia (Najwa Nimri) has tracked down The Professor (Alvaro Morte) and is holding him hostage.

Fans of La Casa De Papel are divided over whether or not Alicia will be allowed to join the gang given that she tortured Rio (Miguel Herran) after he was captured at the start of season three.

While many insist The Professor will not allow her anywhere near the heist, others think the fact Bella Ciao was playing at the end of season four confirms she will team up with the gang.

Alicia was quickly dropped by the Spanish police force when their dirty tactics to take down the gang and end the Bank of Spain heist were revealed.

Rio shared a live video stream explaining what happened to him while he was tortured while Marseille (Luka Peroš) travelled to the hole where he was buried alive to confirm the claims.

The fan went on to explain it’s not exactly a storyline they want to see develop but they could see it happening.

They concluded: “I don’t think Alicia would go down well with the crew, considering she got Nairobi shot, and Raquel wasn’t a big fan of her either. Just thought I’d point it out.”

The latest theory about Alicia joining the team comes after one fan suggested she is actually related to The Professor and Berlin (Pedro Alonso).

They explained there are a lot of similarities between the characters as they are all “super intelligent, can predict other people’s next moves, are real bosses and love music”.

Reddit user Tiffy00 added: “They like to be admired and everyone to listen to them, they are funny, they always want to have the control and enjoy when other are in pain.

“Also Berlin wanted to kill Monica, although she was pregnant and Alicia used Axel to shoot Nairobi. So they don’t appreciate mother-child issues.

“Plus Berlin wanted to kill Rio and Alicia tortured him. They could be twins! Perhaps Alicia is a lost sister and Professor and she will find out and that’s why she will help him.”

Money Heist season 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix now.

Metal Jesus Rocks

Al Lowe, one of Sierra On-Line‘s seminal game creators and programmers, has been sitting on a pile of his original games’ source code files for over 30 years, fully convinced that they are worthless.

“I’m 72 years old, and none of my kids want this junk!” Lowe said in an interview with YouTube personality MetalJesusRocks (aka Jason Lindsey, himself an ex-Sierra developer and a friend of Ars). “Does anybody?”

Today, Apple released the latest update for macOS. High Sierra 10.13.5 primarily adds Messages in iCloud support, but it also includes some enterprise and security updates. Users of supported Macs can download and install it from the Mac App Store now.

Messages in iCloud has been in the works for a long time, and it has appeared and disappeared from various beta releases of Apple software. It was added in iOS 11.4 earlier this week, and now it’s supported on Macs. The feature allows you to store communications you receive and send within the Messages app—plus associated file attachments—in iCloud to save space on your local device. It also means that changes like deleting messages are propagated across devices, and a new Mac that is logged into your iCloud account will immediately have access to your Messages history.

Note that this feature will require you to have some free storage in iCloud, as that service comes with a fee that scales based on the amount of storage you choose.

Lagging a little behind the beta releases of iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1, Apple today released the first public beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.5. A release exclusively for developers arrived last night. 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 gives Raptor and Ram a new off-road rival https://briefnews.eu/2019-gmc-sierra-at4-gives-raptor-and-ram-a-new-off-road-rival/ https://briefnews.eu/2019-gmc-sierra-at4-gives-raptor-and-ram-a-new-off-road-rival/#respond Tue, 27 Mar 2018 07:06:24 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/2019-gmc-sierra-at4-gives-raptor-and-ram-a-new-off-road-rival/

The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 blends off-road hardware into a modern, thoroughly updated pickup truck that doesn’t skimp on power, luxury, or safety equipment. From its higher suspension setup to its available carbon-fiber cargo bed and the new MultiPro tailgate, the 2019 Sierra AT4 is a direct shot across the bow — or cargo beds, if you prefer — of staunch rivals like the Ford F-150, Dodge Ram and Toyota Tundra.

Revealed tonight in New York City, ahead of this week’s New York International Auto Show, the truck may seem to be in a strange setting. Then again, with the amount of tire-swallowing potholes currently scattered around the Big Apple, a rugged truck like the Sierra AT4 could be the perfect vehicle for either off-road excursions or an especially bumpy commute.

Riding two inches higher than the standard 2019 Sierra, the AT4 comes with standard features like all-wheel-drive with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential, Rancho monotube shock absorbers designed specifically for off-roading, along with skid plates and 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires or optional, mud-loving Goodyear Wrangler Duratecs.

Hill descent control and GMC’s Traction Select system are also standard. The latter of these two lets the driver choose between preset drive modes, suitable for various types of terrain and weather conditions. The system then adjusts throttle response, shift points, and the electronic stability control according to each mode.

“The 2019 Sierra AT4 is designed for the customer who wants an elevated presence on the road and the capability to venture off life’s beaten path,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC. “It’s also the beginning for the AT4 brand, which will be seen on every vehicle in our lineup in the next two years.”

Based on the new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the GMC Sierra (including the AT4 model) looks to stand out from its corporate cousin in terms luxury touches, along with some subtle exterior details. For the AT4, these visible differences include a body color grill surround and bumpers. Meanwhile, the inner grille, front fog-lights and faux fender vents feature a black-chrome finish. It’s not flashy, which is probably exactly what GMC wanted for its upscale truck.

The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V8, though buyers can choose an optional 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six or 6.2-liter V8. These two engines both come fitted to a 10-speed automatic gearbox, while the 5.3-liter is paired to an eight-speed.

There are plenty of options to choose from, including safety-conscious choices like a surround-view camera, blind spot alerts, automatic low-speed emergency braking, and lane change alerts. Convenience features include a head-up display, as well as a lightweight cargo bed constructed partly out of carbon-fiber.

This cargo bed, called the CarbonPro, uses carbon-fiber composite in the floor and inner panels, to help trim approximately 60 lbs. of weight compared to a traditional, all-steel bed construction. GMC has even molded in three wheel indents into the forward section of the bed, for those truck owners who routinely haul motorcycles and quads.

Another intriguing item that comes standard on the GMC Sierra AT4 is the new MultiPro tailgate. This handy feature flips and folds itself into six different configurations, making life much simpler when it comes to loading up the cargo bed, or working from the road. Combined with the CarbonPro cargo bed, GMC is making a good case for itself as being a leader when it comes to taking the stress out of heavy-hauling in a pickup.

The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 goes on sale this fall. Exact pricing will be announced closer to the truck’s on-sale date.

Since the Ford Raptor began flying off dealer lots in 2010, Ram and General Motors have responded only halfheartedly, leaving the Blue Oval’s Baja racer in a class of its own. That will still be the norm for full-size pickups after the arrival of this 2019 GMC Sierra AT4, a far less intense off-roader than the latest Raptor or the Hellcat-powered Rebel anticipated later this year.

–

The AT4—short for All-Terrain 4, a burlier, trail-hardened trim that will spread across the GMC lineup—is, by comparison, a relatively mild tweak of the all-new Sierra 1500 for less extreme off-road duty. Visually, it’s a Denali with a two-inch lift kit, red tow hooks, and enough darkened chrome pieces to pass for yet another “midnight” edition. Available in crew-cab trucks with the short bed, the AT4 has standard four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case (of course) and sports standard 18-inch wheels wearing mud-rated Goodyear Wranglers and suspended by Rancho monotube dampers that come from a small Michigan supplier. Optional 20-inch rims may fill in the giant air gaps in the fender wells. Embroidered headrests, darkened aluminum trim, and all-weather floor mats decorate the interior, which also features hidden storage space within the rear seatbacks and a second tray beneath the seat rests.

New to the AT4 is the Traction Select System, GMC’s take on terrain mapping, which alters throttle, transmission, and stability control settings to suit the environs. It pairs with the standard 5.3-liter V-8 and eight-speed automatic transmission but also is available with the 6.2-liter V-8 or the new turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six. The latter pair come with the 10-speed automatic co-engineered with Ford. A locking rear differential, hill descent control, and four-wheel drive help claw the AT4 out of sticky situations. The bed comes standard with GMC’s multi-piece MultiPro tailgate, also on SLT and Denali trims, and optionally with carbon-fiber panels, also to be an option on Denali models. That aptly named CarbonPro bed has indents designed to snugly secure motorcycle and quad tires, plus it features extra tie-down hooks.

–

–

Otherwise, the AT4 is a pretty normal Sierra 4×4 that can be appointed with all kinds of extra safety aids and electronics like a digital rearview mirror and a multicolor head-up display including an inclinometer. We wish GMC would aim to fly higher, as Chevrolet has indicated it’s ready to do with the mid-size Colorado ZR2. In any case, look for the AT4 starting this fall.
