Coronation Street is not the only acting credit Brabin has under her belt. Brabin has also had notable roles in EastEnders as Roxy Drake and Carole in Emmerdale. Her other credits include Law and Order: UK, Undeniable and Midsomer Murders. Brabin last appeared on screen in 2014 as Roz Conlon in Casualty. In August 2016, Brabin stood as MP in the Batley and Spen by-election and in October 2016, she was officially elected. From 2017 until January 7, 2020, Brabin served as the Shadow Minister for Early Years. She appointed Shadow Culture Secretary by Jeremy Corbyn on January 7, succeeding Deputy Labour Leader, Tom Watson. Coronation Street airs 7:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV
The 23-time grand slam champ had to come from behind in a third-set stunner which left fans in Rod Laver Arena and all over the world on the edge of their seat.
When the 37-year-old snatched a memorable win just a few minutes after she looked on the ropes facing three break points on her serve, the entire arena erupted in an enormous release of nervous energy.
Everyone, that is, except for Serena’s mum Oracene Price.
Footage of Price, 66, at the moment Serena sealed her 6-1 4-6 6-4 victory barely flinching as the stadium erupted around her has turned instantly into a gif of world-class standard.
The footage showed every member of Serena’s playing box, including coach Patrick Moouratoglou, exploding with emotion after the win. On closer inspection, the internet quickly lost its mind by the footage of Oracene calmly sitting unperturbed by the madness unfolding around her.
Serena, just look at the reaction on this arena. Everyone is on their feet.
To make things worse for Oracene, her ice cold refusal to cheer her daughter’s big moment was highlighted on the big screen in the middle of Williams’ post-match on-court interview with Channel 9’s Sam Smith.
“Serena, just look at the reaction on this arena. Everyone is on their feet,” Smith said as the awkward shot of Oracene refusing to budge was played on the big screen.
Williams may not have seen it on first look, but the footage soon spread across the world – as did the jokes it more than warranted.
Most poked fun of the fact that after 23 slams, only silverware gets Oracene on her feet these days.
Others have pointed out that Williams’ phenomena record would also have made it no surprise for Oracene to see her daughter dispatch another high-ranked opponent.
Williams’ other responses in her post-match interview were much more serious than she normally provides, but after going to war for almost two hours against a red-hot Halep, she was in a serious mood.
“It was really intense match and it was some incredible points,” she said.
“I love playing tennis and I love being out here, and I love this court. It is really cool to be out and playing again on this court.
“I really needed to elevate my game. She is the number one player in the world and there is a reason why. She elevates her game and she plays well and she is just a great player. In order for to stay out there I had to play a little bit like I knew I could and I do. Hopefully that was the difference.
“I am just a fighter, I never give up. I don’t know, it is something that is definitely e nature. It is a miracle that I am here, I get to do something that I enjoy. This is my job. My job is to come out and play in front of you guys. It is a super pleasure. So that gets me motivated to just keep trying and to keep fighting for literally every point.”
Williams next plays No. 7 seed Karolina Pliskova. She still needs three more wins to raise another Australian Open trophy and maybe get Oracene out of her seat.
Dancing On Ice 2019 began with a bang last week as the likes of Gemma Collins and James Jordan stunned judges – in more ways than one.
This weekend was set to see the remaining six contestant take to the ice and display their growing talents, however Brian McFadden may not appear.
A source revealed Brian suffered an injury during rehearsal yesterday.
They went on to explain Brian has “partially dislocated his shoulder and damaged his rotator cuff.”
They continued to say Brian could not rehearse any more yesterday.
But hiss condition is going to be reassessed today.
Images show Brian being checked over by a doctor who is presumably working out what was wrong with his shoulder.
It is as of yet unclear if this will force Brian to stop dancing in tonight’s episode of the show.
If he were not able to dance in the show this evening it is unclear whether he would automatically be put through to next week without any score.
Brian’s injury follows reports of him sustaining an alternative injury earlier this week.
His partner, Alex Murphy, reportedly told The Sun they had quite a fall during rehearsal.
She explained: “We had a fall, it was pretty bad.
“He was really anxious after that but I told him not to worry and hopefully it’s out of his system.”
However Brian denied these claims on his Twitter account, as he retweeted one of the articles.
He captioned the article: “Not true kids! I’m brand new and ready to roll!!! X.”
Brian isn’t the only contestant taking a tumble so far in the competition.
Melody Thornton recently revealed she fell during one of her practice sessions.
She told The Sun: “I was trying to put one foot behind the other and I stepped on my blasé and went backwards flying but landed on my face.
“It was so intense. You immediately want to cry.”
Dancing On Ice continues tomorrow at 6pm on ITV.
As a freelancer in New York City, I’m regularly hauling around a backpack filled with my computer, its charger, a work book, a fun book, hand sanitizer, a water bottle, a just-in-case umbrella, and about 14 inkless pens. My bag not only burdens my back, but it also strains my neck, shoulders, legs, and arms as I contort my body to fit into crowded subways and carry it in one hand while the other roots around for an elusive, working pen. Then when I arrive at my destination, I sit down and type for hours, hunching over my laptop like Golem guarding his precious.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

Arthritis is a condition that affects the joints of millions of people of all ages, including children.
Symptoms range from joint pain, tenderness and stiffness to restricted movement of the joints.
A common area of the body arthritis can manifest itself is in the shoulder. The pain can be debilitating and painkillers are often prescribed for patients to treat and slow down the condition.
But for those looking for a more natural way to relieve pain the shoulders there particular shoulder exercises you can try.
Most cases of shoulder pain aren’t caused by anything serious and will ease within two weeks, explains Arthritis Research UK, who also recommends five shoulder exercises.
The research charity explains: “Stand in a doorway with both arms on the wall slightly above your head. Slowly lean forward until you feel a stretch in the front of your shoulders.
“Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat three times. This exercise isn’t suitable if you have a shoulder impingement.”
This exercise begins by standing in a doorway with your elbow bent at a right angle and the back of your wrist against the door frame.
Next it says: “Try to push your arm outwards against the door frame. Hold for five seconds. Do three sets of 10 repetitions on each side.”
“Use your other arm and, still with your elbow at a right angle, push your palm towards the door frame,” it explains.
Then: “Hold for five seconds. Do three sets of 10 repetitions on each side.”
Begin by standing with your good hand resting on a chair. It then says: “Let your other arm hang down and try to swing it gently backwards and forwards and in a circular motion.
“Repeat about five times. Try this two to three times a day.”
It explains: “Stand and raise your shoulders. Hold for five seconds. Squeeze your shoulder blades back and together and hold for five seconds.
“Pull your shoulder blades downward and hold for five seconds. Relax and repeat ten times.”
Taking supplements could also help the condition. Clinical nutritionist and Healthspan’s head of Nutrition Rob Hobson and medical nutritionist Dr Sarah Brewer recommend taking turmeric.
Turmeric is currently being added to a range of foods, drinks and supplement, and for good reason, said Dr Brewer.
She explained: “The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory antioxidant which helps damp down pain and swelling in inflamed joints.”
Rob added: “Most of the studies on turmeric have been carried out using very strong extracts and you’d have to eat an awful lot of curries to get that much curcumin. The other problem is curcumin isn’t naturally water-soluble, so the body struggles to absorb it. To truly gain the benefits you need to take a supplement.”
Healthspan offers Opti-Turmeric, a liquid capsule containing high potency cur curcumin. Alternatively, Rob and Dr Brewer recommend Organic Turmeric Gold Latte.
Other supplements they recommend include CBD oil ad St Paul’s Wort.

Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has opted for surgery to remove bone spurs in both of his heels.
General manager Ross Atkins said Friday that Tulowitzki will have the procedure done Monday and hopes the five-time all-star can get back on the field in eight weeks.
Tulowitzki was placed on the 60-day disabled list before Thursday’s season-opening loss against the New York Yankees.
“It’s been a frustrating off-season and this was (Tulowitzki’s) decision,” Atkins said. “He’s driving it, he’s been driving the whole process. He had five ankle and foot specialists talk to him, three different physical meetings with foot and ankle specialists.
“So at this point without conservative treatment working, (surgery) is the next step.”
Atkins added that the both bone spurs are attached to Tulowitzki’s Achilles tendons. The surgery will remove the spurs and leave the tendons intact.
Additional roster moves:

Tulowitzki hasn’t played since sustaining a right ankle injury last July after his foot landed on Angels first baseman C.J. Cron’s heel at the bag.
The 33-year-old was bothered by the bone spurs after rehabilitating the initial injury.
“They didn’t present themselves until right up to the beginning of spring training with the first (bone spur). We felt we were making some progress then the other foot started bothering him,” Atkins said.
Tulowitzki batted .249 with seven homers and 26 RBIs in 66 games with the Blue Jays last season. He’s hit .250 with 36 home runs and 122 RBI’s since coming to Toronto in a mid-season trade in 2015.
Speaking before Friday night’s home game against New York, Atkins also said the team plans on using third baseman Josh Donaldson as a designated hitter until his “dead arm phase” lifts.
The 2015 American League most valuable player was affected by weakness in his throwing arm during Thursday’s game.
Donaldson said afterwards that he wasn’t experiencing any pain in his shoulder, but that he had been dealing with it since spring training.
Atkins did not provide a timetable for Donaldson’s return to third base.
“For a dead arm phase it really is just working through it,” Atkins said. “Physically and structurally he’s fine.”
“It really is a day-to-day issue,” he added. “It could be a week, it could be significantly more, could be less.”
]]>forced to leave the field at Eden Park in the T20 tri-series final with a dislocated shoulder.
Already plagued by neck and shoulder complaints for the past two seasons of the Big Bash League, Lynn fell awkwardly during the ninth over of New Zealand’s innings as he tried in vain to save a single with a sprawling dive while fielding inside the ring at mid-wicket.

He sprinted to his left side before flinging himself and attempting to stop the ball with his right arm, appearing to jar his shoulder on the turf.
He immediately lay prone on the turf as the batsmen scurried through for a single, and Australia’s medical staff came out to attend to the stricken star, escorting him from the field as the batsman clutched his right shoulder in pain.
It was later confirmed that Lynn had dislocated his shoulder but had popped it back into place. However, he will remain off the field for the rest of the innings but it would be then reassessed.
It continues a terrible run of luck for Lynn, who is among the most-dominant batsmen in T20 cricket when fit.
The 27-year-old had his left shoulder reconstructed last year and had also struggled with calf and hamstring issues.
Lynn earlier in the week said his body was feeling the best it had in recent memory.
“These last four games that I’ve played, my confidence has gone through the roof with my physical preparation and intensity out on the field,” Lynn said. “The start of the series was a bit daunting for me, taking off for running and (knowing) whether I can dive or not.
“Now every game, I’m getting less apprehensive and more confident.”
Lynn has made a conscious effort not to dive this summer following a series of crippling injuries to his left shoulder.
He returned to the KFC Big Bash League with his club Brisbane Heat ahead of schedule having undergone surgery on his left shoulder over the winter.
But Lynn’s injury struggles prompted him to pass up a state contract this summer with Queensland.
He was also forced to pull out of Australia’s recent one-day international series against England with a calf issue.
Helena was caught in a rather unusual situation when she tried to kiss James Ivory shortly after he was announced the winner of a BAFTA award.
The actress, who accompanied the legendary filmmaker on the red carpet, was delighted when James was called for the Best Adapted Screenplay Award for his film Call Me By Your Name.
But as James rose to collect his trophy his dear friend Helena, who was sat beside him, suffered a disastrous mishap as she attempted to congratulate him.
Clearly excited about his gong, James rushed to collect his trophy on stage, unfortunately as he did so he accidentally swerved Helena who was trying to give him a peck on the cheek.
For a moment the pair awkwardly fumbled in front of the camera before Helena quickly placed a kiss on the corner of his blazer.
James was then escorted to the stage by Timothee Chalamet, who played Elio in the award winning film.
The peculiar moment didn’t go unnoticed with viewers at home, many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the debacle.
One person wrote: “That awkward moment when you go to kiss someone on the cheek and it goes horribly wrong #BAFTA.”
Another added: “That Helena Bonham Carter jacket kiss is the quality content I tuned in for #eebaftas #BAFTAs.”
A third joked: “I love the awkward, is it a hand shake? Hug? High five? Kiss? When the winner is going up to the stage.”
While another posted: “Helena Bonham Carter should also win an award for most awkward kiss of the night (she got James Ivory’s shoulder).”
A fifth said: “Oh no, that Helena Bonham Carter hug/kiss attempt there was hella awkward.”
This year’s BAFTA ceremony was hosted by Joanna Lumley, who wore a regal black outfit for the prestigious event.
Winners on the night included Gardy Oldham for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in the Darkest Hour.
Daniel Kaluuya took home the EE Rising Star trophy and let slip a secret about the awards event.
The Get Out star revealed that winners have a “countdown” for their speeches to make sure they are not on stage for too long.
